Im asuming you kaced it (CHDK) in order to get this 7.5 fps speed. are there any mechanical/technical downsides to hacking this camera? I just don't want to mess things up and then regret it...

this is not trick.
If you own this camera,set mode dial to "SCN" and ISO3200.
this is all.
