OH Man, sometimes I forget just how great Woody was and what a heavy bass sound he had. A lot of people dont know that McCartney was Woody's favorite bass player Just fantastic!!!
This was originally done (written) by The Beatles. Again this G-Mule version is a more melodic, and captures the feeling of the mood the song portrays. Government Mule Rocks!
Haha, I do like it, but I never realized that it was a popular song and just recently realized it was written by Lennon and McCartney. Government Mule are great too.
months before Allen Woody die...

If I were a songwriter/performer I'd be content if Govt Mule didn't cover any of my songs and that's mainly because they'd do a better version. :-P

She said "I know what it's like to be dead"
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born.
I said "Who put all those things in your hair ?"
Things that make me feel that I'm mad
And you're making me feel like I've never been born.
She said "you don't understand what I said"
I said "No, no, no, you're wrong"
When I was a boy everything was right
Everything was right

That melted my face off. Respectfully remembering standing in the Woodshed...
I wish Warren and the guys the best of luck for "Mule phase #4".
You can find some of the new bass player's stuff on here if you search his name.
