  • @FlyHighRC386 The head is very basic....the build log for this model is here Check out the build log on RCGroups in the autogyro section. The thread is named 'My Pusher Gyros'..its a bit of a long thread but goes into how I started making my own pushers and how people explained how to design and set them up. Several different models and there builds are shown through out the thread if you have the time!..Rich

  • how do those things fly with fixed negative pitch since thats what makes 3D helis fly upside down so why isnt it oushing it down or am i wrong. great vid and design mate.

    The fixed negative pitch isn't actually negative, the blades are negative in relation to the mast by a few degree's but the mast is tilted back by more degree's so the negative blades in flight are actually positive.

    e.g blades maybe -3* but the mast is leaning back by 8* so giving the blades a relative +5* , I hope that has explained it for you

    Because a gyro works from air being brought from under the disc where a helicopter takes air from above. Think of an auto-rotating helicopter it has a slight negative pitch but the descent speed can be controlled by forward and back cyclic forward speeds up backward slows down. This is the same as an auto gyro except the autogyro is being powered with forward motion so the forward motion forces the blades to keep spinning like a windmill. Hope this helps

  • @safelandings oh ye i know they are unpowered but i think its crazy how they work. Im amazed you dont build a real one there cheap enough only £3000 for a kit and license enrolled into one. lol
