  • are they classified as in do they have to conceal their identities. if you enjoy that video this is a mad doco on the SASR australian special air service regiment. classified ranks and sandy berets. search for SASR selection documentary

  • Berets are the real men uncle was a black beret... Looking to meet a beret if it's you respond to sonitardas7 I am sexy white and female from Pittsburgh....

  • I bet Obama hates this. Did he ever serve in the military? Little boy couldn't make it through this. Hell, he got a free ride all the way through college with our tax money

  • @1960bugz Obama couldn't change a fucking car tire. Never completely trust a man who can't change a tire.

  • unsat hippies!

  • Hash Browns!!!

  • I got to say, atleast the hasbrowns guy wanted to keep on going. Shows some heart, some motivation.

  • uhh... hash browns?

  • all you shit talkers. spend about 5 minutes in that pit.

  • HASHBROWNS FTW!

  • SAS :)

    watch?v=FPWyvCPRTrQ

  • @spencera11 After skipping through the first 5 minutes of baloney and talking and not much action, they're just like the US SF.

It's all relative though, 5th group, 7th group, 3rd group, they all do different things, like one is survival and etc. They can't be compared very fairly.

  • @MetalSights -This is US-SF. It is SFAS: Special Forces Assessment and Selection. Bone up on your groups as you are short a couple, and learn the SF mission, as what you have stated is WAY off. Nice effort though, shows you have an interest, just do a little more diggin before making bold comments like that.

  • Hashbrowns. I know its intense but that was funny.

  • some of the guys here are obviously out of shape for SF. is this a real selection or just a show?

i am not trying to be a smart ass. i am only a civilian.

  • @tinmanism It's a Discovery channel documentary. Your right some of them are out of shape, selection is supposed to eliminate those candidates.

  • These are the only Army gentlemen every Marine respects because they work as hard.

  • @77musica the fuck? you never served........marines respect regualr army it is very common for our support combat units to work with USMC , and marines respect armys regular inf

    fuckin civi dumbass

  • @SNaRF66666666 fuck you, I have served with the 5th Marines in Camp Pendleton motherfucker, and most Marines have no respect for regular army assholes.

  • @77musica ya bullshit nig nog in iraq u nikkas couldnt do shit w/o us

  • @77musica o wait i see ur a garrison bitch, 1980 military I LAY OUT GEAR FOR THE CO AND IM A TOTAL BADASSS hello sir we are at war fuckin bitch ass

  • Too all the people bickering about who's best, take someone from the SAS, and take someone from the USSF, put them in a room together, and guess what happens next? They shake hands, start trading stories over a beer, and tell you to fuck off... Its a brotherhood. once you get to that level, you surpass that normal national boundary. They all work together, and they all train together, and often live together in the same Task Force... They dont need OR want some gamer fag defending their honor..

  • hash browns?

  • Ok Australia has bin in a lot of wars, the U.S. has bin in much bloodier wars shapeing what is feard today as the us armed and sf

  • Every single troll, who tries to boast about their country's special forces has no clue about what it takes to become one, let alone what they go through. I dont mean this as a point on which special force group trains harder, but the fact that every U.S , U.K, Aus, Can soldier cross train with each other's respective battalion, thus augmenting each specific force overall.

  • THATS NOT EVEN TRAINING YOU ASSHOLES THATS CALLED THE SELECTION PROCCESS IF YOU WULD READ THE GOD FORSAKEN TITLE

  • fattie

  • cant wait to go. i think the guy who has his face blurred out the entire show was prolly a prospect for delta i dunno but he was also wearing jungle fatigues

  • The Delta Force training is easier than the Australian SASR training.

    Heres the comparison:

    Delta:

Pushups, situps, 2 mile run (3.2 km), 100 m swim, 29 km navigation, carrying 18 kilos, 64 km march at the end. How pathetic!

    SASR:

To even be qualified for selection process:

Pushups, situps, 4 km run, 400 m swim after 2 min treading water.

    On actual selection course:

every day they go on 20 km marchs, in the end, they drop you in the middle of the desert and you have to walk back

  • @daaskapital1 that's not training that's selection.

  • @MrWolfengard yes, but on training, they go by a daily contract. Btw, im only saying what im saying to see if i get any bites so to speak, so im nit being serious

  • @daaskapital1 What are you 12? There is no way anyone knows what the requirements or the training for Delta is, and anyone who has been in "delta" or the military for that matter would know and follow Opsec, something you probably have to google. So fuck off and just show an appreciation to all those who pick up a gun and fight for your dumbass.

  • @daaskapital1 no one knows how to qual for delta its classified , your not even talking about the" 40 miler" a 40 mile course with a unknown run time. American SF has been proven to work all over the world, a few comments on youtube seem like a waste of time, american SF teams have been proven more than a match against any enemy they face . In the end american forces have fought more than australian forces in colombia, somlia, iraq afghanistan panama

  • @Noowbie1 Australian force have been in more wars than America as a matter of fact. The Australian SASR are considered the best in the world at reconnaissance, while US and Britain are regarded as CT. Did you know that when all the allied countries went to Afghanistan, the Aussie SASR was in control of 3 quarters of it. Did you also know that the Americans did not want to go into the areas that the SASR went to due to fears of casualties. The SASR went in and only lost one man. We got the intel

  • @daaskapital1 name 5 conflicts in the last 20 years ? Why are changing the subject to recon ? the US army has L.R.R.P which is also a very elite forces, your trying make a point but your comparing to units with different missions all to together. US army SF has been used to train military units all over the world. By the way australian soldiers have gone to RANGER school in to train for patrols along with british and other NATO countries

  • @Noowbie1 Australia has been involved in every war that America has been involved in. In fact, Australia is the only country that has been to every war with America. I feel that all SF units are excellent in their respective fields. Yes all western forces cross-train, as can be seen with operation Talisman Sabre, where American troops come to Australia to train with us. The SASR were in Afghanistan before the War on terror started, gathering intel. They were also the first forces in Iraq.

  • @daaskapital1

I know for a fact that the SASR was not in control of 3/4 of Afghanistan...And no, Australia has not had more wars. "We got the intel" THEY got the intel..you weren't there. Are you even in the forces at all? Become a digger, do something useful.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 In a book i read regarding the SASR, it is stated thet the SASR were in fact in control of or were the vital/main force overseeing 3/4 of Afghanistan. Australia HAS had more wars than the USA as can be seen with the Boer Wars and plenty others. When i said "We got the intel" i was referring to Australia as a nation. Australia's Special Forces are considered the best at recon. So please forgive me for using the word we other than they.

  • @daaskapital1

Well, if you can prove that Australia has been in more wars, and site the book you are referring to, then MAYBE I'll believe you. I'm not questioning the SASR, they're a fine outfit, but I don't see how a unit THAT small (1 regiment) can be in charge of a land mass of about 200,000 square miles. And yeah, considered the best at recon probably by Australia. Every country has its own recon units, and they are all "the best" Its always the same old story. "Ours is the best"

  • @CaptainAmerica322 How many international wars has the USA had? IDK, about 6, Australia about 8 as far as i can recall. About the book, it was named, "The Amazing SAS" by Ian McPhedran. It is stated in the book that the SASR at one point in time were in control of 3/4 of Afghanistan. I understand that every country has a recon unit, however, it is also stated by Ian Mcphedran that several sources, namely, US and UK generals that the SASR is the best at reconnaissance, being the first guys wanted

  • @daaskapital1

6? There were like, 10 just in the last century... And I'm sure the SASR is very good at recon, but the thing is, USSF isn't a recon unit. It's main role is guerrilla warfare. Also, I just realized we're not even arguing haha... Alright, sure, I'll let you have it. The SASR is considered the best at recon. But I still don't think they could be in control of 200,000 square miles. Operational in maybe, but not in control.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 Haha, personally, i think all Special Forces are excellent, its just that according to severa lUS and UK generals, all with SF experience recommend the Australian SASR as the best at recon, while the USA and UK are more suited to CT and S&R. No, i'm not an SASR wannabe, i'm just interested in the operations they undertake and the history behind the unit.

  • @CaptainAmerica322and chosen internationally as they can go weeks on end without resupply. I remember reading in the book that a top tier general in the US army stated that the US SF guys aren't built for reconnaissance, therefore, leaving them to focus on other aspects such as CT and S&R. That is why the SASR is considered the best of the best at recon. I am not mocking any other Special forces unit, as they all protect and serve their repsective country.

  • @daaskapital1

Also are you like, and SASR wannabe? Or do you just like them?

  • @daaskapital1

US SF is a very generic term. It involves many different aspects of special forces. Some units will be trained for different tasks.

Comparing SASR to the whole of US SF is flawed.

  • @bighands69 Yes, i now understand, recently studying the whole US SOF/SF structure, they do have a whole varying range of Forces. I have retracted my understanding that the SASR is better, as i do believe that every SF unit are awesome in their own terms.

  • hahahaha @ "uh....hash browns"

  • Hash Browns!!! HAHA

  • the blood blisters!! NICE!!!

  • That toe spurted the pressure was so great...amazing.

  • gotta take a pt test first and pass before you will be considered for the course..2 mile under 12-14 min.100 sit up/ push up in 2 min.first phase is physical phase..running long distance, swimming, run obstacle courses, log pt..ruck marches...second phase measures your leadership and teamwork abilities.which still includes all that i mentioned above run, swim etc.....after completing that, you will be handpicked by the instructors....if you decide to go...good luck
