  • So, I may have to learn the vocals to this for a marching band show.... May I ask (if anyone would know) What the heck the words mean? I found lyrics, but am curious as to what they could possibly mean? Or at least what language they are in. =) Thanks!

  • This whole album is a masterpiece. What a musical journey! Anfd for those who haven't seen "Duma," I'd recommned it. It's better than your average family film; plus, the soundtrack is awesome.

  • Que cette musique est mélodieuse et tellement Parfaite Tiré de mon Film préféré Duma.♥ Juste Extraordiaire et magique. !! :D

  • This was the song for my school's winterguard show Freshman year; I have heard this song so many times I know all the words. I still love it. :)

  • This is so amazing. I awakens incredible feelings, it makes me want to dance, cry, shout, laugh, and run forever in the wilderness. It makes me feel connected to nature - to my own, and to the one around me. Makes us One.

  • Good idea for when you don;t know what lyrics to write to your song - just sing the notes :)

  • Mymarching band is playing an Ademus show nd this is one of the songs we are playing in the show and its cool :)

  • Any idea if it would be possible to get just the first 2:03 of this?

  • Ooo... This could help me with my ear training. Beautiful melody too!

  • I dare anyone to perform this at karaoke Friday night! :))))

  • anyone know the lyrics I would love to read what "words" he wrote for this song

  • @AllStater09 they're not words, they're solfege notes. most high school chorus teachers can explain it. I can't, sorry.

  • Gives me chills. This is awesome.

  • I LOVE this music! I LOVE that video!!

  • That film "Duma" is a polish film?

  • the first 4-5 syllables are SO BEAUTIFUL that i absolutely must crank the volume all the way up xD

  • Brings back some good memories from freshman marching band a few years back, definitely my favorite show, such epic music.

  • I feel stupid. I just realized they are singing the sol-fege in the beginning *facepalm*

  • Why all english people think that B is "Ti" ?

Actually, in french and spanish (and all others who use these names), it's

    do (C), ré (D), mi (E), fa (F), sol (G), la (A), si (B) oO

It's amazing I can find an official record, from Karl Jenkins' Adiemus, with this horrible mistake in it :O

  • @Cehexkay you are right but I think it's in favor to stress the consonant and not a mistake.....

  • @ulimaino ya perhabs in order not to be confused with "C"... I talked bout that with english musicians, they were convinced that I was mistaking x)

    Cool song anyways ^^

  • @Cehexkay

I'm not an expert on solfege specifics, but in my college textbooks the seventh scale degree is listed as 'ti'. Even my NAWM listed 'ti'. I'm guessing English speaking people's use 'ti' instead of 'si', and therefore it's not a 'horrible mistake' that Jenkins' lyrics followed suit.

No reason to be pedantic....just sayin :P

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • i wish i knew what was being said.

  • @Sora657 its the freaking solfege lol do re mi fa so la ti do lol

  • @tjbritt13 oh Lmao XD i thought it was a different language.

  • @Sora657 nothing is being said. Karl Jenkins doesn't use actually words, it's all like random syllables

  • @dleduddet i wonder how much weed he smokes lol

  • @dleduddet because in the chromatic system, i is added when half step up:

    Ascending chromatic scale:

DO DI RE RI MI FA FI SOL SI LA LI TI DO

    Descending Chromatic scale:

DO TI TE LA LE SOL SE FA MI ME RE RA DO

  • @mmyylleenn How ignorant of you to bring god into this. Couldnt you have just said "How beautiful" instead of referencing God. For you to call people arrogant because they dont share the same religous belief as yours is arrogant and ignorant. Remember Myleen thats how wars are started.

  • @dinglenutzz I think mmyylleenn was just trying to point out how amazing the world is. I agree with her, this world is too awesome to have been an accident. Also, she didn't mention any specific religion.

  • Amazing song ! Stunningly beautiful animal ! And there are still people out there that say theres no God........... how arrogant . This is pure beauty ! ColorfulSky......thank you.....:)

  • OMG!! At 00:46 the kitty is so cute! Solfege is awesome and I love the whole video very good choice!

    -Ria

  • This is the only recording of "Song of Aeolus" on YouTube. I'm so glad I found it!

  • no its not theres about 3 of them that i have found, there is another one like this and one set to a video of the movie serenity

  • Oh, well. This was the only one I originally found. It doesn't matter. Besides, I love this video!

  • Lovely!

  • Nothing like stumbling over old music on accident and falling in love with it all over again. Karl Jenkins, you are forever re-instated as one of my favorite composers.

  • Very true. Last time I listened my parents were splitting up, kind of thought back then I'd hate it forever.

    But it's so superb.

  • I ♥ this song!

  • Ang??? Thee Ang??? LOL...hi.

  • Thanks for the link, spyderworks - already made a playlist for it LOL. Music is superb; video is an excellent choice as backdrop.

  • Hey Spydr - this is WONDERFUL!!!

  • HEy look everybody! It's Angelvallone!!

  • It is a pretty song with a great story line,...

    Wise ass!

    X

    :)

  • haha wow i cant believe i found this! my marching band is playing it this season it sounds great

  • thats funny i just gave almost the exact comment when i found in caelum fero. yea this show rocks!

  • ya same here

  • 8000 get

  • the only qualms I have about Karl Jenkins at all is that he occasionally attempts to borrow ideas that Phillip Glass has already put in a wonderful setting. But I enjoy his blend of neo-baroque harmonies, modality, african drum rhythms, Spanish, Celtic, etc.

  • yay a minor in fixed do solfege

  • the video is super near perfectly

  • this is one of the best converted-to-marching band songs ever. im playin it and it rulez

  • omg this song gives me chillss its just so amazing... ahhhh

our marching band is doing this song for this marching season an im soooooo excited i cant wait to be playing and marching this song

    TROMBONESSSSS =]

  • I can't find this song anywhere besides here!!!!!!

  • uhm that's cool

  • One of most beutiful video variation with Adiemus music what I ever seen !

Wery well done ! Realy !

  • i love this video<3

i love the nature espacially afrika ;)

    colorful you are great =)

  • I remember doing this song in conjunction with Adiemus by ENYA. Great song and I love the vid.

  • You know Enya didn't have any part in producing Adiemus. It was written by Karl Jenkins, sung by Miriam Stockely.

  • Ha ha - the lyrics are just solfa. Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do :)

It's almost like the sound of music.

  • Haha, I hadn't noticed that. But you're right. Not entirely though, but a lot of it is just that

  • Huh, thanks for bringing that to my attention. For the most part, it's true.

  • Like how the video fits the music. Good job, Colorful!

  • A beautiful song and video! I can't get over the baby cheetahs!

  • Amazing song!

    Thanks for uploading it!

  • Karl Jensen's music is divine! One of the rare contemporary composers who truly know the art of music.

  • It is truly amazing that something as flawless as this song can come from the mind and mouths of humans.

THIS is what music really is!

  • the first time I heard this song was 1998 when I went to a color guard competition to watch a few friends and they used this song. I have had it since!

  • magic

  • how sweet, I've never seen something like this before, awsome, oh ah ;d
