My grandpa reminds me soooo much of Joe Liebgott. He has been compared to him at his office too. He's Jewish, he's a veteran of Normandy, and he was half-German. My grandpa's name actually means "Mountain of Roses" and Liebgott's name means "Love God"

Liebgott was my favorite guy in the series. I wish he could have had more speaking parts, actually I wish the whole series would have been longer. Oh my he just drips sexy. Come to think of it, Joe Liebgott was one of the few men in Easy company that was in it during every part of the war.

Started with all the original men in Toccoa Camp, was in D-Day and all the operations in France, took part in Market Garden Operation in Holland, survived the brutal shelling in Bastogne, took part in the attack on Foy and 2 more towns in Belgium, helped defending Haganeu or whatever it's called, and got to Hitler's Eagle's Nest.

And all that with just 1 flash wound.
