@Merryrobin If smoking pot is a social event then you definitely don't smoke that often. There are people who enjoy to smoke alone, I like to a lot but not as a way of forgetting my problems. For example, I'll smoke alone and write some music, paint a picture, or maybe just go on the internet and watch youtube videos. Its pretty fun. And you don't even have to pass it! Now drinking alone, that is actually sad. Unless you're George Thorogood, then its kind of badass.

Its something I tried a few times in high school and never made a lifestyle. It just seemed to bring people together. I only support it now because I have a friend that has Crohn's disease and fibromyalgia. Its one thing he can use on a daily bases without building a tolerance to strong pain killers that do more damage to the liver. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have any interest in the subject.
