Pat Benatar is AWESOME. Always beautiful, always a powerful vocalist, always gracious and feminine. Pressley never really had it. She tried everything...Michael Jackson, Scientology and she just doesn't have it to be famous. Just rich with a famous father and a lot of money.

Surprise! Pat doesn't hit the super high notes anymore. I've been avoiding doing this as a cover tune because I just could not get that high mezzo soprano sound on the chorus. The band rocks on this but the ladies seem "distracted".
Lisa has a contralto voice which can rub some the wrong way because it's not a soprano, alto or mezzo soprano. Women with contralto voices can sound gruff, manly to some and in the opera they'd be given the worst roles like spinster, bitter women, etc. in order to fit the image with the voice.

Jesus Christ! I've loved Pat since about 1982..... She has GOT to have the best damn female rock voice I have ever heard. I realise she's toning it down for Lisa Marie in this by singing the harmonies - but FUCK!!!! What a voice!!!!

what a major fuck up by the drummer cutting the famed big rock ending that song always has.. if u dont believe me look at the serious WTF move Neil did and Pat laughing at seeing Neil getting ready to throw down the final slide to the ending and it cut off that Neil had to improv.. this happens @ 3:02... its like the Drummer slammed on the breaks lmao.. That is not the Crazy Redhead drummer we know and love.

I loved this!!! Pat Benetar rocks, and always has. Lisa really held her own; she had guts to take thr stage with a real rock star like Pat. Lisa has her own sound, but Pat is classically trained and reallylet Lisa shine on tis song!

Surprise! Pat doesn't hit the super high notes anymore. I've been avoiding doing this as a cover tune because I just could not get that high mezzo soprano sound on the chorus. The band rocks on this but the ladies seem "distracted".

Lisa has a contralto voice which can rub some the wrong way because it's not a soprano, alto or mezzo soprano. Women with contralto voices can sound gruff, manly to some and in the opera they'd be given the worst roles like spinster, bitter women, etc. in order to fit the image with the voice.

LMP is real good on this, she rocks, she move well & her voice is special, I like her and can't wait for the 3th album, I still listen to the 1 & 2. The lyrics are profound and so music arrangement are good. If she ever tour again, I will go see her, what ever the price! Ha ha ha I would pay for a private show in my backward, but didn't received any yes, yet! LOL

For sure they don't have the same tone of voice and PAT is PAT the queen of Rock & Roll but Lisa did a great job on this. I like her voice here! I love Pat, yes she is great but I also love LMP type of voice. A matter of taste!

I like Lisa Marie. She doesn't have to do this, she could just sit around living off her daddy's money but she makes cd's and tours. She's not the greatest singer in the world but she tries.. I read in Michael Edwards' book (Priscilla's former lover) that Lisa was a huge Pat Benatar fan as a kid.

Ok...I think both are great talents. Tp say that someone has less talent just because they have a different voice than the most is ludicrous. I think Lisa works with what she has and that's all you can do. Plus,it's not like she's going around pretending to be the best singer out there. She writes and sings because she likes to and not like some singers who are only doing it for the fame and money. Anyway,both women are great. Thanks for posting this!:)
