I agree with fBOli that Holyfield would have a tough time beating anybody on that list of fighters, but he has the wrong attitude. I look at things with the glass half full, instead of half empty. @fBOli why should he retire, age shouldnt matter in these decisions, recent history should matter, his last fight was against a heavyweight champ (valuev) , he went 12 rounds with him, he looked good, and most people think he should have won, there was nothing wrong with him in that fight so theres no reason to retire, IMO he's still the 4th best heavyweight in the world behind the klitschko's and haye

Because he's about 12 years past his best, hasn't looked really good since before the first Lennox Lewis fight and has nothing left to do in boxing: his legacy was secured after he beat Tyson the 1st time. This is a nearly 48 year old man we're talking about. He's won a meagre four fights since Toney battered him to shits, and should have lost the fight to Fres Oquendo. And he didn't look good against Valuev, he merely looked better than a dreadful fighter.

No one really lauded his performance against Valuev: it was a similarly rotten fight, the only difference being that he stunned the giant at the end to secure the fight in people's memories. Haye, however, is renowned as an exciting fighter, as he showed against Ruiz, and in his fights against EnzoMac and Mormeck in recent years. EVANDER'S LOOKED SHIT FOR YEARS.
