yes it would kill it somewhat, but keep in mind that the austin healey and the corvette had humble origins. Lamborghini started out by building tractors! Some of the most beatiful and interesting cars had humble underpinnings, like the kaiser darrin for example. Still I don't think thats really been true of maseratti or alfa.
