I'm fine. how are you? I gotta say that is the first black man I've see at a teabag party (beside the people heckling them) and he certainly looked like an intelligent fellow. Oh I did see the, always pleasant, Alan Keyes speak. I also said I realize they weren't ALL card carrying members of the Klan but if you think ou don't have their full support your deluded. verstwo2: Inasmuch as Russia and all of Eastern Europe have jettisoned collectivism, and China has moved from a purely collectivist society to one that is almost half capitalist, I hardly see collectivism as an advance. That is, unless you feel that the attendant totalitarianism is a worthy goal.

totalitarianism is not a worthy goal..but that is not the definition of collectivism. Regardless civilization requires some type of collectivism...capitalism is a form of collectivism. Collectivism is a term used to describe any moral, political, or social outlook, that stresses human interdependence. Civilization itself depends on human interdependence..you are defendant on doctors, farmers, engineers, scientists, small business and large corporations, etc, etc.

no, I'm sorry your wrong. Communism is the collective ownership of everything. Collectivism is as I described it. Communism is a form of Collectivism but they are not synonymous.

Any civilization is basically collectivism. You can't have society without some human interaction. Collectivism is basically the idea that though human interaction more can be accomplished then any individual could accomplish by themselves. re;Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the social contract. Collectivism is the basis for all contemporary governments. that should answer your questions. communism, socialism , and collectivism, not the same things. Collectivism is also the very concept of freedom.

Rousseau has nothing to do with our Constitution. Rousseau's writings were the Influence of all enlightenment thinking. Including Adam Smith and Benjamin Franklin, and the other framers of the constitution....do you think they pulled these ideas out of their asses? Or they were revealed by 'god'?

That's actually not what it says or means. No where does that say everyone needs are the same, or that there abilities are the same. No where does it say that you can't get what you want or that hard work isn't valued over laziness.
What means is that all people should have their basic needs met, and all people should be allowed meet their full potential. That there is no reason that a citizen should starve in the street, or that someone should be denied an education, because they are poor.
