  • The golden rule: "above all, love your neighbor as you love yourself." However, if you do not love yourself, you cannot love others, can you? As for the rest of the Bible: Selling your daughter into slavery is sanctioned in Exodus 21:7, you may not have contact with a woman on her period (Lev 15 19-24), one may be put to death for working on the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2), eating shellfish is also an "abomination" (Lev 11:10), it is a sin for men who cut their hair around the temples Lev 19:27.

  • Christianity Sucks. Look at what they did.

  • @kau55 I don't think that any religion in general are bad, is just how people interpret the content! Of course u can blame many misdeeds in our time based on religious nut cases, but u have to understand the knowledge of the time, and the human views, based on the knowledge they had about the world around them, in comparison to how our world has shrink today through globalism! I know bc I'm mahu (gay) and grew up in a conservative Christian country to Christian (protestant) parents.

  • Oni pa`a na mahu o Hawai`i nei! Me ku`u aloha pumehana.

  • Where is the full film available?

  • i really enjoyed watching the whole thing, especially the part when the woman talked about how in the past the kanaka maoli were thought to be so expressive because they weren't afraid to greet each other with kisses and of physical contact and how she pointed out that now, when we greet each other it's no longer on the lips, we turn our faces away from each other. this opened my eyes to so much, especially Sammy's story. and his mother who supports her son. that's beautiful.

  • AU NNTTYYYYYY MAHIIINNNAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally believe the guy when he said local families are more acceptable. Because I know this for a fact, You might not have a mahu in your family but you do of one in your environment.

    People are just so oblivious

Mahalo no kau post ana i keia important issue

  • Is this video available to purchase? I have been able to rent it at the UH Manoa library, but would love to own my own copy to share with others.

  • Work Auntie HINA

    luv the look COCO hahah

    but seriously...

HOMOphobia is not a Hawaiian belief but an introduced White Man's Religious belief.

Its sad to see how locals are especially phobic and we need to educate our people that Hawaiians, differences aside, need to come together with love and support and stand strong to preserve our Hawaiian beliefs...

  • Thank you this is beautiful!
