Saw these guys at the Mississippi Moon Bar in the Diamond Jo Casino on Aug 13th. They rocked the house and put Great White to shame. I bought Steven's book as well as Slash's book and Steven seemed to be more honest about everything and everyone including himself. I also read Stephen Davis' book Watch You Bleed, but much like Walk This Way and his wildly popular Hammer of the Gods it seems overblown and sensationalized at the expense of truth and reality. I love Steven's book and think he is one of the most underrated drummers of all time! Sorum is Great, but w/o Steven G'NR was never the same. Come to Flint. MI & Jam!

I have yet to hear a band that one of the original five started that I have disliked, Velvet Revolver,Camp Freddy, Loaded, Izzy and the Ju Ju Hounds, Slash's Snakepit, Hollywood Rose (I maintain my refusal to call it GnR)...... and now Adler's Appetite. You know what they should do? A Mega-Tour. Have all of their current bands tour together and play one after the other every night, ending with a real GnR set. But that's something of an impossibility sadly.

The reason why Steve adler gave so much umpf and adolescent feel to the Appetite for Destruction Album was his use of the cowbell drum. It just gives this great manouverable kick feel to the songs. Matt Sorum had no idea how to use the cowbell and stuck to the bass drum constantly. Adler's use of the cowbell makes him a better more versatyle rhythm player compared to Matt's technical drum machine pieces. So please Steve keep up the cowbells ! Everyone is crying out for more of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
