u cannot compare the skills of doug williams to a legend like eddie guerrero seriously eddie G can out manuever, out wrestle, outsmart out submit him and can do it all better then dougie lol i love eddie G rip we will miss you
Guerrero is the man...Doug Williams sucks. I just don't see the appeal. How is it that Eddie is Hispanic and has better European uppercuts than a guy from Europe lol.
Damn Eddie was huge at this point!!!! Fuck Vince for encouraging all his wrestlers 2 use roids!!!!! Sure he'll b a bastard and say he didn't encourage him itself but we all know its true!!!!! Look at any wrestler that worked for WWE from 1980-2008ish
You dont see this much anymore. Two guys in a ring who know what they are doing. Wrestling today is so heavily coached by writing staffswith confusing and contridictory advice/suggestions/orders that it just seems to me that the guys in the ring look like they don't know what they are doing. These two guys, know exactly what they are doing and can do it on the fly.
Fantastic Match right there! We need more matches like this in today's wrestling. WWE has just not done that, TNA is alright but there are still too many matches under five minutes.
Eddie I always have and I always will respect the hell out of you! He will never be forgotten, because Our Legend that is Eddie Guerrero Lives on in our Hearts. Forever.
@killaPej It was after he got fired from WWE for a short period of time. It only lasted a few months and he was back. He also did the first ROH show during this time.
If anybody wants to know why WWE sucks, watch this match and then try to find a match similar to this on WWE. If WWE had matches like these, it would be a lot easier sitting through 2 hours of SD, 1 hour of ECW. RAW is impossible to watch.
@barley96 RAW has a match this good about once every 2 years, except now they have Bryan Daniel, CM Punk, and Evan Bourn putting on some good matches lately, i'm sure it won't last. They'll be jobing to some half talented all talk wrestler in two months from now.
commentary was shaky at times but atleast they knew what the wrestling moves were. Doug Williams has wrestled so many top guys and had great matches against all of them. He's wrestled Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Chris Hero, Eddie Guerrero, Lance Storm, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Alex Shelley, Christopher Daniels. On top of that Japanese legends like Mitsuharu Misawa, Yoshinari Ogawa, Akira Taue I think he might've wrestled Kenta Kobashi also. Very underrated wrestler.
Samoa Joe's worked for Zero-1, NOAH and ROH, CM Punk's worked for ROH, TNA and WWE, Chris Hero;s toured with NOAH and works for ROH, Eddie Guerrero legend, Lance Storm worked for CWA, WAR, ECW, WCW and WWE, Bryan Danielson's worked for ROH, New Japan and toured with NOAH, Nigel McGuinness ROH and NOAH, Alex Shelley ROH, TNA and toured New Japan, Christopher Daniels ROH, TNA and New Japan. On top of that Japanese legends Taue, Misawa, Ogawa and Kobashi. Just for your smug response.
Thats because they can't get long term contracts and no one wants to see them on top.. They just realized that people aren't really into ROH and they know most stars(bryan danielson needs a big time gimmick change or a mask before he is accepted in WWE) from ROH can't hold a cup to the WWE superstars.. So they had Punk win by cheap match after cheap match(aka the money in the bank) because they knew their audience would be like how is this tiny guy beating the heavyweight.. and it showed true
Yeah ok mr. booker, thats why WWE are just about to raid ROH for their best talent. Your points pretty much void since Punk is about to fued with Taker, and will more then likely get put over him a few times. Bryan Danielson may not get over in WWE mainly due to his 5ft 9 frame, but he's been voted technical wrestler of the year 3 years in a row by PWI. So him not getting over will not be down to his wrestling ability which he'll be allowed to show less of in the WWE.
Yeah he may, but he will probs win it back no more then 2 months later. That's just the nature of the WWE, it only does short reigns. JBL, Cena, HHH and Orton seem to have had one long reign each, HHH maybe more, but they're hard to come by most of the time.
ROH means something because its widely recognised as having the best pure wrestling in North America. Guys like Danielson, Davey Richards, Nigel McGuinness could quite easily be this generations Guerrero, Benoit, Malenko. All have worked all over the world, its not a case of not holding down a contract. They've all worked in Japan like the Benoit's, Malenko's and Guerrero's of this world and all got their first bit of exposure in North America with smaller companies.
Wrestling is just like the rap world.. it peaked in the late 90's early 00's to most people fans of both genres whether it be wrestling or rap music.. ROH is like the fan of the new school.. meaning artists like kid cudi, asher roth, termanology, slaughterhouse.. looking for your new holy grail.. I know that WWE is picking the right people because as of the last 15 years they have.. they passed on Joe and Styles(so smart) and they slowly let their legends go and screw up another company..
CM punk is too sloppy for me.. WWE is making hardy and punk look bad at the same time.. Hardy(he sloppy as well)beat by some boring wrestler who has horrible leg slaps to make his kicks sound hard..(i know they all do it but punk is very lazy and you can see it almost everytime. all his spin kicks then the running knee in the corner. very sloppy) WWE passed on Joe and Styles for a reason. Christopher daniels can heavyweight contend. Danielson just seems boring to me.doug williams is bad ass tho
Sometimes, I scroll down a Youtube page to see if there's anything interesting being said. But, more often than not, all I find is some bored person wishing to spread the love, by making others bored with their gutwrenchingly boring conversations. Please, whatever you had to say, couldn't have had any real legitimacy, because professional wrestling is really not as complicated as some would like us to believe. Shut up.
must be cold all the way up there on your pedestal. tna isn't perfect. but as far as nationally broadcast shows in the US, it's either that or wwe. i'll take tna any day over wwe
Nope, it was after his drugs and stuff. I remember watching this on Bravo at the time, it was a tournament for the "King of England" I was meant to be a revival or major pro wrestling over here, shame it never really boomed. There were some good matches though, this one was the best from what i can remember
Cenas STFU is the worst, weakest submission i have ever seen. There is no thought, strategy behind his move. Come on he's a power wrestler yet ppl tap out to the move even though he hasn't worked over the leg/joint like a good submission wrestler would. Cena what a joke. !!!
@KUNGLO surrriosly and he holds his arm so weird half the time its just not even close to putting any sort of pressure whatsoever on the opponent its just so weak and stupid and vile and ugly and pathetic and worthless and unfortunate and grotesque piece of crap id ever seeeeen
@KUNGLO Yeah, but it doesn't matter in the end, he's like The Rock, (Who did the sharpshooter out of nowhere). He get's over with his mouth, not his in ring work. I'm not saying that's a good thing, just pointing it out incase you're wondering why that meathead is still around.
I saw doug williams wrestle a few years ago and it was amazing. He is really well rounded as a wrestler.Him and Eddie in the same ring, man i wish i could have seen that live.
