  • nice work. Beautiful sounding.

  • This variation should be the theme for the sequel/prequel they're making. It the same while sounding fresh!

  • Great, I'm amazed !

  • oh my god that is so good i am inpressed that is the closest i have heard but i cant seem to find the hole of the origanal if you can tell me it would be apreasiated

    chears heeps

  • @BullsWool300 draw it.

  • I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. [pause] Time to die!! Best freaking sci fi movie of all time. WAY ahead of its time for sure. I still think those female replicants are smoking hot!!

  • !!!!!Joder¡¡¡¡¡ que bonito

  • now i see where mass effect got their inspiration from for that prothean song

  • imagine what he could do with a real cs80!..awesome stuff!.

  • Okay, I'm a good guitar player, I'm classically trained, and can read music. I know some theory, and can play some very simple stuff on keyboards. I'm into Rick Wakeman, ELP, Vangelis, Rush...you get the picture. I am a decent musician but I REALLY want to get good at synth, where do I even start? I don't have a teacher, but am willing to teach myself.

  • That Moog is SOOOOOOOOOOO FAT!!!!

  • Just... WOW

  • shiver, very great.

  • Really great...

But the CS80 emulation by the LP could be better...

Nevertheless, it's a very good job... and i usually don't like covers... :o)

  • @KaeRZed Hahaha the only thing that can emulate a CS80 is a CS80. Moog LP not in same universe. Last Yamaha CS80 I saw on eBay was $18,500 prolly more than that whole rig! ;-)

  • @verve92 I know that. I didn't say that a LP could emulate a CS80. I just said that this emulation was quite good, but perfectible... :o)

  • @verve92 - - Recreating CS-80 is possible. Right keyboard controller with module something like the Waldorf Micro-Q or similar. Not exact, but very, very close - or better in some ways. Or you could look for an Electone E-70

  • just an amazing Job!!!! I haven´t seen such a great performance for a long time!!!

  • muy digital... el Sr Vangelis no estaria de acuedo con esto, aun asi, esta bueno.

  • EPICO

  • great man!

  • genial ...muy bueno

  • great. Love the strings on the Trinity and the LF pitch bend ;-)

  • THANK YOU! "Do androids dream of electric sheep?"

  • Sunuva Bitch!!! That is fucking cool! how much for one of those Korg Vododer Synths?

  • nice, now let's hear some originals instead of a bunch of covers?

  • You've talent, it's sure !!!

  • wow, well done!!

  • Awesome! Synthesizers rule!

  • esrupenda

  • When I close my eyes, the whole opening scene of the movie is played in my head.

    Wonderful !!

  • Really nice. Korg's a bit thin though!

  • Very educational.

  • thats awesome job

  • I never realized how beautiful the Blade Runner main theme was! How could I missed it!?

  • the best version ive ever heard!

  • Fantastic!

  • I suggest you all listen to this with the &fmt=18 on the end of the url after the video code, since this is an older video it doesn't have the button for the 480 version. It helps brighten up the sound of the lead!

    Awesome work btw!

  • This gives me goose bumps! A+ !!

  • It was beautiful in Blade Runner with the sun set.

  • Awesome indeed! I'm very impressed! This is probably my favorite movie theme of all time and I would say you'd make Vangelis VERY proud of he heard this himself!

  • awesome!

  • Thrills... Superb!

  • superb!

  • Great!

  • Wonderful!!!!!!! The Moog as the lead shows how great it is :)

  • great moogy cs brass on the phatty.

  • Was the bell like sound originally done on an FM board? Like the GS which I heard Vangelis had one of?

  • 1:10 - 1:20 unbelievable.

  • This is absolutely incredible!!!

  • Very Nice, and Beautiful Sounds! You have great taste in keyboards. I have the EXACT same setup! A Little Phatty over a Trinity with a Radias to the left side. Hah!

    Live Performance...

  • Gran bel video e gran bei suoni! Mi viene voglia di comprare un Radias anche a me.. XD

  • That Radias has loads of detail in it's sound wher do you learn the Blade Runner songs.

  • that slow bend at the end is rad! nice

  • bravissimo questa è la musica

  • Great effort. You've captured a lot of the elements and feel of the original. Amazing what you can do with a few synths. It's quite inspiring.

Well done! Look forward to seeing more of your work.

  • Great, paisano!

  • This is great - is the chord progression published anywere...?

  • It's a wee bit "Close Encounters" sounding, but still an excellent effort.

  • damn that was tight nice setup!

And the Radias for the pad... I'm dying to get this synth...

  • I will never ever shake this out of my head. for the first time I heard it was a teaser clip of Westwoods game. about 12 years ago I dont exactly remember.

I didnt see the movie yet and didnt even know if it existed. I was blown away

    awesome

thanks for sharing this clip mate

  • oh man, i remember the blade runner pc game by westwood too!! that game was one of the best!!! ...

i know what you mean about this music, it is one of a kind... vangelis is a very talented man, with a unique vision in his sound. and this keyboardist really plays the song amazingly.

  • @adegamisoumounopano

    Me too. Great sounds.

  • 5 *****

  • How do you get such a subtle sound from a Moog??

Would you mind telling me what are the settings that you used?

  • Goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice,

    Did you used any softsynth?

Can you tell me what is the unit on top of your left synth?

    Thanks

  • thats the korg radias (the 'unit' is actually part of it)

  • id kill for a KORG radias.

  • awesome!!!

  • very nice

  • it`s nearly a year ago I watched this video

    but I still love it

  • Huh?

  • Intro way too drawn out and the extra notes you fill in detract from the overall mood of the piece. Not bad, just not great. I had a go myself and it ain't easy and I don't have the equipment you do. I didn't nail the modulations but then again...who does?

  • We'll pick angels of a pin instead?

  • Fantastic. Korg synths really are the dog's bollox aren't they. Well played I love this music.

  • Synthesiser pornography. love it

  • @danb92uk Don't disrespect Blade Runner bub!

  • Exellent stuff!

  • that was really cool

  • You should check out a guy named "meastempo". His video is called "That Vangelis Bladerunner Sound...". It's amazing how accurate his sound is. Not taking anything away from you though...fantasic job!! 5/5

  • oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is perfect! Play blade runner blues, please. It´s my dream, too see if someone can play that song live. PLEASE :(:(!!!!

  • bravissimo gianni!proprio i suoni giusti.grande musica.10 e lode.

  • F**cking awesome

  • This sound. It freezes my blood. Perfect.

  • good works my friend...

  • Very very good.

  • Wouaw i love it !

i'm dreaming...thank's. but what is the name of the grey keyboard on your left ?

  • Korg Radias

  • Thank's very much ! sorry it was written in the end of video..smile !

You're a master really, like mik300z too on youtube !

    Désolé je suis français...

  • @serge77000 Technically two of them are grey. ; ]

  • nice work. i love blade runner! its my sleeping movie :)

  • they should produce an epic theme like this into the Half Life movie. especially when entering the Xen world.

  • Too peaceful.

  • Incredible. Blade Runner is my favourite film ever with LOTR.

  • same here, they both capture atmosphere.

  • All this stuff can be easely replaced with the propellerheads reason 3 and one midi keyboard ;)

  • Yeah but it would take you in particular about three days to sequence, and the sound quality would be wimpy and lame.

This guy did it in 2 minutes, in realtime. Can you do that in Reason 3 ? (big reason fan here, btw) :)

  • Not three days - several hours would be enoght for sequence and combinator preset.

Quality depends on your soundcard. But if you talking about reproducing this sound in details...may be it wiil take more time.

Also I'm not sure that this video represent absolutely the same sound ;)

  • I guess that's why he said "you in particular". A Pro could sequence this in less than a day, but an amateur? No.

  • You are top notch, can we make requests????

    :D

I'd love to hear you do "Plainsong" by the Cure. That is an amazing synth piece and with your talent you'd blow it away I'm sure.

  • Dans un monde de violence,un peu de tendresse et poésie, et de douceur n'est ce pas appréciable...Magnifique interprétaion....

  • Awesome sounds and playing, totally brilliant, thank you for sharing with us all

  • fantastic - nice job! very authentic synth patches as well.

  • out of all your tunes, which are all good, this is my absolute favorite man. i watch it often, goosebumps everytime.
