  • When you say Vette is yours, do you mean she's a pet or just that she stays in your area?

  • oh boy, triple trouble

  • omg when the other deer walked over i thought it was like a mountain lion lol.

  • how did she become a pet deer

or trust you i know its possible but still

  • HEre come`s the Lion... LOOOOOOL...

  • soo cute ! but what is the gooey stuff at 0:40 ?

  • they are so cute!

  • wow,,soo cute and adorable =)

  • Wow, I didn't know deer had more than one live birth at a time...very informational - thank you!

PS - do you guys sell baby deer as pets :) They are SUPER cute!!!

  • @imacceptingbut Deer do not make good pets. They can be domesticated as livestock, but they're not the kind of animal that does well taking the place of the family dog.

  • @AtarahDerek You are wrong, I have a pet deer and he is the sweetest ever! Go look up small pets on Animal world.com. You'll see what I mean. Go to the 'Small Mammal' tab, and scroll down 'till you see deer then click and read the WHOLE description!...

  • @AtarahDerek why not, dears would be a much better pet than a dog. I also prefer social non meat eating animals. I don't have any pets though but they would make much better pets.

  • im a hunter but strangely i love deer more than any other animal, its kind of an intimate relationship with hunter and prey....this melted my heart away:) i hope they grew up happy

  • nom nom nom....placenta...nom nom nom

  • Awwwwwww, they are so beautiful! And adorable!

  • awwww

  • This is so beautiful… hop they will survive

  • Abububububu want!

  • there so tiny and cute

  • The babies are so adorable ^^

  • Mom: Great I have three babies to take care of

    *baby deer run off*

Mom: Hey! Get over here you brats!

  • i did not know they eat their afterbirth

  • Except for the placenta eating part, super cute.

  • i know she has to eat that stuff so other wild animals dont find out that there are new babys deer to eat ... but still thats nasty. nut very cool.

  • @Daftly27 yuck i know right

  • Babmbi, Rhono, and Faline :)

  • And bambi was born!

  • I was out riding my horse and saw a mom deer with 2 new born still wet babies :)

  • Eating afterbirth equals rancid breath.

  • Does the mom sit on one of the babies heads at 0:00 lol?

  • For how long youngs are bling?

    How quickly they walk?

    How quickly they run?

  • Venison is great. People should consume more deer, leads to less obesity

and lowers blood pressure and chlorestrol.

We consume too much meat because we never see the cut little creature that

gives up life to populate our frying pans and roasters.

Some need to be put on a reality diet.

    Northern Ontario Bush-boy.

  • omg, she nearly crushed them lol

  • they are so cute

  • Oh my! That is so beautiful!

  • Beautiful video... we have deer who visit our front yard. They nibble the clover in the grass and eat a few plants. We use no pesticides. I watch them from a distance. Habituation and imprinting would lessen their chances for survival in the wild.

  • is it true that white tail allways have twins?

  • No it isn't. It is most common for them to have twins but they also have singles, triplets, quads and rarely, five at a time. Multiples are more likely to occur when using artificial insemination, just as in humans (Jon and Kate Plus 8) :-)

  • is triplets rare?

  • Not with deer, actually. Twins and triplets are commonplace.

  • Oh, thanks. I was just wondering because I own horses. It is extremley rare for them to have twins, let alone having both twins to live!

  • aw they are so cute

the one trying to get up but keep tumbling over

    thanks for sharing

  • awesome video...what is the mother seem to be chewing on...it looked like slimy fluids from giving birth that she was eating...is that true? if so, is there some sort of nutritional value to it?

  • Yes, Vette is eating the afterbirth. In the wild this is done so no trace is left behind for predators to find but it is, indeed, also packed with protien and other nutritious things that are beneficial to her.

  • that's awesome...i just graduated with a bachelors in environmental science, but I'm going to grad school to get my masters in wildlife and fisheries science to focus more on the whitetail deer...i'm looking to be a deer biologist for a deer hunting ranch...or on a statewide level if I get my phd...i just got an internship doing deer research in texas and will be moving there on monday, i can't wait to get hands on experience with the deer there, keep up the good work

  • @starryeyedcowgrl Absolutely disgusting and repulsive!

  • @starryeyedcowgrl

The placenta also boosts her prolactin levels which helps he produce milk and helps her maternal behavior levels as well, if she doesn't she might reject the fawns.

  • this is a rare occasion. 3 babies. its not often you see a mother with 3 newborn fawns. good job catching it on tape. did she know you were there watching her. if so she didn't look like she was paying any attention to anything but the babies which is normal.

  • Well this is a video of one of our does and they are often pregnant with triplets, sometimes quads and we have even heard of mother with five fawns! She did know that we were taping her but she's really friendly and didn't mind. The babies are grown now and are all very tame and healthy :-)

  • very cool. so she is domestic. and what are they boys girls mix of both? they are really cute.

  • two doe fawns and one buck fawn and thank you :-)

  • yayy lets eat it!!

    haha that is soo cool.

    i want a deer.

    haha

  • YAY, future hunting stock!!! I surely would enjoy being born to be hunted!!!

  • Actually not a single deer in this video will ever be hunted because their genetics are superior enough to be sold as breeding stock.

  • Why are you breeding animals only to be killed for sports and trophy?. There is nothing more despicable the people who destroy innocent life for self gratification. You can live yourself doing this?

  • Please learn how to read. "Not a single deer in this video will ever be hunted because their genetics are superior enough to be sold as breeding stock." Do you harass people who raise fish and chickens and cows to be eaten? I'm sure you're 100% vegan, right?

  • You are born to burn in eternal hell which will happen to you!

  • oh please. Spare me the sermon, pastor.

  • nice

  • Yum afterbirth! Great video there :)
