Mostly in part due to the greed and lust for power that lies within the darkest parts of human nature. They take a so-called "Paradise" and turn it into a living hell of suffering for the people, and prosperity for the government.

In communism, everyone is the same. That is a terrible Idea. I hate to break it to idealists, but some people are more capable than others. However, that's not to say that people should just be left out on the streets, we should still provide them with basic needs such as health care and welfare.
