@MrSammyReed Vivian would be destroyed, and her typical antics wouldn't bother Jean a bit. Jean could spot her a few balls and it still wouldn't be close against Vivian.
Jean is right to be upset with the poor racking. Anytime the 9 just shoots out like that, it's because of a bad rack - usually, the result of a gap between the 9 and a ball behind it. Even when it doesn't go in, it's constantly shooting out with a lot of movement in this match.
@victimofcheese Of course it did, but that's the point. Watch the slow motion and you'll see the 9 starts moving *immediately*. In a properly racked set of balls, the 9 doesn't move at all. In a game where the 9 can win on the break (a bad rule IMO), a bad rack where the 9 shoots out like that makes it much more likely to go in directly or get kissed in like in the video. That's what she is complaining about (and Mizerak in the commentary, and all other good players who understand racking).
Near the end of part 2, after they show the slow motion, Miz said "Doesn't look like it's the rack". Then before that part ends, he said "Well, she thinks the referee's not racking the ball properly". This part starts with the other part of that.
I just wanted to point out, not wanting to get into a fight here about what happened (I'm out of this), that Miz didn't say it was the rack.
@MrSammyReed Exactly, obviously this guy's hearing is about as good as his eyesight. Miz was reporting what Jean was crying about, not what he saw. Seriously, some people.
@MrSammyReed you're right - I didn't hear the previous part of Mizerak's comment before hitting Post. Clearly even The Miz doesn't understand the 9-ball rack (some pros still don't).
For those who would rather learn something about racking that will improve their game rather than waste time with useless flaming, check out Joe Tucker's "Racking Secrets" DVDs. It's the definitive reference for understanding racks and has revolutionized modern breaking.
@rob3c hahaha yeah "all the other good players who understand racking", yeah dipshit, go fuck yourself. Obviously you think you 'understand racking' because you have done it a lot in your life. Listen: the 9 does not 'shoot in' at all. It gets kicked in by another ball. You're an absolute scrub if you don't realize the difference between a nine getting hit in by another ball and a 9 shooting straight out for a pocket. Jean has admitted HERSELF since then she was whining for no reason, so stfu
@rob3c oh and for the record, there is not a big enough rolleyes or LMAO in the world enough to cover your statement: "In a properly racked set of balls, the 9 doesn't move at all." hahahaha you've got to be joking. Go back to APA or whatever it is you think you play.
Now I'd LOVE to see Jean Balukas vs. Vivian Villarreal. I'd be interesting to hear both of those volcanos go off at the same time!

And again, this is why I wish we could edit our comments here. That's "It'd be interesting..."

@rob3c except the 9 didn't shoot right in the corner, it got hit in by another ball. Go back to the 2nd video at 6:20 and watch it yourself.
