  • perskeles että on hienoa...Super Lungs.

  • this is the kinda song you want to listen to before saying goodbye to the earth.

  • Terry Reid turned down both Led Zep (before Plant accepted) and also Deep Purple (before Ian Gillan accepted)...........amazing...........

  • Terry Reid might not be widely known but those of us lucky enough to have been exposed to his music absolutely love the man. Saw him for the first time in Dublin last year. The small crowd had so much love for him it was touching. A woman nearby cried. Terry mostly laughed in that mischievous way of his. Check out Brave Awakening.

  • i love this song...i need a download link.

  • Pravo u dušu...

  • This guy is fantastic. I only recently heard about him after reading a singer called Terry Reid was Page's first choice for Zeppelin. Man, he should be KNOWN, Seed of Memory is one incredible song and he was easily Plant's or Marriott's match as a singer. No wonder Jimmy wanted him.

  • motherfuck yes! best song ever! :)

  • man , it was something to grow up in the 60's 70's ...... that is when i should've been roaming ... you know i'm out of my league when it comes to today .... it is crazy how it has changed as much as it has . fortunately i was born somewhat in the right era where i did not have to worry about what kid are worried about today ... you know ... so i'll blend in and disappear into the chaos of it all ...peace to all dead heads and hippies

  • This man should be in the R&R HOF though it probably won't happen. At the very least the Grammy's or the Brit awards need to honour him with a lifetime achievement award for his great music and session work.Terry should not go to his grave without being recognize for his amazing contribution to music.

  • 19 people have A lot of explaining to do

  • VERY GOOD

  • VERY GOOD .!

  • Graham Nash did a stellar job with the harmonies on this song.... some notes, bring tears to my eyes.. I've said it before and I will say it again, most of the mainstream music today is shit compared to masterpieces like this

  • @IFYOUSEEKAMY623 Totally agree with you. Stumbled on this whilst looking up some stuff about Robert Plant. Didn't realise that Terry Reid was Jimmy Page's first choice for Led Zep. I wish you well.

  • if you all like this and to be treated right get the album.

  • makes me grow wings like an american eagle

  • hes amazing and doesnt get enough credit

  • God knows If American radio played this they wouldn't have been able to play a Michael Jackson song 6 times a day, like a McDonalds hamburger ,,,,,brainwash the masses

  • I've just watched this 5 times in a row

  • this is a bad ass song to listen to when your high

  • I want this to be sold on itunes. This deserve to be properly credited.

  • seeds of memory, even the title of the song is amazing.

  • A million years ago I used to go on and on about Terry Reid. Really good to see so many dicovering him all this time later.

  • With the energy of all I have to offer, let me fight off the demons and overcome the future evil of myself and my foes.

  • heard this song watching the devils rejects.. don't think i've ever heard it anywhere else.. great tune.. listen to it every now and then.. along with to be treated rite.. instant classics.. legendary.. T.B.N.F.

  • i always think this was one of the most patriotic songs i've heard which isnt really rated in front of how beautiful a ROCK song this is & how great Terry Reid's voice is!! but i'll really love to dedicate this to soldiers posted out on borders of my country! you are why we sleep safely & hope this song conveys enough of your thoughts out!

  • who came first, CSNY or Terry Reid....it really doesn't matter, but wow, do i hear CSNY here....beautiful .beautiful, song

  • love this song I'll die loving this song thanks to rob zombie for opening my eyes

  • @nikkiiihoeeee I agree ever since I saw the sequel to House of 1000 corpses I could not stop listening to the songs from the soundtrack. I mean Allman Brothers, Terry Reid, SKYNYRD!? Great soundtrack.

  • ttttt

  • The only song that makes me cry

Are Cat's in the Cradle Johnny Cash's version.

Reminds me of my dad and I.

And Heart. Magic Man, That's my song to any girl out there.

  • Aint even Rob Zombie who introduced me to this song.

I can sing like Eddy Vedder of Pear Jam.

But I play and sing this song way better, Terry Reid is great,

Rob Zombie is phenomenal, and I am superior !! Hahahaaaaaaaaaa

  • GREAT SONG MAN

  • "awesome" is so overly used and abused, but this track is truly awesome.

Imagine having Terry Reid teaming up vocals with Robert Plant. How awesome would Zepplin be then?

  • @bmoy16 OMFG who would have thought of that your a freaking geinus.

  • @bmoy16

i totally agree with this opinion....his voice reminds me of robert plant..

  • This song still brings tears to my eyes..it's strange the first time I heard of this song or Terry Reid was "Devil's Rejects"..

  • This song is spooky for some reason.

    Can't explain why though

  • @charger807 it haunts you! I know. bizarre hauntings are not always a bad thing. Tiny Firefly confesses it.

  • This song tells the story of humanity and the struggle to survive in a world that hates and tells how change will come to us all so that we remember our fallen heroes and never forget their sacrifices

  • Great song, thanks to rob Z for turning the world onto it thru the corpses movies, but why did terry reid put geddy lee on his album cover??? BTW, he was jimmy page's 1st choice as the zeppelin singer but when terry was unavailable, he had to get some black country bumpkin, dont quite remember his name.... robert something or other....

  • put simply: Terry motherfuckin Reid

  • found this in the credits of devils rejects fuckin awesome man

  • its a amazing song

  • the most beautiful song ever. you have already Staid Immortal for this Country. OMG the end of the devils reject's

  • This song gives me a feeling of euphoria and hope.

  • I almost feel ashamed for the fact that i had to watch rob's movie to get to know this

  • @thmszx yep these days theres a sea of shit to swim through to find the good music!!!!

  • great song. seventies were great!!

  • This is my favorite song , have listened to it atleast once a day for a year already. Terry Reid is amazing

  • love it!!!something about it...

  • song from the devil's rejects ending.......

  • what A CONTRAST from the blood soaked Devils Rejects Movie ... shamed to say never heard this song before , but it has to be one of the Best songs I've ever heard .

Shows how American Radio Sucks .

  • @franz909 only way to get it is to buy the entire mp3 album. just checked. can't buy the mp3 single by itself.

  • by far one of the coolest songs ive heard myself thanaks to rob he has a wild taste for music with where he comes from awesome shit

  • I've never liked a song so quickly in my life. Again, thanks to Rob for showing us Terry Reid, I'm so glad I found him. I feel weird and get butterflies when I listen to it. He's got so much soul it hurts.

  • There comes Plant's style?

  • I put free bird on my playlist and saw this song as a suggestion from the movie Devils Rejects, wow it is so deep, it digs into my soul, love it!

  • seriously, I heard this at the end of Devils Rejects. I am glad that I found this song. Thanks for uploading.

  • im mainly into hip hop but i love this song/ devils rejects soundtrack. great motorcycle music!

  • Why the silence at the beginning? The song doesn't start til 10 seconds in.

  • If only music could still be like this. Far and few between chip the iceberg these days to this

  • Cant believe how many people, like me,came to know this song through Rob Zombie.Who would of thought? Kick ass song !!!!

  • I concur, this is a beautiful song. Too bad no one today makes music sound like this anymore. Reminds me of the Fall season with the smell of a woodfire in the night sky.

  • this song is awesom!!!! this and free bird lynard skynard

  • 4:02 - 4:39

That's how a real singer does it.

  • The best part of Rob Zombie's movies are the music and when the movie comes to an end! Love this song.

  • Classic.

  • avampireconfesses . com

  • this song deserves more views

  • PEACE to you Terry Reid.....!!!

  • Terry Reid you are truly a great singer and storyteller, this song is soooo goooood:)

  • can someone summarize the meaning of the lyrics for a german to understand it and be seriuous about it??

  • yeah, its crazy to think he was almost the voice of led zepplin. He would have been great but im glad they ultimately went with plant

  • Been hearing classic music form all styles all my life. Because I've

thought and felt the negativity and blandness and simplicity and

lack of feeling of todays music. Try Q104.3 from NYC... btw I'm 22 also..

  • I mean it's nice that more people are getting into classic rock..

It's just that it's through a damn movie, not looked for or engraved

by parents or something. Try tuning on to classic rock stations

and you'll hear songs like these all the time. Rob Zombie isn't a wiz

that discovered these songs people.. I guess that the good thing from

that, is the higher possibility of music not dying

  • Although, this may be a 'threat to my masculinity' to say, this song moves me to tears...

  • My favorite song from the devils reject movie, amazing music, i never thought I come to like classic rock but this is just to beautiful of a song. And im black yall and in my 20s, who would have thought right. And Rob Zombie very creative and one hell of an imagination :)

  • I don't know what it is but i can't get enough of this song. I listen to it non-stop.

  • this song is amazing .

also in the best film ever devils rejects andcomes on after free bird best two songs ever written

  • His voice is Terryfyingly awesome. It's so good it's Reidiculous.

  • I stumbled onto this Album in College int the '80s I just thought it was cool and put it on my radio program.

Now i know I was right but would have had him on the show.

  • this guy was so underrated ....every song of him is a masterpiece check out brave awakening thanks to rob z....!!

  • i understand that Terry Reid is Terry Reid, but why does this awesome voice as well as the picture seem female?

  • I followed ths music in college in the 1980's

I never thought about the real thoughts

  • this song is incredible

  • A timeless recording. Produced by, and with backing voc from, Graham Nash, along with a brilliant lap-steel contribution from David Lindley. Funky folk with a bossa-nova bridge. Dig it deep.

  • I played this song at my wedding last year for the groom and mother dance.

  • He shows so much emotions in his songs!!!!

  • Awesome tune! I had no idea this was as old as it is. Ill be checking out more of his stuff.

  • Could've been Deep Purple's singer after Simper/Evans left and Zeppelin's singer !!! What a thought, if he'd been the singer of BOTH at some time. Hmmm... Great voice!!!!!!!

  • terry is different..........

  • 18 motherfuckers pushed the wrong button

  • fucking bad ass song..with so much pain and bull shit in the world today, songs like this remind me that there were times when people had something to say..and that music will never be as good as back then.. just a great song ..

  • @nyXhc666 Say what You will,I love Terry reid and Katy perry. ;P

  • @nyXhc666 I honestly....... Have to FULLY agree with you.

  • @nyXhc666 you are so damn right

  • @nyXhc666 there will be a day you'll see, music cant be shit forever

  • awesome music, takes me to another place when i hear it,or maybe im just fucked up,lol

  • if it werent for rob zombies devils rejects i wouldnt know of terry reid

  • he could be led zeppelins lead singer, but he turned page down

  • terry reid was one of the first choices to front led zepplin, but he had contractural obligations ,but he sound's a little like robert plant, very soulfull in a neil young kind of way, brilliant.

  • Let every man be aware of being free. don't let them change the country,

  • seriously...i didnt think i was going to get so addicted to this song or Terry Reid. Love him and Rob Z for putting this song on Devil's Rejects.

  • @babiigrl88 Agree completely... the devils had some awesome music added

  • @babiigrl88 Makes you almost wish they didn't go out in a blaze of glory to freebird, but if there's a way to go that'd be it...this song was a perfect choice for the end credits...the memory of them as they got gunned down..

  • @babiigrl88 I know!!... He is a genius for including this song and Terry is a GENIUS as well!!

  • @babiigrl88 amen

  • @babiigrl88 I agree! This song fucked me up for months. I even wrote to and thanked Rob for introducing me to something new...

Tonight I am listening to Deep Purple, and Terry's name comes up again.

Apparently he was tapped to be the lead singer of Led Zeppelin (before Robert, whom Terry referenced and suggested) and Deep Purple...

I totally love Rob's vision as the camera sweeps over the West Texas skyline, playing this song in silhouette...

  • Been Listening to Terry reid since i was 8 years old, I was blown away when i saw The Devil's Rejects and heard one of my favorite singers, thanks Rob Kudos from this Dude.

  • i love this song, like i mean love it...like if i could marry a cd track i wud wed this one

  • the best! respect

  • give a seed to remember you

  • Such an amazing piece of music. My dad used to listen to this all the time and I always loved it growing up. Sadly, I forgot about it years later until recently at the end of guess what!...Devil's Rejects, I rediscovered this song. Glad I found it ^^

  • i know terry reid by rob zombie.... thanks father-in-law!!!

  • Impressive. Thanks for putting up these posts Edward.

  • I discovered Terry Reid when watching the Devil's Reject, it's a great movie for whom wants to broaden his musical culture !

  • @NeverendingMaze

yep thats the same shit that brought me to his music....those ending credits was hot

  • @demonkai76 definetely

  • this voice sounds familiar i think that they use this song in the movie twilight

  • @twilightrules5859 Robert Pattinson sounds a bit like him, doesn't he? They have a bit of the same singing/playing style. A bit but I don't think it was in the movie. I'll look it up and get back at ya. .

  • srry i just prefer muse thas all

  • Thats crazy as soon as I got finished watching Devils Reject the first thing I did was download Terry, and he has a couple of good songs R.Z. definitely put Terry on the map to a whole new generation.

  • this guy totally changed my direction in music taste. love this man! extremely humble and insightful. never too old to rock

  • heard terry play this live at bb kings in nyc few months ago...he was awsome ...next time he comes to your hood make sure you go see him he puts on a good show and tells some pretty funny stories

  • Search Groupies Pt.3 & Go to 5:15 to watch Terry playing Bang Bang (You shot me down)

  • wow robert pattinson likes this singer i prefer muse

  • @twilightrules5859 That's because you are a fool

  • why does this asshole, edward 5572, somehow think he can skank onto this perfect song and make money?

  • Truly brilliant! "The winds of change that rearrange this country"! Pure!

  • I don't know who put this up for everyone but I get stoked every time........keeps me on a good level.

  • Really cool voice

  • Hope his 61st birthday (today) is a blast. There's a Facebook page with mostly up-to-date gig listings, keep an eye on it folks. He's pretty amazing live, don't miss.

  • Terry's music is truly timeless - I have no doubt it will be played no matter what the latest flavor of the popular music is... because it has the power to reach deep.

I heard his voice 1st some 16 years ago - Superlungs My Supergirl on the Psychedelic Dream compilation - and remember being stunned, nearly paralyzed by the scorching intensity of the vocals, it was almost painful to listen to. This is much tamer, but the whole Seed of Memory album is sheer brilliance.

  • Saw Terry at Nottingham Uni; up amongst the all time three best gigs I've been to; even he couldn't believe the reaction from the crowd; came wandering off stage with his guitars not knowing where he was going, after security had turned on the house lights...thanks Terry for some great music and memories...

  • But i have to say, now im kinda curious about the Rob Zombie movie, maybe im gonna watch it.

  • im proud to say, that i know this song without watching a rob zombie movie.

infact, i dont even like horror movies :D

But amazing Song, my favorite right now.

  • Thanks Rob, without the movie and you, i would newer would hvae heard this fantastic song, amazing!

  • thanks to rob zombie, i would never have known about this amazing musician :) just such an amazing voice for me to get lost in ♥

  • I have read that Terry Reid was originally asked to be in Led Zeppelin and suggested Robert Plant instead......too much talent for one era.

  • Man knew what was up.

  • marlena in the cool satin sashes

  • I love his voice and the melody is sweet...very nice

  • don't have to hope we like it bro, anyone with any real taste in music loves this, fuck the rest....terry reid is a legend, this song as a whole proves it, but the vocals from 4:17 to about 4:37 made me love this song til the day die, people like terry reid never die

  • @rdmbf42 agreed brotha. im of mixed background but cant help to appreciate amazing music, regardless of age and era. And i would most definitely like to exit this world with this playing in the background.
