just incredible how it depicts the whole seen in pictures in a way you wont understand in the first two slides. i was like what is he going to do to the poor man?
People should learn from this, every person has a diffrent perspective on life and can justify his truth in his own perception which is why you should never force your truth onto others and simply live life knowing it is all evolving and will reach perfection in the long run.
Because at the time of this. it wasn't generally black thugs. It was the skins which were hassling more people. Read skinhead nation or something. Might learn a few things.
@Hollie00111 Blimey you are going back to the 1970's. I am talking now!, about Black ghettos, where at night you have to walk in fear. As they say we always mirror America eventualy..
I dont really understand. Dont want to disciminate ANYONE, so skinheads are only people with short hair? nothing like neo-Nazis or racists? please tell me^^
The skinhead movement was originally a subculture of young lower-class men from Britain during the 1960s. It used to be associated with what they called "mods", though you'd be more familiar with a term called "greasers" perhaps.
It was focused around music and style. A few skinheads started getting racist against some Asian folk near the late 1960s, and thus a new generation of skinheads was born. That's when the neo-nazis took over and ruined the decent rep. of the skinheads.
I'm using this ad with my class of 8 and 9 year olds to explain about viewpoints in writing, and also, raising awareness of considering all options before drawing a conclusion. Excellent. I remembered it from years ago - weird...must've made more of an impression on me than I realised!
this add is a mess. here is the reason: the joung man starts running towards the older one long before he even could imagine, that the load would fall down. of course one should know the whole picture. but an newspapers should know wether it is plausible or not.
@mstoll Perhaps he heard a cracking sound or perhaps someone yelled out and the old man was hard of hearing. Perhaps he was a construction worker at that site and knew that pile of bricks was not stable and just happened to notice it started to swing.
In 40 years in advertising, this is the single best ad I've ever seen. I thought so the day it came out and I still do today - in fact I'm using as an example of excellence at a meeting this week...
Fantastic....if you think you know everything, look at this first...then ignore it until a pile of pooh falls on you. Then you will see that there are other points of view.

One of the greatest adverts of all time. The powerful message is transmitted in just 30 seconds, but is remembered forever.
