@TheRockClassicfan Yes. The pickups in the epiphone sound dead and cold tho. Luckily for 120$ you can get some seymour duncan humbuckers and make the guitar sing. Just so you dont make the mistake my friend made, dont get the sh-4 (AKA Jb) for the bridge since it just kills all of the lows on the guitar. I would recommend a sh-6 in the bridge and a sh-2n jazz in the neck. This combination brought my friends epiphone to life and although the sound is a bit hotter than a les paul it stacks up well

I tried the classic custom.. decent but not on par with the price required.

You can definitely feel the hollowness of the body, but it lacks sustain and I found the workmanship more epiphone-like than anything.

Yep gibson is really pouring out mid-standard instruments that cost like high standard ones.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Supreme. I have has several Gibson Lp's over 40 years and I can say that they tend not to stay in tune, and they have intonation problems. Ironically the only one I had that did NOT have either of these issues was an (dare I say it?) Epiphone Les Paul 2005 model...go figure!
