Cursive are simply amazing, and its wrong to say ''i prefer early cursive'' because evoluting their music is what cursive is all about! One of the reason they are amazing is the fact they always change their sound.
I think we'd all like to say that yes Cursive is incredible.
Saying that someone prefers early Cursive makes sense all the same. Theres usually a big difference from early music by bands vs the music that they release after some exposure, media attention, record sales etc.
Its just a matter of opinion, whether you like their old material or their new material better.
I do appreciate those who dont fight over opinions though! Kudos to Stefano but as for some people...
Tim Kasher has grown up. If you really understood his music, and good music in general, you would understand that someone with musical talent as incredible as his will change his style as he himself changes.
Well, to me it sounded like you were being a pretentious hipster. I am huge Cursive fan and have been since "Such Blinding Stars..." I can appreciate Tim Kasher as much as the next guy. But do I prefer earlier Cursive? That's a resounding YES

As a good friend of mine pointed out recently, I remember the good ol' days when Tim Kasher was sad and not just bored. I miss songs like this.
