I still say he was Archie Bunker "s neighbor Barney Hefner but who ever he played or was I enjoyed seeing him in these great old shows.

@Crockerish Yes, he was Barney Hefner in All In The Family, The Bully in The Andy Griffith Show, and he was also Sam the Butcher on The Brady Bunch who was smitten for Alice. Yes, that is Allen Melvin.

I was a cook in the Navy and thanks to this episode, I always referred to a meat cleaver as a "meat axe"!!

This is when Pyle nearly set the mess hall kitchen on fire. I loved this show. It was hilarious when Carter would go ballistic.
