Maxima 90 acceleration/shifting Problem

you will rarely, if ever see a check engine light on a 90 nissan maxima. i would seriously take notice of that.

I had this problem too. 1 of the fuel injector has gone bad and your running only 5 cylinders giving it less power to shift to the next gear.  Once i fix it, it was just like brand new!
