I believe it is a conflict of interest for public workers to have this collective bargaining power over the citizens that pay their wages thru law-enforced taxes. If I can opt out of the public school system completely by paying NO TAXES toward it, and send my kids to private school instead, then these unions can strike, get fake doctors notes, write bad union songs, whine and moan, whatever they want.
