Id say, include, The Abyss, T2 and then Jurassic park. They are the major ones for cg. Take out the dark knight one with the trailer truck because that wasnt cg related. They actually flipped it.
Matrix is good. You should include Avatar at the end mos def. And Toy Story 1 because its the first all cg movie. If only for a moment.
The Thing is great with effects make up.
AI in great, but not pushing envelopes in the effects department, though i love the film.
NOT to have The Towering Inferno...The Poseidon Adventure...NOT to have the Original Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind..E.T. Superman...and TORA TORA TORA....U concentrated on 2000 on....WELL back in the days..THOSE guys named A.D. Flowers.. L. B. ABBOTT, Fuller..and others created what we see today...
-A very excellent collection. I'm Special FX crazy and I just love them. I'll sometimes go to a terrible movie just for the FX. (The Core, for example.)
-Good music, good editing, I like how it has titles and dates in it. Why not a Perfect 100? Too short and too many missing.
-Still, you could put an hour worth of video up with all of History's special effects and still not have enough.
@Stlcards789 There's a difference between special effects and visual effects. Special effects are made while shooting the movie and visual effects are digitally made post production.
Great effort on your part!! But should have been called, "History of Sci-Fi & Fantasy Movies." You should do a video for EACH decade - and include ALL the big, iconic effects - Invisible Man, The Good Earth, Things To Come, Deluge, The Rains Came, Citizen Kane, Foreign Correspondent, Air Force, Republic Pictures' Serials, Destination Moon, 20,000 Leagues, War of the Worlds, Rains of Ranchipor, Harryhausen's work, The Birds, Tora-Tora-Tora, Forrest Gump, etc. Effects ain't jus' sci-fi!
I'm wondering why you only chose sci-fi or fantasy films. Gone with the Wind for example has over 100 effects shots.

The CG parts of Return of the Jedi that you show aren't from the original 1983 film, they're from the remake.

@PaintnFilm22 A great addition. I'd also like to enhance it even further with A.I., 2012 and Pirates of the Caribbean :)

i-Robot shouldn't be there at all. The visual effects looked horrible and the movie was horrible!

I would like to point out that the scene from The Dark Knight has no SFX except for maybe turning on the wall.

Just for clarity the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi desert scene was from the 1997 Special Edition release. Not the original 1983 release.
