  • Gecko: I see Your every move

    cricket: oh shit..

Gecko: CHOMP! nom nom nom.. Burp!

  • Its like he is James Bond and the crickets are the bad guys Geckos act like spies alot and it very entertaining :)

  • My leopard gecko wags his tail before he eats crickets. Im guessing he is very excited to eat them. hahaha

  • lol u should of put the jurrasic park music lol

  • such a pretty fucking leo

  • your supposed to put a rock in the middle of the wter bowl

  • Beautiful coloring on him. And I like papertowels too my geckos love it and prefer it to repti carpet

  • LOL @ 1:00 that cricket flew into a wall, into the dish and onto the sand rofl.

  • take him off sand mate i use Ceramic Tiles look natural and safe for your Leo

  • nice leo

  • Reptile Carpet For The Win

  • thats probably natural sand

  • I had my gecko for about a week, we keep himon dirt not sand. we try picking him up once a day to help him adapt to it. He is still a baby and eats only one cricket a day, is this normal??

  • Ninja cricket at :57

  • @GorkyGecko

is it okay for leos to only eat mealworms? because mine only eat mealworms isnt that unhealthy?

  • @MrSummerisHOT a variety of crickets and mealworms (powdered with calcium + vitamin D) is best. mealworms alone doesnt get them all the nutrients they need

  • This is the best! hahahha

  • do you take out all the hides to feed and how often does your gecko feed

  • Carpet is the way to go! :) Even i could sleep on the stuff!

  • the head turn at 0.41 is perfect!!!

  • @PickyfromTerminology hahahhahahaha i didnt notice that the fisrt time

  • good action lizard

  • my juvenile gecko hates eating many small crickets it just eats about 2 large crickets

  • when the gecko strikes for food, it will take sand in its mouth with it, and therefore ingest it, this ends up blocking the geckos digestive tract and causing impaction, not being able to pass the sand ends up with the leo losing its life, also leos will eat the sand if they don't think that they are getting enough calcium or vitamins in their diet, inthe wild they will eat the substrate if they need extra stores in their body, this is why you should have a cap of calcium in the viv at all times

  • shouldent use sand

  • hey dont use sand wen they r baby leopard geckos because it can get impacted

  • i have sand as a substrate! whats wrong with it?

  • @guitardude499 depends on what type of sand you get and where. If you go to pet stores they have special sand made specifically for desert reptiles. These special types of sand specifically for desert reptilians are safe and not harmful in anyway for that sand has vitamins and protein in it that your gecko will occasionally nibble on and eat when its hungry and it cannot find neither crickets or mealworms in his habitat.

  • @CaptainTGblu@guitardude499 .but other than that if your leopard gecko is above 3 months old and he is bigger than your hand its fine to use special sand. and of course sheets of paper towel is also a safe bedding for leopard geckos.

  • wat substrate shud i use tho cus like ppl say not to but im thinking of putting like really really fine desert sand is this ok???

  • I would recommend using paper kitchen towel as they can swallow sand and become impacted. Shortly after making this video I switched to kitchen towel and thats what he's lived on ever since.

  • @GorkyGecko you can use calcium sand as this has been proven to be suitable to be digested by leopard geckos all pet shops use them and if it killed them they wouldnt have any to sell and they do :)

  • @GorkyGecko you can use calcium sand as this has been proven to be suitable to be digested by leopard geckos all pet shops use them and if it killed them they wouldnt have any to sell and they do :

o but you carnt use normal sand or play sand :(

  • @tint210 like he said.. use paper towels(cut up if you can)

benefitsd on your end too... its very cheap... always around... and so easy to clean lol

  • @tint210 i wuld keep him on paper towel or reptile carpet, but if you want sand, then use really fine grain pool filter sand, the finest grain that you can find.

  • @tint210 use the reptile carpet

  • @tint210 Calcium sand is ok, but I would also recommend paper towel for many reasons: It is easier to clean up. It's cheaper than buying sand. Also it's safer for the gecko because if they swallow too much sand, they may become impacted, and we don't want that. I use paper towel for all of my Leopard Gecko's and they love it!

  • @tint210

just use a fine gravel >4mm over the top of the sand.

I just know this not because I have a gecko but because I know they can handle desert shale and gravel.

  • To maby crickets :s

  • is that clay subatrate or coconut husk?

  • @laynecaffy Looks like sand, big no no.

  • :O oh noes!

  • I need name ideas for a leopard gecko! I want something unique! I was thinking of Oreo to be a name.

  • lol cute!

  • dont use sand

  • I dont, when I bought him the place said to use sand, and they kept all the ones there on sand, but shortly after I made this I decided to change it to paper towel which he's been on ever since, and he's very comfortable on it =P.

He doesn't eat crickets now anymore, he prefers mealworms lol.

  • ... He prefers happymeal... He's one rich mofo :D

  • @GorkyGecko mine wont eat cricket or superworms im going to try mealworms and it was funny my gecko got smacked in the eye when i tried to hand feed him a cricket i was like dum cricket why did u do that
