You can tell the eclipse was tryin hard and it didn't get anywhere until the end of each race. Plus the truck is about 2 times the weight and twice as cool! But yes I do admire the eclipse.

I have seen PLENTY of GSX cars run, most cant launch on the street, especially stick cars. That truck ran a 10.0 in the 1/4, anyone know what that GSX runs? BTW that truck is 4500lbs and had the aerodynamics of a BARN door. Anyone KNOW if its a GSX?

I probably could have taken it in a mile with a higher top end, but; not sure. Either way, it was an awesome car that the guy took pride in...rightfully so. It's like the Supra's that push close to 1000hp...they sound amazing! In a road race, though, the handling of the Z06 takes it. Sold it but am looking at a '12 ZR-1 this year if all goes well.

Yeah but Parish sold it years back pushing 1000+. He then built a Twin Turbo G8 (500+). And the GSX was later parted out when the motor sucked in water from a bad rainstorm we had. I'm from Omaha btw.

I just don't see how folks don't get along here. Both vehicles are cool in their own right and both are probably a ton of fun to drive. The guy in the pickup was obviously impressed with the Eclipse and I will bet they could have gone for a coffee at the corner store and admired each others rides. REAL car guys understand this. Just like tough guys, there is always someone bigger and badder. I got spanked by a MONSTER 300ZX with my old C5 Z06 and we stopped and shook hands.

@86Turbo200SX - Thanks, Brother. The 300 was, if I recall correctly, about a '91 with Stillin mods. It was close, but, he spanked me. I probably could have taken it in a mile with a higher top end, but; not sure. Either way, it was an awesome car that the guy took pride in...rightfully so. It's like the Supra's that push close to 1000hp...they sound amazing! In a road race, though, the handling of the Z06 takes it. Sold it but am looking at a '12 ZR-1 this year if all goes well.
