Yea, I liked this episode. The saddest part of this whole Lost series was in this episode, where Linus says to Llana (had to look up this name), "nobody wants me." By far one of the most significant scenes to come out of the whole confusing series.

The guy behind Ben at 0:36 is the principal and he is the actor who plays the journalist in the first 2 Die Hard movies. He was also on Ghostbusters as the man who wanted the storage machine shut down.

haha, alright good. I don't want to see Ben go either. Have you ever watched the commentary for the season 3 episode " the man behind the curtain" where we first see Annie? Well in it Damon and Carlton say that Annie will become of significance later on. They also said that the volcano talked about in that episode would become important. So hopefully they actually bring Annie back up.

This is def the alternate timeline but it's clearly hinting a ben on the island. Ben is just like napoleon he has lost all his power and would almost be better off dead.

It might have more to do with Ben himself. In season 4 and 5 really he was obsessed with keeping his power. He even show Locke because he thought Locke might be the new leader of the others.

So, is this a clue about smoky? If he was exiled to the Island what powerful man was he? A Roman emperor/some other ruler who had way to much power probably. You'd think he'd have to be ancient with all the hieroglyphs.  Also, who put him there?
