  • so viel zeit vergangen und immernoch so gut!

  • @phonaesthem danke! :)

  • Speaking of so much 'crunchiness' has stirred-up my appetite...

    Mmmm...

  • Wow! The world should never know about the some-thingy that made you crunchy that way - extra dry. Compared you with Evelin Hamann immediately. Keep this secret!

I understand all comments stating those constants and tensors. OMG!

Btw, I understood that, say, natural fresh vegetable might be crispy but never crunchy, right? I'm no native speaker.

  • Great!

...haha, if the Chinese Government hadn't barrered access to YT, their people would shurely have reengineed that hardware now!

  • I have used "stay crunchy!" for years.

Thanks for giving me a reason!

  • you're welcome! ;D

  • oh my, i am SO smitten! faved and 5 *!

'crunch' is one of those words that sounds like its description.....

  • yup, it's like "pudding"

... thanks!! also for the sub :)

  • Dieses Video ist nicht umsonst gefeatured worden!

  • danke :)

  • Interessante Idee! Lass mich wissen, was beim Nachdenken rausgekommen ist!

  • "While Crispiness is difficult to maintain, Crunchiness is difficult to overcome." -Pure Genious!

  • actually, I stole that from wikipedia ;)

  • I know you said, there will be no more Vids in this Series. But maybe with time, you will hit upon a really good topic! This is so well done! The sights, sounds and words are so perfect! One day, yes, one day, there must be more! I'll keep thinking and your other Fans will keep thinking, until we come up with another good idea! : )

  • I would have never thought about it that way. Fantastic work!

  • thanks!

  • Keep up the good work!

  • I'll do my best :)

  • Damn you, now I want some perfectly fried bacon! :)

  • me too!!

  • Want me to send you some, if I find it, then? :)

  • I am in despair!

All my life is devoid of true "crunchiness."

All I have left are the memories of the sweet, blissful, satisfying, crunchiness I found in my youth.

  • Oh, I'm sure you will find something like a perfect piece of fried bacon somewhere... out there...

  • After seeing your fascinating, indeed hypnotic lecture. You in a very sterile, Clinical uniform.. I am inclined to think the last words could have been- "And your programming is now completed" hehehe! You said, "Thank-You for your attention"? -But we have no choice! We must watch! The programming must be complete! ;)

  • but... but... it's supposed to be educating!

    ;P

  • I'm against Crunchiness on moral grounds.

One mans Crunchy is another mans staleness.

I'm an advocate of international stickiness; honey, glucose syrup, dough.

Good vid re effects and reminiscent of the old public service / training videos of late.

    5 crunchy stars for you!

  • *crunch!* I <3 this comment!

  • LOL, danke! Dein Kommentar trifft genau ins Schwarze :)

  • this video is absolutely genius. at first i thought the whole 'analyze the obvious' thing was a series, then i realized it wasn't and it made me sad. make some more!!!

  • thank you!

I'll try to make more, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at coming up with stuff that fits into a series... ;)

  • why the hack is my raven related to your vid, ok it gives me views, but there is not connection or? paper is not crunchy

  • try Esspapier... ;-P

  • What a SEXY lady!!! Love that tie and haircut!!!!

  • Chewing impediments xD

  • yeah...I know... imagine me desperately trying to find a reason to like having soft sticky bread in one's mouth... ;D

  • Supercool gemacht! 5 stars...

  • danke!

    Intelligent AND German.

    This is great.

  • danke - das ist wirklich interessant! :)

  • There seems to be a difference between crunchiness and crispness. The latter seems a quality that is much desired due to the stress relief effect of hearing one's teeth conquer - a response that is predictable considering evolutionary forces, and so on. Crunchiness may have more to do with the simple practicality of knowing the wind has not blown the food out of one's mouth - in other words, tactile feedback. Much appreciated.

  • wow, thanks for this great comment - that sounds pretty plausible! :)

... but I can't help picturing someone with their mouth wide open, the wind blowing pieces of toast away... ;)

  • omg! i wish i could speak german!!!!!!!!!

    it sounds soo cool!

  • haha, I'm glad that at least the single German sentence sounds cool ;D

  • 2:13 toast slice is untoasted.

    Wrong, toast is not untoasted.

Bread can be untoasted, but toast MUST be toasted.

  • hmm, in German the bread you put in the toaster is called "toast bread", so it's bread and toast at the same time ;)

For me, toast is soft bread in square slices which _can_ be toasted... But maybe I think this way because we have so many different sorts of bread in Germany. Thanks for the international perspective :)

  • dictionary.reference. com/browse/toast

  • okay, okay.. I give up ;-P

  • lol...

  • First I wanted to post some really funny youtube comment in which I wanted to describe how arrant you wasted my time (you know, those which are SO funny that you rate them with a thumb up, even if you liked the video) but now I think a simple 'You suck.' is enough. So..yes. You suck. You really do.

  • well, although I suck I really appreciate that you obviously spent some time thinking about what to comment. that deserves a thumb up. ;-P

  • Zufall? oder wieder der wöchentliche 23iger?

    -FDYT-

  • The German YouTube Editors are based out of Google's offices in Ireland, so my vote would go for coincidence.

  • that was weird but i watcxhed the whole thing i liked it

  • that's exactly the right kind of comment for this video :) thanks.

  • ...............=)

  • ...............(=

  • upso...halbe anti-panik-phase eingeleitet...

eins ist doch noch da... so--y

  • had du meine 2 kommentare gelöscht?

    why? :-((

    bin maximum untröstlich now

  • was?? nein!!

  • lecker

  • guten Appetit! :)

  • Ist echt super. Gratuliere dir zum Startseitenpost.

  • danke! :)

  • Auch hier:

    Meinen Herzlichen Beiwunsch!

  • danke, bisher ist kein "Bei" nötig :)

  • bisher :)

  • oh... i think i'm a bit... hungry^^ ;)

  • me too... popcorn would be great. or something with toast. ;)

  • haha... auf 0:58 knuspert jemand ganz leise

FRECHHEIT - MITTEN IN DER VORFÜHRUNG ! ;-)

  • lol

  • OMG! Tatsache... super cool! :D

Eisenwolle, Ja sogar an Dim Yum(?) Nudeln von Edeka

    Wahrscheinlich das dein Super-Sachlichstes Vid

    bisher.

My English is very

    Bad !

  • Leider nicht, sorry :)

  • Schade :-)

  • was soll das sein.?. .?. .?.

  • ROFL!! A feature so soon after Alex?! Hilarious... Hang on for the wild ride and remember your friends from before you were famous.

Didn't you 'never want to be featured'? Shouldn't make such great videos then!!

Big hug. You'll need it. X!

  • "You'll need it."??? LOL... thanks... I guess... ;D

Being featured is okay... but why did they pick such a strange and ENGLISH video?? *le sigh*

  • Yeah, hadn't thought about the English angle for the German site. Odd, but this video is so great I think it's a good decision. Also it stops you doing something like Alex where she now thinks she has to make German videos for her new subscribers!

What, are you saying you don't want hugs from me?! rofl... ;DDD

  • Hui, ist das aufregend :-D

  • find ich auch...

  • Schnell ein Paradoxon: Dies ist kein Trollkommentar.

    Less than three. :)

  • danke ...

  • : )

  • :))

  • Es is echt spannend!

Wann kommen den endlich die Trollkommentare? ;)

  • bisher gurken hier nur alte Bekannte rum... ;)

  • Very strange, very informative, thanks. :) And a new word. Knusprig! Haha.

  • thanks, strange and informative is exactly what it's supposed to be ;)

  • Aren't you supposed to be listening to a lecture in this very minute? I am very disappointed ;-)

  • Zwiebeln sind vielschichsch

  • schtimmt.

  • Sehr schön. Mann wo hast du immer die guten Ideen her? Gute Idee und super umgesetzt, sehr analytisch :)

  • danke!

  • The Dharma Initiative videos flashback! :D

I like my crunchy to be very salty, unless it's a Twix.. or a cookie.. I might need to look into this a bit more..

  • omg, you're right! I never thought about it, but this definitely was (subconsciously?) inspired by the Dharma videos! No white rabbit No 8 though... ;)

    I prefer salty crunchy, too!

  • this is like the best television program from the book 1984. yup. awesome.

  • hmm, you should try watching it on one of these huge screens they have in the book...

    thanks :)

  • I'm right there with you. Crunchy is good, as long as it's not just dry and hard. Yay!!

    Onions. Hmmmmmmmm.

  • absolutely. onions are SO yummy, raw and fried.

    Cataglyphis schauen bildet weiter. ;-)

  • Yay, I'm educational!

  • Crunch was also some kind of music in the 90's when new styles were founded for every new band ^^

Besides: After the first 30 seconds I was wondering when you will start to strip. xD

  • Ts-ts, Patrick... didn't you pay attention at stripping school? No sexy secretary glasses - no stripping. I DID have a hair bun however...

  • OMG! If I could favourite comments I would do it now. LOL!

  • Well, well... I thought this could be something new, something never seen, something breaking all rules... but seems like I overestimated you! :P

  • That was definitely one of the most through explorations of the connotation of crunchiness I have ever seen...

However you have failed to mention Twix® - "the only candy with the cookie crunch." (see Seinfeld season 9 "The Dealership")

Those things are just about the perfect combo of crunchy and chewy ;)

  • I'm pretty sure it was also the ONLY exploration of the connotation of crunchiness you've ever seen...

And you're right! Some candy bars manage to have the exact right amount of crunchiness.

Btw: In some European countries Twix was called Raider until 1991. It's pretty common here to talk about the "old times" as "When Twix was still called Raider". ;)

  • AWESOME!!

I was trying to explain the difference between crispy and crunchy to a couple Japanese friends the other day, so I'll show them this!

  • LOL - actually I stole that great definition of crunchiness vs. crispiness from Wikipedia ;)

    But thanks anyway!

And konnichiwa Jamie's Japanese friends! :)

  • Awesome! I love the 'lightness' of the subject against the seriousness or dryness of the presentation. Very funny to watch :p

    5/5 fav.

  • Thanks!

... I'd prefer the presentation to be crunchy rather than dry though... ;)

  • I guess there's also 'good crunchy' like peanuts and 'bad crunchy' like cockroaches.

Hmmm - If there is 'good crunchy' does that mean it's possible to have 'evil crunchy'?

  • *Argh* Michael! Now you've got me thinking about it all over again...

  • Love it! Just reading the title had me laughing!

This is the perfect Glyphiness (somewhere between too Glyphie and not Glyphie enough). I love that you've done it as a parody, but it's clear you've actually put waaaayyyy too much thought into the subject!

    Favourited.

  • LOL! that is probably the most "true" comment so far! I was surprised myself how much thought one can put into it...

The whole video probably scrapes the borders of both "too Glyphie" and "not Glyphie enough" at the same time ;)

  • ... knusprig

  • genau. :)

  • uhmmm.... Du bist wohl nicht ganz knusprig.

;-) Yeah... disturbing. But sooo true ;-)

  • *sigh* you're right... but did I EVER claim to be knusprig? ;)

  • 5 stars

  • thanks!

  • I wish I had some crunchy popcorn now (also to throw it at my imaginary classmates. First? You nerds!!)! ;-P

Watching this video reminds me so much of these educative movies in elementary school. The sound, how you chose the image section, the costume, the presentation style and these "subtitles"... just a 100% perfect educative movie feeling. And it also matched the bossy attitude.. we all agree on WHAT?? Nonono, I don't agree! I prefer my toast, like Nr.1.. chewing impediments... pfft! :D

  • Btw. my favorite scene is at 2:10, where you point at the toast slices but keep staring at the camera. Just wonderful!! :D

  • that's also my favourite part :)

  • I know you would have been the REAL firster but are way to cool to actually DO the "first" :-P

  • *throws popcorn at you* And I don't talk to girls!!! :P

Ok, time to grow up, sorry, but thanks for that enjoyable time travel back to elementary. You rock! :)

  • There's a little Joachim Bublath inside of me, trying to break free...

    FWU ftw!!

  • Hm, there has to be a "I <3 FWU" T-Shirt! :D *googles*

Joachim Bublath,hmm... the good looking version! ;)

  • Category: Education :D

The video is sorta disturbing, I can clearly picture it being shown in a horror context ^^

  • hehe, I kinda have to agree *g*

  • Du bist wohl nicht ganz knusprig. =p I'm totally going to use this saying haha!

Yes, this is a very interesting video. It's strange all the things we never think about but when we finally realize them it's like HMMMM. Yah, I hope you understand what I mean!

    + ***** !

  • thanks!

Yeah, I totally understand what you mean! It feel great to be able to express this feeling in words :)

  • *feels

  • Hm, I think I like crunchiness. What have you done with your voice btw?

My normal voice was way to girlie for this kind of video so I turned down the pitch...
