Jews are only allowed to live there if they have the agreement of the Palestinians to do or are Palestinian Jews. Otherwise, they are violating international law. I am not trying to judge people who are settlers, but by international law they used the force of an occupying power to take private land held by Arabs to live there. Also, the Palestinians are not citizens of Israel. Also, Arab Israelis can't live in those settlements. It's too much of an oppression of the Palestinians.

You are confusing issues. Tel Aviv is recognized as Israel, not Revava and settlements. Bringing in settlers into the West Bank is based on international law illegal and so is the confiscation of land that Palestinians own.  Jewish Israelis are moved into settlements in order to annex land. Israel annexes the West Bank and Gaza lands and other countries are supposed to give them the nationality? How about withdrawing much of the settlements and creating two states?

The 1948 borders are what apply to Israel, i.e., the borders prior to the 1967 six day war. No leader has agreed to remove all the settlers. This is not true. Barak wanted to annext the settlements.

Olmert and Barak and got close. Leaving parts won't bring peace, because there would still be occupation and no final agreement, no security arrangement.

their offer was completely reasonable but it was rejected because the palestinians wanted more lands from israel for refugees from arab countries.

Barak was not keeping just a few settlements. I think you are thinking of Olmert. That's what Olmert was going to do. Barak was going to keep some huge settlement blocs, only give a sliver of East Jerusalem and keep the borders. It was not going to work. Yes, the refugees was a sticking point, but you don't mention Barak didn't offer a border and only a sliver of East Jerusalem and plus Jerusalem has expanded into the West Bank. You do know that. Both sides have come close,.

if this was the only problem it could easily been solved.

the problem is that the palestinians demand that 10 million so called refugees (who never really lived there) be allowed into israel (and not the palestinian state). that is something that no israeli government would agree to because that would be an unacceptable security threat. israel would rather give them more lands instead
