  • Ah,the good old days. When aviation was a wonder of its time. When kids didnt listen to shitty rap music.I miss those days. ;D

  • thanks for this. Nice model.

  • Rigid airships are the coolest. I want a personal airship yacht

  • ah ok thanks, sorry to be off topic.

I was fantasising about making one and putting a wireless camera on it so i could inspect my roof and gutters, but i guess it would have to be extremely voluminous.

  • @intermender is not a problem, try it with a blimp and use a small low budget cam, we did this several time. Problem is when the wind gets stronger, try it on a calm day...

Inside buildings we got pretty great movies, whatch some of our other clips.

  • @wemperor cool, thanks.

  • whats the maximum payload?

  • @intermender There´s no payload, just about 10g of Tara. The Ship was designed to be as small as possible, payload was never intended.

  • it flies with grace.

  • I really love this simplified rigid frame design.

Calculating using octogon frames is quite easy and the joints look like they were copied from a quality kite and seems quite flexible!

Its too late for me to redesign mine because I chose to copy the actual latice design and my ship may not even float!

who knows... maybe I won't even bother to cover that up as well!

  • ur accent is awesome....

  • Nice work...I am also costructing a Zeppelin that is over 7 feet long and It will also fly as soon as the the frame is done...my ship might be too heavy but I may super size it if that happens by adding extra length and gas cells.

  • nice i'm looking forward to the zeppelin!!!

Héhé maybe you can make some and sell them :p

  • Oh ... there is no way I will be selling my Zeppelin, as I find it easyer to build model ships and boat in bottles so my zeppelin is a passion build.

  • hmmm ever thought of making your own rc plane?

your good at builing models so...

  • Oh I have built airplanes long ago but I am a terrible pilot!

I may be a great builder but I still am an amature flyer!

  • well i can give u some tips ;).

Always try to fly the plane around you!

If u get better u can try to fly it towards yourself (reversed controles).

You can build a cheap one like a f-35 like i want to make and crash it like hell and glue it back together or make a new one our of depron it doesn't cost alot so u can practice alot ;)

  • I can fly my RC dragonfies quite well but I actually like it if the model ship had abilites equal to that of RC helis...h I have a coaxil heli and love it but rc blimps are also fun and have a much longer battery life that is really dedicated to thrust and manuvering.... I may use some of the same ultralight dragonfly type engines to power the zeppelin plus possible vector thrusters in the wings.

the airship may go faster than 10 mph!

  • is it a kit, or are you making it from scratch? i want to make a zeppelin/blimp/dirigible.... iz mah dream!

    lol

  • Actually my airship is being built off a plan of the Hindenburg and is scratch built and not a kit. The construction of this is so tempermental in its wieght that I seriously think it may still be yet too heavy but it will look yet a stunning realistic model!

I will attempt to see if the model can be floated but if not ... I will still have quite a prize!

  • It´s mylar, in these very lightweight model, we used the blanket you´ll find in the car emergency kit.

The stringers are made of balsa wood, there are less materials that are as strong and leightweight.

  • Amazing *-*

  • finally s real model zeppelin, not no blimp being called a zeppelin
