Crouching Tiger is the best martial arts film - because it has a deeper story for once. Love that film for all eternity. Not everyone will agree - but I couldn't care less - like others people's opinions matter when it comes to personal taste. People are so quick to criticise when something isn't on 'their list' but if they were to make one, we would all start complaining to. So all I will say is - a job well done!

@121Mayan You've got a serious misconception. I've seen many videos of Tae Kwon Do and Karate practitioners defeating Kung Fu fighters. Kung Fu is indeed beautiful to see in movies but I'm not sure as to how it can be successfully applied in a true fight. I'm not saying it's useless. I just think there's way too much unnecessary movements in Kung Fu. I personally would have included Martial Arts films from other Asian countries, in this list. China is not the only country that makes these films.
