  • So why would you sing off on a job like that remember you have the last word before you put your hand cock on the contract ..

  • Dish has to have a clear view of the Southwestern or Southeastern sky. I ha Directv and Directv can only go Southwestern at least that's what I was told. The guys came out from dish and saw that it wouldn't work Southwestern so he installed it on my garage roof where it points in the Southeastern direction with a different dish so it's working just fine. I get all my channels in my package just fine. Looks like the installer just wanted to get paid for the job.

  • thats dish network for ya, no quality.

  • wait for a little over a year and you will see what the goddam is gonna happen to your roof because of that dish and the wind . id rather get that think in a pole .

  • From What I Can See the directv Dish is now Mounted over a Living area Which Now Makes it a leaking hazard.

I too Install for dish. ;) and yes the 8 foot pole was a Dumb, Lazy ass Mistake, but the directv mount was a even bigger one.

  • it doesnt matter how tall the pole is what matters is how its anchored into the ground and how solid it is

  • Did you check the air in your tires? Maybe that's the problem

  • doesn't matter how long the pole is....it has to be anchored correctly so that it won't move like that. simple as that. instead of crying about it on youtube, you should've been calling them back to correct the problem.

  • Customer probably was like "Oh I don't want it on my house it looks so bad up there put it in the yard on a pole blahblahblahblah" and this is what happens.. dumbshits

  • The dish should've been installed on the roof in the first place........ end of story

  • Why mount it so high in the first place, the satellite is 22,500 miles above you, the extra 7 feet or so won't get you any better signal.

  • That is a nice tree.

  • customers think they know it all...why didnt u have the install already done when he got there?..a pole mount works fine but that one is crap..the reason it was shaking is because it was so high up and probably didnt have concrete in the ground

  • when you make sure everything is level put some cement so it stays and doesnt move

  • 1.) I doubt that was by an actual Dish Network Tech

2.) If optimal signal can be achieved on the ground, I'm not getting on the roof, unless you specifically request it put up on the roof.

    3.) Non-living areas only

4.)Assuming LOS is not an issue, I'm installing your dish as close as I can to your junction box with al the central-wiring for your house.

5.) That dish model and that pole with no struts was a no-no to begin with. Would fail a QAS before the QAS Tech put the truck in park.

  • your wrong and so is the tech,He should have put it on the roof not where derit tv put it.because it is going to cause some exspensive damage over some years.but he snd so should have the derict tech put it over the ease that way if it starts to leak it is not over a living area and it would cause little damage if it where to leek.if techs would just take more time and have more pride in there work, they make more money cuase they would have less charge backs.and it would not give us a bad name

  • for tech it is much easier to install dish on the roof than dig a hole for the pole and spend extra hour or two. Probably customer did not want to make holes in the roof and requested dish to be installed on the pole.

  • i hope you didnt bother the directv guy with your stupid dish network story or any other thoughts in your head because installers aren't theropists

  • I like how direct mounted the dish so high up on the roof....eventually, no matter how much silicone (hope he didn't use it), bishops tape or tar he used, its going to leak. can't tell for sure by the video, but if it is mounted over a "living space" then the person that installed it is going to have to pay to fix the damage when it occurs. I would fail a QC if I put it that high on a roof.

  • My dish network dish is on my roof!!!!!

  • Yeah...this seems completely unnecessary. As far as I can see, the satellite would've had a clear sight from the roof. Dumb install

  • Uverse ftw

  • Pour some salt on that wound, Direct TV!! - As Joplin victims call Direct TV to cancel their service due to homes completely wip...ed off the map, they are being told to send in a box or remote control or pay a fine of $500+ to cancel service. DirectTV should be boycotted. Tell their employees to go to these former HOMES and find their remote controls... RE-POST TO GET THIS TO GO VIRAL !!!!!!This is INEXCUSABLE

  • @bsshbk Exactly, you shouldn't blame the technician if they are only doing what they are told...

  • @estrangdspydr I agree

  • properly? Looks like direct installed it over living area dumbass

  • Why did you sign the paper work?

or did your wife sign cause you were at work?

Maybe your wife was flirting with the Dish Tech and was not paying attention.

If i were you i would call dish and tell them to put it on your roof and point it at that tree.. just put a bucket up in your attic to catch the water when it rains. Or just pay the extra 40$ and go back to cable.

  • @franklinspank ooooooh my mistake i meant to say from the right hand side not left

  • If that leaks, it will be over living space. Homeowners insurance will not cover it.

  • Comment removed

  • typical dish notwork garbage........

  • Suck a dick fat

  • You obviously don't know how a Satellite Dish works. Pipe doesn't interfere

  • Why not just put it on a 4 foot pole? It aint' gonna wiggle.

  • Haha properly on the roof? looks like it attached to the chimney! hahaha fucking moron, good luck when it gets ripped off of there.

  • i work for dish network and the thec who did that probly dosent have a job any more an bye the way at all cost u dont want the dish over ur living area ur asking for problems have fun when ur roof starts leaking tisk tisk tisk =[ so bye the way ur dish network is install more proper then ur D-TV so u might want too check out ur roof for leaks thats the last place u want it over a living space

  • Most satelite installers are hacks

  • Im a DNS tech and i install 8 foot poles for wild blue internet. Mine never wobble like that. Oh and screw comcast and there locked cable boxes. i think i make them mad cuz i cut them open :)

  • get some support struts you pansey ass whiner!

  • wow this guy is a dumb ass

  • I have my dish on a 4x4 post which is cemented into the ground. Never had problems with the signal. You shouldn't mount them to your roff b/c they attract lightening.

  • Dish is still the best.. the tech installed the dish on the pole so that you wouldn't lose the signal that you have. its better that way than for you calling for some signal loss like attention 015 or error 002.

  • I work for Comcast and see shit like this all the time. they do horrible work on a consistent basis. Always go cable.

  • FYI... the dish on your roof has been installed improperly. If the dish is installed on your roof, it cannot be installed in a (live-in) area. In other words, it shouldnt be installed in the middle of your roof. Since it is in installed in the middle of your roof, whatever you have under the dish in your house will eventually get wet from rain due to the holes from the lag bolts. Dish did the correct thing by installing the dish on a pole. Hope you have insurace. Dumb mistake on your part.

  • dish network sucks haha

  • It doesnt matter what height pole you have dumbass, ive installed on a pole that was 15ft and got a signal strength over 100 on both sats. it also looks like they (directtv) mounted that dish right over livable space and you'll probably have a leak very soon. It was mounted on a pole to get a signal over the tree u stupid fuck

  • @gbwright76 wow your retarded. If the pole is wobbly, why would a pole be better? -.-

I have seen many dishes mounted on the wall of the house and on roofs before and rarely on poles, and never long poles. Maybe the pole in the video was done poorly though.

  • Yeah, I hope you enjoy your leaky roof!

  • the roof should be your last option!!!

  • why do i think this guy made the pole loose so he can make dishnetwork look bad as any installer should know the pole should be steady or u wont be getting a proper signal wasnt anyone there when he was doin this...come on

  • As a Dish Network Field Service Specialist 4, who has been doing this for an extended period of time let me start off by saying, I'm sure you aren't giving us all of the facts. Pole mounts generally are more time consuming and non-worth while. A majority of the time, its a damn near last resort. Also, DirectTV doesn't use ALL the same satellites that we do, which gives them a separate pointing location. While I'm not saying the install was done right, I think you're misleading everyone.

  • good dishnetwork will install on anything us directv techs know better but some cust jus wont listen and want it done that trust me when i say dude i have seen alot worst

  • this is what happens when the tech doesn't get paid what he should by the company he works for. and now they are not having the customer pay for the poles. so this guy get pay a $100 for this install. say it takes him 3 hours. you are thinking good money right? wrong!!! it cost him 25 for the pole he installed 10-30 in gas to get to your house 30- 40 in material. then you have his insurance, truck payment, the insurance for his truck, his tools to do the job.

  • when the techs used to charge the customers for the installs as a customer you had the right to be upset now that you are getting your dish installed for free stop whining. i don't install for dtv i install thru my company. i only install dtv in mansions or business where i charge what i want. all you tech still working for hsp or anyone besides yourself are stupid.

  • you Directv dish is still installed incorrectly. it should never be above you living space, always above the eave or overhang of the roof so that it doesnt leak

  • gat a life

  • yep

  • Very simple fix mate GUY rope at 3 points prob solved....

  • your problem is your line of sight not the pole...The pole does not knock out your signal, the trees are moving in and out of your line of sight....Moving the pole will also cause you to lose signal...You should have told them where you wanted the dish??

  • @johnnylarue1 your a dumbass dude. the dish can only move .2 degrees. any more then that he looses signal. 1 deg of movement = 390 mile cause the satellite is 22300 mile away

  • yeah ok...I've only been installing them for 20+ years professionally...(fuck your retarded?)

  • Roof mount rule number one; don't mount over the living space. Looks like you got shafted twice buddy.

  • you can do it on a 8ft pole...alot of people have. its got to be firmly planted in the ground at least 3ft and packed or cemeted. thicker wall pipe would stop the flex....this op is a know it all tard

  • hows the leaks from those lag bolts threw your shingles. thats a long climb to brush snow off your dish.

  • a 4x4 post cemented into the ground would of worked no problem, I am a installer, or perhaps a thicker wall pole like 2in steel black pipe.

  • looks like you have a huge fucking tree you dumb ass!!! thats why it is not on the roof! thats why it is on a pole!! was no one home when he installed it... i bet there was someone home. he didn't sneak around behind your back and put a pole in the ground. you let him!!! some one always wants to bitch!!

  • ya it looks like the tree is in the way ,should have let the tech put it on the roof then u wouldnt have stupid problems llll

  • @szagata your right man!they have to be around the installer, its their house, he installed it the easy way to get in get out, they get payed by jobs, so i would understand..lol

  • @szagata You must have been the installer. You guys get paid so little that all jobs are a blow-n-go and there is no pride in your work.

  • @szagata your an idiot the tree is not in the way the signal doesent come straight into the dish fron the fron it comes in at an angle from the left side of the dish when standing behind it...

  • @84faststang

    Your wrong. 12+ years experience

  • @84faststang It depends where you live. Don't speak when you have no idea wtf you're talking about.

  • @szagata I like your comment, but he has a clear LOS from the roof, the tech was probably just too lazy to get up on the damn roof and do his job correctly...

  • it takes about 1 hour to install it on the roof ... what a farkin lazy installer, we call that a mickey mouse install - must have any satellite experience - in australia you would get the sack straight away, start with you would prob only need a 1 m pole as you are not much closer to the satellite - 36km in the sky - 1m pole or 8m pole makes no diff

  • Comment removed

  • directv Is the shit, I have had them since 2003 and the only complaint is the loss of signal during a bad thunderstorm....Great customer service too...

  • Although DTV installed over Living space if it leaks your fucked, sorry.

    FUCK DISH NETWORK EITHER WAY

  • I work for Dish network in one of the 3 Arizona offices. Management will tell you to do ridiculous jobs like this for better "job completions rates." and threaten your job position.

Sure we hit 14 million customers, but how many really want to stay?!

From Regional managers, General managers, Installation managers, to field service managers treat techs no better than replaceable trash here in AZ

With weak dual tuner rip off receivers it only relocates PIP to another tv whoopty fucking dooo.

  • either stop bitching or do it yourself

be funny if your roof leaks because of dtv

  • Looks like the directTV installers were too scared to get on the roof, they put it as far in as they could without actually climbing on.

  • The Problem is your Fucking House is in the way of the sattellite

  • they put mine in a whole like that ...1 problem...it hit the sewage line and now if your standing 5 feet away you would rather have your nose shoved in someones ass

  • nice mounting the dish so high up the roof instead of at the gutter. Genious!!! LOS was at gutter.

  • HAha

  • The idiot is the guy who installed the pole that wobbles all over....only one way to do a pole mount correctly, dig deep and let the concrete set for 24 hours, make sure the pole is plum.

  • Dude Ive worked for both dish and direct, how and the fuck do you know whats right and wrong when you prob sit in a factory putting one screw in a motor all fucking day. Go fuck your self, you are the dumb fuck who let them do it!!!! Ask ? next time dumb ass.

  • Amen to that. And besides, I work for Dish right NOW, and I can 90% garantee that was a retailer technician and not a DNS tech. You know, I spoke with a customer once who claimed to be an engineer. He had no clue what a VIDEO CABLE WAS! Ya, I will not have him engineer anything for me, EVER, and 9/10 of all customers do not think for them selves.

  • You guys are not as smart as you think you are.

  • Shouldn't be mounted over a living space huh???? Obviously an HSP tech.... Morons. You put them were you need to put them. YOU are supposed to be capable of correctly sealing your foot.

  • wait why didnt they mount it on the roof?

  • atleast theirs a service loop :@

  • LOL. I had the same exact thought. I know if I'm QCing this job, I'm laughing my ass off.

  • i think its funny as hell that this video is just of some average clueless, careless customer but, it has turned out to be an all out war of dish versus direct on the comment board?

  • haha, camera guy thinks he knows wtf he is talking about.

I'd worry a lot more about that D* dish then E*'s.

  • BTW to the person that made this video, You said the Directv dish was installed properly? Um no it aint. It is mounted over a living space so if your roof ever leaks due to the dish or not you will blame the tech that installed that dish.

  • You can, it has to be cemented into the ground, and anchored. some people dont want holes in there roof.

  • this dish should not be there be cause of what we call line of sight its pointing right at the tree u can lose signal like that especially if it high def

  • ur right.... yet ur also wrong, both dish and direct use the poles smart guy, and the pole is made for the dish but its supposed to be on a tripod so its stable. and why would you allow the installer to just put that in the ground.... dont see what he's doin?

  • your also wrong, only time we put poles on a tripod are for apt's / condos etc... it has to be leveled surface.

Im a in-house tech for dish, and we sink poles in the ground all the time compared to tripods. Cementing in the ground is more sturdy then 3 cinder blocks on a pod. we use to use 8ft poles but i bend the bottom to a v shape and use 60 pound bag of quick drying cement on every pole mount. In the video looks like 2 poles were bolted together with bolts and nuts which is a big no no!!

  • Let this be a warning, don't be a dumbass. This is your own fault for letting the installer do this, especially if you signed the paper work after completion.

Or if you were'nt home blame your wife or who ever was home for the install.

Roof's are always the last option. Pole / Fescia / Brick then roof, or if it's a flat roof then a non-pen w/ 6 cinder blocks.

To the dumb shit who stated all dish installers are retards, I don't think so. You sir are a pos.

  • ever heard of something called DIY ??

  • DISH installers are total retards........they ever hear of something called wind?

Most DISH installers are high school dropouts who got fired from Burger King........this is FACT, not opinion.

  • Well, Your wrong. I have a 3 years of college and 6 years with the USAF Mobile Operations. From there I took a desk job with a major aerospace company and hated punching time clocks. One day I was helping a friend install a satelite dish for Dish Network and loved it. Now I am an independant Dish Network contractor and making $100-$200 per job and with 3-4 jobs per day, Thats more money than I was ever making with my last job. And guess what? No Time Clock!. Go screw yourself Hunkola

  • I also work for Directv. They can do a pole mount, but it shouldn't be more than 5 feet. And a pole mount should only be done if there's no other option. But since you previously had Directv, and apparently had success getting signal I don't know why your technician insisted on the pole mount. Good luck with all of that, though.(If you can get cable, seriously just go with it. Dish & Directv aren't worth the hassle.)

  • wrong directv want the house to be the last option and you must be a shitty tech cause i stand by my work and when its done the way dtv tell you to do it work VERY GOOD

  • i work for direct tv...you can mount a dish on a pole....its done all the time...BUT...its not suposed to move like that.....did the tech from dish network use concrete for the pole...i bet they were to lazy...it probly wasnt done right...poles are used when you cant get line of site from the house....direct tv and dish net use different satilites...so were as the direct tv guy got signal from the house the dish guy might not have...but the set up was still done wrong if it moves like that

  • damn that sucks man .. see thats why i look installing my own hardwear..

  • im a dish net installer and id like to thank directv for running all the cables for us prior to us installing yah thats how many swap outs we do thanks again directv.iowa

  • HELL yea!!! I did 4 installs today and i also want to thank Direct TV for running all the wiring for me!! The way i see it, yall are making my paychecks!! HAHAHA!!

  • ive taken out just as many dish network settups as you took down ours.....but i bet you dont shit on our dishes b4 you throw them away like we do...LOLOL..

  • it could have been a directv guy to put that up shitty like that dish net also. quality is in the person not the company ive seen it all.yes and directv has awsome hd but there stuck in the past with old technology, dish on the other hand movin up

  • LMAO thats some funny shit, Dishnet work guys are the cable guys of sat, theyer fuckin hacks, always have been always will be. I am a installer for Directtv an have been for 6 years, Our kaku3 or 5 dishes WHICH this guy has, weighs about 60 lbs fully mounted, i do 5 - 6 HD installs aday 6 Days a week an not once have i ever doubted pointing them on a roof or a pole, try carrying our Kaku up a 12/12 pitch on a 4 story, not thats fkin heavy, dish network is a worthless feather weight.

  • Look I put it out there like this Dish's Corporate Techs are going to give you the best install of all pay tv providers period. Direct and cable techs can talk all the crap about us they want . but what they are not tellin you is that yes we could mount to your roof if you wanted but thats requires use to bolt our required fall protection by Dish in YOUR ROOF thats 6 Lag bolts in your roof. would you really want that potential for damage.

  • Btw Dishnet work is about to file bankrupt, give it 6 months an Direct will own the 110 - 119 sats an dishnet work will be out.

  • I gotta ask, why does your company even let you walk up 12/12 roofs? Working directly for DirecTV it is practically forbidden. Also You should never be mounting a dish in the middle of a roof, should be mounted were it can be serviced in any weather safely. We seal our dishes to the roof with Styrene tape (thick tar tape) that covers the foot of the dish and monopoles. Basically if your ladder cannot get to it, it is not serviceable in bad weather or in good weather safely.

  • agree totally now make yakkier understand that he works for Direct!

  • UMMM....satelites are suposed to go on the roof first and formost...your a retard....and ROOF DAMAGE...LOLOL...how if your using bishope tape and sillicon like your suposed to

  • Umm.... No They are not Nor should a pole be a top option either. The Fascia is allways my first option.I do mount to Roof's But never over a living space. And I use Pitch patch(roofing tar ) not silicon who ever told you to use silicon on a roof needs to be fired!

  • I see alot of LOS (line of sight) from the eves of that roof not over living space. If the roof is metal then an under eve mount should have been used on that nice flat wood siding. The only question that I have is, Why did you agree to have it monted that way and why did you sign the last paper agreeing that the install was satisfactory? I mean a pole that long should have been a dead give away that something was not right before he got half way done. At least the service loop looks nice LOL

  • Dude Dish is not going to mount to a roof over a living space due to damage claims and what happens when shit goes wrong with your direct tv it will take you two weeks to get the techand since its on the roof and if its bad weather hes gonna tell you sorry he aint getting on ladders in bad weather.

  • Comment removed

  • are you kidding me? that dude did you a favor...........where ther is poles theres gotta be stripers

  • no need for a bucket, just bend the end of the pole. so it doesnt spin.

  • The guy that did my house did a shoddy job as well. He kept mumbling about how much he hated his job. I looked out the window and saw him throw his tools and equipment in my driveway. It was summer, about 95% humidity here. He reminded me of the guy from the movie Falling Down. I should have sent him away at that point. He misjudged the placement of the dish on the first try. So now I have a satellite dish and next to it a big ugly bracket from the one he fucked up.

  • tech usually make a horrible installation

    1st , then cust´s call dtv 2 complain

then dtv place a new work order and the tech close another activity 4 something that should have been done on the 1st

thats why i xcel w orders while tech still on site fuck techs

fuck cust´s who allow tech´s 2 screw up their homes

  • you fool, this was not done by one of us DNS employees, That was a folish contractor obiously. And you we're foolish in the first place to allow such placement in the first place.!!

    DUMB ASS!

  • SUCKER! I bet that was a sub contractor and he charged you about $180 to do that and he knew it wouldnt work!

  • If he had NLOS he should have never done the install in the first place. The Tech had to get permission from the customer to do the pole mount. I am a Tech and I work for DirecTV, and the dish that was installed by DTV was not properly installed either, not by DTV Standards at least.

  • well that dishnetwork dish must have been installed by a contractor, or a real poor dns tech, i am a dns tech and would not mount a dish on a poll like that. that was just a crap install!!!!!

  • Is the Dish on the roof over a living space, eaves or fascia? If it is over a living space, thats a big no no. You don't want holes penetrated on your roof.

  • Ok, DNS TECHS are the worst.. There all brand new. Im always fixing there work.. I'll get 7 trouble calls a day from DNS techs that were done 2 to 3 days before.. And while im doing the service call, the DNS Techs are doing a new install.. Just shows you that Dish Network is messed up.. We do the job right the first time. If we don't, Dish has no problem letting a contractor go. But there own DNS Techs don't even know what there doing. Its funny

  • Comment removed

  • I have Directv (Best Thing I Ever Got), that dishnetwork dish was installed on a pole to recieve the signal, because it looks like that tree was in the way, but it should have been on the roof.

  • i dont put the 18 odu no more than 16 feet off of the ground if it needs to go higher than the cust doesnt need it at all. cancel the intstall

  • ha nice pole mount. so many stupid ass installers

  • you guys also have to consider it the other way, there is a possibility that the dish wouldn' receive all the satellite from that roof because of obstacles. it look similar to dtv slimline which pick up 5 satellite. you can't mount it just anywhere.

that is a dtv 18 inches dish sitting on that roof. small dishes works almost in any location.

  • most of the installers are hacks but im sure there are a few out there that take a little pride. That dish is on a pole because the hack who installed it was probobly fat and too lazy to set a ladder up

  • Shit im not...and i still wouldn't go up that high to install a dish. And a super dish at that, it weighs like 45 pounds. Dumbass, your just too stupid to install a dish.

  • im not a dish installer i just know that this installer was probobly a fat lazy hack like most of them. You might not be fat, but if wouldnt go up that high to install a dish then that means you are a lazy tub of shit. Why dont you just have them put there TV outside so ya dont have to run any cable either. See ya later hack

  • we isntallers hate to put poles, so shut up!

  • Unbelievable. And the lady from Dish Networks couldn't believe I wanted to do my own installation.

  • There is alot more to the installation of a satellite dish than you may think. Contrary to popular belief, they are fine tuned and the people that install them do have to have a certian level of intelect and if the install is done properly, a certain level of intuition to hide lines properly and make everyting "neat"

  • I have more credentials to install satellite dishes than most of the contractors out there. Because my truck doesn't sat DISH on it and I couldn't disclose who I do it for, they assumed I didn't know how. Bad assumption. By the way, I have a super buddy, a Holland signal level meter, all the wall fishing gear anyone could EVER want. So when you say it's more complicated than I may think, I DOUBT IT. But I get what you are saying.

  • Well, I thought you meant you were just a average "I Want Dish" Person wanting to install it themselves... My mistake... so you contract or DNS tech? I am a DNS Tech in Carrollton GA

  • My Mistake, I thought you were just a "I want a DISH" Customer that didn't have a clue.... so you a contractor or DNS tech? I am a DNS tech in Carrollton Ga

  • yep im a dns tech also that was totally a subs job we have strict regulations i would get fired if i left your house like this....

  • Im a dish network Tech and this shit had to be done by a contract.

i would never left a pole that wobbles like that.and yeah where the hell were you anyway pal.and lets set the record straight Dish Network Pawn's Direct TV n00b!!

  • Dish Network Pwning DTV? Wrong! Its the other way around. Dish Network sucks IMO. I went through 4 crappy receivers in six months. Plus when it came to satellite signal strength my Dish Network system couldn't catch a cold. I finally switch to DTV. I'm getting 200+ chans and HD access, better picture quality, and way more features for 18 dollars/mo less that I was paying for the measly 150 package offered by Dish Network. Now who pwns who? ....Thought so.

  • well since dish no longer sells a 150 channels pak. the clasic 200 with silver hd and your locals would be about 60 a month for two years enjoy that price hike from direct after your first year or six months is up cuz its coming.

  • See the thing about that is, it's just like the way things have always been, you get what you pay for. you want shitty picture then by allmeans go for dish or cable, if you want a great picture at a decent price then thats why we're here, Also vette it's actually 10lags in the roof, instead of 6, 6 in the foot an 4 in the monopoles, if you came to one of my jobs or any of the guys in our crew, not once would you ever see a leak. But if you wanna get all techy, attics are ment to be damp.

  • So what your saying to everybody is that you dont care if you damage a roof on a customers home your attempting to justify mounting on a roof and I want to know why? there is not any gain by being on the roof unless you count not being able to service during bad weather .and to be all techy our fall protection requires 6 holes plus the 6 we would put in the mast footplate thats 12 holes that no Dish tech is going do that if another option is open.

  • wOW DUDE you must be a moron, because you signed the paper before the installer left, oh let me guess your wife was there and you was not home? LOL!!!!

  • I would think the 90 foot tree is a larger issue here.

  • actually its not Dishnetworks fault, they dock teck pay for fckups as long as they find out and have a customer minded dispatcher(hmmmmm). if you go to direct you'll be even more disappointed.

  • VERY VERY TRUE

  • hi ..

jou can set 3 steal cables on it at 120 gread spread with upstars a ring for the mechanical spanners with pin into the ground to set 3 forces so the disch can not move anymore ;)

  • ha ha ha these were prob sub contractors!!! well all i can say is where were u when they were doing this?? i have done lots of pole mounts myself . im a dish tech this seems like you just didnt care what they did!

  • They Are the pros dude. You hire them so you dont have to worry about it.

  • sub contractors if they care about their jobs do better jobs than in house techs because if they dont do the job they dont get paid, as as far as your comment you obviously are a pisspour tech as well.

  • Some of you people are clueless. This video has nothing to do with Directv. Its dish network. For one you can install a dish on a 8 ft pole if done correctly. This one was a piss poor job.

  • thats a damn good try

  • iknow you can use a pole of this size for DTV, not sure about dish network. The poles are this size so we can put a good few inches int the ground so you do not lost signal...

  • the problem is dtv hires usually a 3rd company to do installs. A Example is in my area they use Mastec, and they do not train their employees correctly. I should know i hired in and after a few days i was thrown to the wolves.....

  • You KNOW whats wrong with the intallation so why didnt you do anything at the time?

I think you just enjoy having an excuse to complain...after the event - i think its just as much your fault as it is theirs.

they probably did a fast job and got the hell away from you coz youre creepy and weird.

  • Well i think you need to learn to be more assertive and voice your concerns WHILE THEY ARE THERE installing the dish ...its all very well making a video and bitching about it afterwards....i really dont understand people like you . I would of said something to them.

  • I had the Direct TV install from hell! I liked the service once it was installed but, wow!

Okay, this gal came out to install in two rooms. She kept miscalculating where she had to drill the hole to feed the cables through! After 4 holes, she got the cables in. Then, she had to put two more holes through inside walls, which ended up being 6 holes. She did nothing to repair or plug the holes either!

In the end, her husband who was an installer for Dish, came to her rescue & finished the job!OYE!

  • OMG ! I would've just called direct tv and demand a refund cuz the people are drilling holes so they can spy on us :S

  • If you fuckers are done complaining can i continue mounting this fucking dish?
