As a man utd fan i was confident we would win this to redeem an otherwise underachieving and frustratin season in the league and europe. Such an entertaining and one sided final. But we couldn't score and i was so gutted we lost on penatlies. But thats football.

This was the last time Arsenal beat Man United as the better team. Before this game, Arsenal were favourite on paper, and it was no surprise they won. In each of their victories against United since, in 06/07 and in 2008, they were underdog, Man United have been better than them since. Shame really.

The disappointing thing was Arsenal actually played for penalties. They came into the game hoping for a 0-0.
Arsenal play great football but United play alot better on their day. The Champions League semi showed the gulf in class between the teams (much as the final showed the gulf in class between us and Barcelona).

I was at this match.
The disappointing thing was Arsenal actually played for penalties. They came into the game hoping for a 0-0.
Arsenal play great football but United play alot better on their day. The Champions League semi showed the gulf in class between the teams (much as the final showed the gulf in class between us and Barcelona).
This win should not be something to brag about. Arsenal beat United fairly and squarely regularly...this was not one of those occasions.

the penalty that rooney won was debatable (though campbell was stupid) but on the same game c.ronaldo was denied a stone wall penalty when ashley cole took him out in the box and we still won 2-0 so hows that cheating u knob and lol we thrashed you at highbury that season with less men you fool and coming from ARSENAL known world wide for diving, playing dirty, getting loads of red cards etc...hardly ever playing english players and having awful discipline and you're sore losers and bad winners.

@dcvbhtrdf had Ferdinand & RvN been rightly sent off in that game, then United would hardly have got out of their own half with only 9 men & so Ronaldo wouldn't have even been near Arsenal's area to win the penalty.
RvN scored the penalty when he shouldn't have even been on the pitch & was later given a 3 match ban for his studs rake on Cole right under the nose of the linesman, who surprise surprise didn't have the bollocks at Old Trafford to stand up and be counted and alert the referee.
