  • im getting a 50cc moped this february. up here in michigan its the most rainy part of the year and i have a few questions. should a moped be parked out in the rain or should it be indoors in a shed or under a tarp? and for when it snows, should you remain in the tire tracks made by cars? i know it is slippery due to compressed snow. if you could answer my questions that would be great

  • I must disagree with some of the advice on this vid. Riding in the rain, especially cornering, changes your riding technique. You don't lean as much, esp. when riding over slippery surfaces such as wet painted pedestrian crossing lines. They are very slippery when wet so you're slowing down and keeping a more centered stance. Oil spots that have been rained on are also very slippery requiring more care. Riding techniques DO need to be adapted to changing conditions.

  • @poursuivant1 Totally agree, with adapting to cornering in the rain. Remember keep your head up, look thru the turn. I sure would like to know more about your experiences when there is wind. Here in Toronto, on Bay Street, it gets so windy, sometimes i get swept around alittle. Also i find that if you do slide out to focus on where you want to go, keep the momentum on the throttle, and you can ride thru the skid. this has helped me many times, and saved me from spills and least half a dozen time
