  • Well I will give you extra credit for the jar tip because you are correct. It was actually a safety thing more that a practical thing. As for the caps, this is on bank of 4 plates. If i had multiple banks, I would put then in series. The high voltage source is an OBIT 10,000 volts @ 23 ma. A four plate bank seems to work well with this type of transformer.   • You should add a LOT more turns on the primary, so that the secondary winding will absorb much more EM force, and resonate with higher voltage and current. That means long, thick streamers.
