Don't worry about the sound, his hands are not built up yet. With a good teacher, he'll get the bols down right now, then later on his hands will refine.

And it's good that he recites outloud. That's a really good way to drill the bols into your mind. Ideally your hands should move on their own without you thinking, and recitation while playing is a good way for that.

Good job Rajan! And of course whomever provided him with the opportunity. :)

He is so cute. I myself am a tabla student and love to play. Now that I am studying at a UC university it is very difficult for me to practise. I bless Rajan and hope he will become an Ustad as he is being trained at a very young age which helps these beautiful children pick things up faster.
