I saw many of these 1981-86. TV & movies back then had more connection to the simple pleasures of life, as these ads show. Now it's all about the biggest movie stars & other frivolous glamour
Funny how as kids we remember these little pieces of our childhoods. hearing that little tune definately evoked some memories. It took a recent trip with my kids and wife to jar my memory, but all through Banff and Jasper National Parks that tune played in my head.
@ChristmasJ1 It's funny, I tried the same strategy as you, going through the NFB. I do not think it is an NFB production, but a Parks Canada production through another film company. Alain Clavier was a treasure.
I am 41 and thought I would never here this music again. Thank you! I have never forgotten it, and have played it a note at a time on a keyboard from memory... I was beginning to think I dreamed it. I am also amazed to see that it had the same effect on others. We have to find out who composed it!
What an ~epic~ commercial. I love it!!! I too remember this playing when I was a little kid in the 4th grade of 1978,. The music has been in my head as well ever since. I also remember the two hiker's by the ice stream like it was yesterday. I didn't know if I was ever going to see this again. But thank's you, I don't have to imagine it any more. I was searching for just this composition. It's resided in memory for over 30 years and I've wnanted to listen to it again before I died. It's exactly the way I remembered it.
I wish the sound was a little better to pick up the lower tones in the backround but I'm very greatful you posted it.
