my friends grandma made a living as a seamstress, and everything got destroyed in the fire... thank god for pension plans and the canadian government, i guess :P
none of the tenants had insurance ! and one of the ladys had just died and her kids didnt even get to get her things out of the place, also boardwalk set them up with new leases to different apts in the area and blue cross set up a thing where they can buy blankets and house ware and it would go to all the tenants .. my mom informed me of everything because she was a cleaner there .
i am assuming it's the building right south of brodie manor condos? I used to live in brodie and i am dead sure my brother used to live in that building in the early 90s

I live right behind the apartments. The fire started around 4;30am. And stopped sometime after super.

No one was killed or injured. But the entire building was destroyed. Most tenants didn't have insurance.

Oh! Such unfortunate people. Its very cold and they have to leave because of that fire. I hope they have a wonderful Christmas.
