actually this statement does not contradict islam. For we know as muslims that no one can get us into heaven except Allah and by his mercy. But we also have to believe in all the prophets that came before including Muhammad AND Jesus. and someone who does not believe that Jesus is a prophet and the messiah, is not a muslim. therefore, Jesus is PART of what is required to go to heaven.

@al147316 Yeah, he was the way, but you can't measure how much distortion the Bible carries, because of they are written so later (after Jesus lived (pbuh)), and the synoods (where mortals tried to play God and decide what is the way), that's why it was needed for Muhammad to come - as it was predicted by Allah, and said by Jesus himself, so if you say you can get to Heaven only through him, you have to follow Muhammad. Yes, belief in the prophets is a fundamental article of faith to anyone calling him/herself a muslim. Now clarification, only God, Allah (swt) the creator of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, the most gracious, the most merciful, the creator NOT the creation is the only glorified one to decide whether you get into heaven my friend. Ask him alone :) tc
