From what I read, Ocean was before funimation, funimation where told to try to sound like the ocean guys voices as much as they could when they took over after, anyhow its what ever voices you first heard that will determine your favourite dub, I heard ocean first so thats my favourite, so whatever you prefer is personal to you, but whatever your opinion is dragonballz is magical and has a feel good factor, because we all wish we could go super saiyan!!

There budget was cut so the acting got worse and the episodes were put on hold after the Ginyu Force battle on Namek. Also the original Goku voice was replaced sadly. I agree, in these episodes the ocean dubs suck. If you go back and watch the original episodes though (like the first two seasons of DBZ with the ocean dub) it was great.

Ocean dub rocks. The characters sound so much better. In funi dub they all sound ridiculous - Vegeta's voice isn't evil enough, Gohan sounds about four years older than he actually is, Goku and Trunks sound like they're five and Bulma sounds like so much more of a bitch than she actually is. The voices in Ocean are much more real and believable. In my opinion it is the only true English dub

Gohan was going to do both. Before he went in, he wasn't a super saiyan. If goku continued fighting with gohan in the time chamber, gohan could have come out as super saiyan 2. So before going in chamber, he was normal [non super saiyan] then after training, when coming out, he would be super saiyan 2 :D

Why is it that when people compare the Ocean and Funi dubs, they always compare Funi's full-budgeted version to the insanely rushed, insanely unpolished Ocean dubs of AFTER the Frieza saga? Compare the two dubs on the Saiyan/Namek sagas and tell me which one wins out.
