Maybe its the sound quality from the upload, but jesus the band monitor/eq

was completely absent. the bass wasnt nearly loud enough, and the guitar was SOO top heavy. The violin was properly mixed, as were the drums and keyboards.

Props to ben, but I think ive seen him do much more than this.

vai-ish this? maybe the technique has somethin to do but... the style as composer is something very interesting and unique, and thats the important thing after all. It doesn't sound like Vai at anything to me, it's very different atmosphere and groove.

And, a bunch of exercises? he doesn't even do something really difficult till the end of the piece, cause there was not a need to.

So congratulations, great composer and guitarrist.

Ben Levin is an amazing artist. not a wannabe vai. as a friend of his, I know he was chosen out of thousands by steve vai to have personal lessons with him because of the creativity, dynamics and individuality in his writing and soloing. take my word for it. Ben's no wannabe.
