  • Germans - Stopped starting wars, and started making a selling beast firearms.

  • "Possible M16 replacement?"

I sure hope so, because M4/M16s jam every time they get a little sand in their vagina.

  • DAM GERMANS

  • Wow! Very reliable!

  • Whats the price of this gun in a civilian model?

  • Today, my airsoft 416 was delivered!

  • what show is this clip from??

  • MADE IN GERMANY !!!

  • Dear Santa....

  • still like the m16 better, this gun doesnt compare

  • @wingsoverglades You're an idiot.

  • @BitchyBenevolence Explain, this gun fits a completely different role, so it does not compare

  • Made in Germany

  • Es la mejor arma de asalto

  • I discovered this weapon in Battlefield Bad Company 2, I instantly fell in love with this rifle since then <3

  • more accurate and more firepower cadence than g36, much better in dust or watter

  • best assault rifle

  • This or g36?

  • @PesarTarofi The HK416 basically an upgraded G36.

  • @Maximalnoob Rather M4 with G36 mechanism.

  • @Maximalnoob its not really an upgraded G36 since they both use the same piston system, the only thing different is the look

  • @KnightArkham So you mean that the G36 is also does handle water, shit and sand without blowing up?

  • @Maximalnoob yup, it wont blow up in any of those, the reason is because they took the piston system from the G36 and put it in the HK416, so they both have the same success firing after being dipped in water, sand and mud

  • @KnightArkham then the hk416 is a overpriced hk rifle and g36 is better

  • @Maximalnoob yup pretty much

  • Nice, but is it custard proof?

  • one person doesnt like this is because he is russian and they know they will die

  • Bury it in the sand then vibrate that box so the sand works its way in.

  • @Alexn1067 put an m4 in water, and it will have a bad outcome.

  • @tellyman6688500 Again, that was a test conducted by H&K. Of course their model would come out on top.

Aggresive propaganda by H&K and other competing companies has surely left their mark around the interwebs....

  • @Kuwaga1 but still. have you ever seen an m4 getting fired filled with water in or from under water? it explodes. and it is a good weapon of course, keep it clean and oiled and it will fire when it should fire. then the HK416 is a very new rifle compared to the m4, and much more intellegently made. by the way, the first m4 i saw getting fired in water and explode wasnt done by H&K.

  • @tellyman6688500 You know that the even a regular 416 would suffer damage (or if you want to say, explode) if fired in water? The model that can withstand such is a variant especially made for such purpose. It has nothing to do with the core design, much less the piston.

  • @Kuwaga1 but my point, it is still better than an m4 in every way.

i would on the other hand keep the AG3 with me here in Norway, if there was a war.

  • @Kuwaga1 I would still take this weapon with me to combat anyday. I love the fact that the bolt wont be as dirty because of the innovative piston assembly. That means less cleaning, less worn parts. As an armorer in the Marine Corps I say we replace all M4 Carbines with this beauty.

  • @MindOfTheThief "Kuwaga this is your politician speaking we dont want to replace m4s since they cost money and your life aint that important than the bribes i take everyday from corporations but thanks for serving our country" lol that was a joke dont get mad, I agree this gun is a work of art and i hate american government who will spend millions and billions on a stealth bomber but not for a reliable gun for our soldiers

  • @MindOfTheThief You make fair points, though I wouldn't call that piston design ''innovative''. It comes from the G36, and from it way back into the years of the AR-18. Good design, but nothing new.

  • 416 is a great weapon, though I hate M-4 profile barrels for full auto, I rather have a heavy barrel, and the price of HK weapons is through the roof, that being said, you do get what you pay for and that's a good solid weapon. My question is does the gas block area on the front of the rifle get extremely hot like other piston designs like the Ruger SR556?

  • Best job ever?

  • what a crock of shit, there are multiple videos where traditional m-16s and m4s are put to the same tests and perform the same.....consider the source...they are HK officials

  • The m16 and Ak-47 got a child, its called HK 416.

  • @TheJ0ne Nope M16 and G36.

  • my top 3

    3. m16

    2. g36

    1.hk416

  • aimbot much? xD

  • german make the best weapon ever!!

  • What show is this?

    -Thanks

  • gun porn at 2:45

  • 1. Magazines

A major but often overlooked factor in a firearm's reliability is the design of its magazine. The AK-47’s magazine has a pronounced curve which allows it to smoothly feed ammunition into the chamber. Its heavy steel construction combinded with "feed-lips" (the surfaces at the top of the magazine that control the angle at which the cartridge enters the chamber) machined from a single steel billet makes it highly resistant to damage. This makes the AK-47 magazine more reliable.

  • @antiigravity Overall a good point, but you missed some details. The AK (7.62x39 variants in particular) have a highly curved magazine because of the extreme taper on the 7.62x39mm cartridge. That taper on the cartridge aids in feeding and extraction. You'll see that the curvature on the 5.35x39.5mm and 5.56x45mm magazines is not nearly as pronounced. The cartridges themselves aren't nearly as tapered. That said, the AK's magazine is a lot more durable.

  • Who hear thinks HK should revisit the design of the XM8?

  • Oh, the smell of H&K fanboyism is so strong one can almost touch it... well, time to burst some bubbles and instruct some people.

  • Nice

  • Heh, good ol' HK marketing. The M16 would have passed the sand and mud test. The 416 only will pass the water test if it has the OTB bold (the rear of the bolt carrier is fluted to allow for drainage, out the holes in the receiver extension. I believe you could do this with an M16/M4, but I think you'd also get a lot of gas blowing out of them as well.

  • Some US military sites say yes we will use the HK416 in the future

  • when its done right .. its done in Germany.

  • @superford500 if its done in germany its not the m16 replacement. the us government don't want any other country with inside knowledge of their weapons. the xm8 was supposely the first replacement for the m16 and since it was made in germany it was discontinued.

  • @TheRaizenLegend The M16 is known well world over. Most of the US military's M16s are produced by FN Herstal, a Belgian company. The XM8 was far from the first proposed replacement for the M16/M4 FOW, it was just the latest in a long line of rifles that didn't measure up. The XM8 was discontinued because it tended to melt under sustained fire, had no rail space, and didn't offer much over the legacy platform.

  • @superford500 they prob discontinue this weapon to

  • win for the ar-15 platform. this puts the ak-47 platform to shame.

  • @JOEtheHOTTIE it stole the piston platform from the AK, and it took them over 60 years to top it, lol, not very impressive if you ask me, the new russian weapons like the AEK and AN-94 put this to shame

  • @blackheartsbirth the aek used 80s technology; an-94 used 90s technology; HK 416 is the latest using 2000s technology. but it all boils down to preference. you're obviously an AK fanboy so I'm guessing you would defend the AK platform with all your life. there's nothing i can do about that.

  • @JOEtheHOTTIE that's my point though, the 2000 technology is finally toping the ak-47, which was invented in 1947 lol, its about time we make a good weapon, I'd like this gun in the .308 caliber or the 5.45 russian caliber, those are both great rounds

  • @blackheartsbirth Check out PWS. Reliable piston driven guns for a great price. Also, their muzzle devices really help in smoothing out a piston system.

  • @blackheartsbirth 5.45 is not good at all. The 7N6 performs like an M995 AP 5.56mm round, except without the armor piercing capability. Which is to say it's terminal effectiveness is suspect. The M16 surpassed the AK back in the 1960s. Lighter, more accurate, more adaptable, ergonomically correct. There is a good reason why it's the choice for units that can choose their own weapons. US, British, French, Australian, and Kiwi SOF units use the M16 FOW.

  • @Nater245689 5.45 is a great round and much more deadly than the 5.56 round, You obviously know nothing. There's a reason why its the "poison round." lol. The M16 used newer technology cus it was invented a decade later so of course it's lighter, but its a piece of plastic that jams much more often and not nearly as indestructible as the AK is. The AK round has much more stopping power as well. There are Iraqi's who've taken 7 5.56 rounds before dropping! My military buddies love my tactical AK

  • @blackheartsbirth Anyone who says "poison round" in the same sentence as 5.45 obviously knows approximately jack shit. Look at the literature, you might actually learn something. The AK round, by which I'll assume you mean 7.62x39, lacks stopping power as well. The steel cored M43 variant used by the Warsaw Pact is notorious for late upset, small temporary stretch cavities, and poor terminal effects. Not to mention it's rainbow trajectory.

  • @Nater245689 However, the M67 variant that Yugoslavia used, is fairly good. It upsets much earlier than does the M43 while providing larger temporary stretch and permanent crush cavities. Unfortunately, it still suffers from the issues inherent in 7.62x39.

  • @blackheartsbirth Most of the issues with 5.56 stem from the fact that the US military uses the M855 cartridge in short barreled carbines. It was designed for the 24" barrel of the M249, not the 14.5" barrel of the M4A1 or even the 20" barrel of the M16. They don't provide enough velocity for fragmentation. The Army and Marines have since gone to the M855A1 and Mk 318 Mod 0, respectively. They provide far better terminal effects than any 5.45x39.5mm cartridge.

  • @blackheartsbirth Piece of plastic? The only plastic on the M16 are the hand guards, stock, and pistol grip. The upper and lower receivers are forged aluminum while the barrel, barrel extension, bolt, bolt carrier, and fire control group are steel.

  • @Nater245689 You want to know what's a better gun, M16 or AK-47? Just look at the vietnam war. We lost because we had the worst gun.

  • @blackheartsbirth This just demonstrates that you probably have a touch of the Downs. The reasons the US lost Vietnam are political, not military. Don't argue with people that are far, far more educated than you are. You just make yourself look even dumber.

  • @blackheartsbirth No we didn't. Are you kidding me? The gun used is the only factor in winning a war?

  • @NXPenguinFlutist No but the AK was a big contributor to the fact that they won the war, Learn history, And not history from the propaganda government control schools

  • @blackheartsbirth You need to read a book or else stop spewing idiocy. It wasn't like the AK was the first piston driven automatic rifle. Besides, the AK is a long stroke gas piston. This, and most other western, gas piston operated rifles, use a short stroke system. The AN-94 is overly complex, ergonomically terrible, and finicky to say the least. Cost isn't the only reason why the Russian army uses the AK-74M and the elite units tend towards the AK-103.

  • @Nater245689 I never said the AK had the first piston system, So you need to learn how to read my comments correctly, lol. The AN-94 is overly complex? And the M16 wasn't? Why do you think it was so unreliable then? The simplicity of the AK's was why it surpassed the M16. What qualifications do you even have on speaking on this subject?

  • @blackheartsbirth You've obviously never stripped an AR, they're very simply weapons. The "unreliability" is grossly overstated. The US has been using them in the worst possible environments for the last decade without issue. Had the AK-47 been introduced under the same conditions as the M16 (wrong powder, bad powder, little testing, no cleaning kits) it would have suffered the same failures.

  • @Nater245689 Your just biased, Everyone knows the AK is more simple than the m16 that's why its the most common weapon, The nickname of the 5.45 is the poison round, if you didn't know that your obviously retarded, My friend in the marines would much rather use the AK than an M4 because they've seen people take 7 rounds from an M4 before they drop, With an AK you could drop them with one, You lost the debate sir I'm sorry. Older technology surpassed the American technology until now

  • @blackheartsbirth I'm sorry but the gun used may have been a factor, but an incredibly small one due to lack of tactics, poor organization, and a nightmare when it comes to hunting down people who KNOW THEIR OWN LAND AND THE TUNNELS IN IT. Classic example: U.S. loses about a hundred troops conquering a hill. We then move out. Vietnam retakes the hill. Do you see? Also, in the military, the Geneva convention outlaws hollowpoint rounds. If those rounds were legalized, 5.56 would drop them.

  • @NXPenguinFlutist Don't take it from me, Read a book, It's common knowledge that the AK is one of the MANY but still prominent reasons why we lost. And it was actually the Hague Convention of 1899 that prohibited their use not the geneva convention. Learn history. The AK does have older engineering, and that was my original point, It was the best and it took years for us to top it. The M16 had jam issues, It did not top the AK, Its round also was too small, that's why you see guns that are

  • @blackheartsbirth The AK is more simple than an AR but thats because it's older and has worse engineering. Its simplicity has nothing to do with it's adoption. The Russians and Chineas pretty much just give them away. 5.45 has worse balistics than a .22. There is no such thing as a one hit kill round and if there was it wouldnt be anything soviet. One American took 9 AK wounds 6 of which lethal, 28+ shrapnel, and a bayonet and lived. If it takes 7 rounds to down someone you obviously have over

  • @chrisknife1 Going to replace the m16 like the 6.8 because of the limitations with 5.56. The simplicity has everything to do with it, It was the simplicity and reliability and cheap price that became the factor on why every country wanted AK's, and Russia gave them to anyone that claimed to not like us. I never said one shot kill rounds, I said the AK rounds will drop a man in one shot. You're really biased towards american guns you need to stop watching the military channel and talk to soldiers

  • @blackheartsbirth kill. If a Marine switched has rifle for an AK he'd be so screwed. Older technology is not better than an M16. Most of it's problems wheren't it's fault. I find that comment to be racist and stupid. I have a question, if AKs are so great why dont Delta and SEALs use them. All there weapons are handpicked so really if all US soldiers want to switch for AKs why dont Spec ops that are better trained and smarter than you. The 416 is German and far better than anything Russian.

  • @chrisknife1 Ok so you know more about weapons than my marine friend who went to Iraq and killed people with his m16? He says the ak is much more reliable and he'd much rather trust his life with it. You know nothing of war, I'm done talking to you, Your knowledge of guns obviously only comes from video games. The 416 is better, 60 fucking years later, lol, The AK is on a countries flag, its on a countries coin, Its killed more people on the planet than the A-bomb. m16 sucks, which is why...

  • @chrisknife1 which is why the americans are searching for its replacement. Some soldiers actually prefer the m14 to do the m16 because of the limitations with 5.56. Its accurate and deadly round but lacks significant stopping power compared to the punch of the 5.45 or the 7.62 within 400 meters

  • @blackheartsbirth 6.8 grendal has been out for years and hasnt been adopted. I like to run .300 Blackout through my rifles but 5.56 is more than capeable. 5.56 to 5.45 is like 7.62x51 to 7.62x39. 5.56 is much stronger so by your standered it's not outdated. Really what does your name calling prove. They also say the only people who like AKs are gamerboys so... I've spoken with Spec Ops soldiers before and they obviously know more than Marines. Again if SEALs get to choose why dont they have AKs.

  • @blackheartsbirth In it's first conflict the M16 proved itself more effective but lost. Every conflict after it fought the same AKs and won every time. It's not about what happend then what matters is the HK 416 and SCAR L vs the AK74M and up. The reason the NVA had AKs was because they couldnt get NATO guns/ammo. They still took M16s and CAR-15s. The AK47 was last years model. The Russian had replaced it already. If people like simple guns what about bolt actions or Rossi .22/410s.

  • @blackheartsbirth If you like AKs good for you. I like ARs and yes I am American biased. Your Russian biased America is kown for better weapons.I'm even more German biased.M16 vs AK47 but I say G3.The Germans iventedthe forsaken things and they still make the best. Sure the G3 is a battle rifle but it's the same concept. It's really pointless argueing. If the M16s won more wars isnt it better. In the end whats more effective is whats better not what there is more of.

  • @blackheartsbirth Not really, it isn't. The only part of the AR that is more complex is the bolt itself, but that rarely requires cleaning (every few thousand rounds). You've clearly never taken one apart. The 7.62x39 is not a particularly lethal round, either. A very long neck and a small permanent crush cavity are not hallmarks of terminal effectiveness.

  • @blackheartsbirth Yes, I know the 5.45 is called the "poison round". I also know enough about the 7N6 (the most commonly issued variant) to know it's bullshit. Don't believe me? Look at the tests. Even the M855, not known for it's outstanding performance in rifles and carbines, easily outperforms it. When you have a projectile that small, it simply has to fragment to cause serious damage. 7N6 doesn't.

  • @blackheartsbirth I also don't care what your imaginary friend in the Marines thinks. My guess is that after a few days with the AK, he'll want his optics, lasers, lights, and the M16 they're attached to back. You can't say that you've won when you haven't offered anything remotely based upon fact as an argument. That's not how adults do things.

  • @blackheartsbirth Before you reply back with some more astounding ignorance, why don't you go look at some real information. Watch a video of an AR field strip. Look at Dr. Gary Roberts' ballistic testing on Warsaw Pact rifle rounds. Hell, just read anything about actual terminal ballistics or how firearms actually work.

  • @Nater245689 How many parts are in a m16? How many parts are in an AK? I rest my case

  • @blackheartsbirth Quite a come back. Unless you're "touched", they're both very easy weapons to field strip. Most toys they sell to kids under 10 require more thought than putting an AR back together. Not really an argument there. Certainly not a response to anything I said.

  • @blackheartsbirth There is a reason why you don't see too many stamped AK-47s. It's because they had massive teething problems. Had the AK-47 been introduced during a war, with propellant that swelled in severe humidity, without cleaning kits, and without through testing, it would have had the same issues as the M16. My qualifications on the subject are that I obviously know a hell of a lot more than you do. You should have been able to tell that from my first posts.

  • People, this piston design is NOTHING NEW. i love H&K, but i cant believe they didn't copy-and-improved this earlier...

  • What a rifle! German made and German price.

  • im proud to be german :) and i love HK ;)

  • hk 416 is my new favorite hero but i wish that it could fire the 6.8mm instead of 5.6mm

all germany product are the best specialy the cars and weapons

  • i love that the norwegian army uses this as its rifle :=)

  • @TEAMSLIDECORNERS Go norway <3

  • @TEAMSLIDECORNERS i believe they also use the g36 but mainly the 416

  • @jackthePS3GAMER yes norwegian special forces used the g36 but after 2008 it got replaced by the hk416 : )

  • @TEAMSLIDECORNERS nice :)

  • @TEAMSLIDECORNERS why would they replace a G36 with a HK416 when there the same thing in terms they use the same operating mechanisms and are reliable in all elements

  • @KnightArkham i am no gun expert but all i know is that the hk416 beats the g36.

  • @TEAMSLIDECORNERS if your no gun expert how do you know the hk416 beats the g36? retard

  • @KnightArkham They both have advantages. ARs are generaly built more for speed ROF and ergonomics wise. The G36 has different features like the folding stock and clampable mags. The 416 also has better rail space but isnt ambidexterouse like the G36. G36 is also lighter.

  • @chrisknife1 i thought the 416 had ambidextrous controls, i know the 417 does, i wonder why they only make guns for right handed shooters and im right handed

  • @KnightArkham they are in some cases. I think that all the civilian varients like the MR556 and MR556A1 are but I know that older military models arnt. The only things that arnt are selector, mag release, and bolt catch. H&K is going to have to start makeing them with ambidextrous controls though because it's required for the individual carbine testing and if you ask me they already have the edge except for the price which is probably the only reason the gov will pick something else.

  • @chrisknife1 They really don't have an edge in the IC competition. No one does. It's a dog and pony show. There isn't anything out there that really does the job any better than the M4A1. It's especially hard to justify considering dwindling military spending.

  • Haha, that guy's name is Bohner xD

  • If Mr. Kalashnikov had seen this during his lifetime, he would have shat his pants.

  • @Vaskadar thats for shure mate!!!....

  • @Vaskadar Why? He didn't soil himself when the AR 18 appeared.

Bonus points if you know why I mention that gun.

  • @Kuwaga1 hmmm... similar gas system? The AR-15 variant sold a lot of units and outshone the AR 18 on the market. No serious buyers and was never a service rifle. Meh. Either way... both rifles are automatically superior to the AR-15 because of their operating mechanisms. Still, Kalashnikov once said that his weapon would never be beaten by anything anyone else could come up with. Guess he's been disproven by this joint program.

  • @Vaskadar Heh... funny how the rumors (spread mostly by competing companies) about the 'horrors' of the DI system caught like wildfire, especially among the internet users. Check my other comment for some useful info.

  • like an ak

  • @alexa0566 not exactly, but in some ways yes.

  • actually this isnt better than the normal M4carbine.... this gun when it was produced it copied the M4 with a better design.. after, they fixed the jamming prob with the M4 by putting in the M4s a piston very similar with that in the M416... at first the M416 shooted 650 rpm and the M4 900rpm... now M416 made even more M4 look-like mods to fire faster at 900rpm... its simple, the one copied the other, in different stuff...now, they are the same...

  • @xxXfanosXxx

    1. The correct name is H&K 416, not M416.

    2. The 416 s better than the M4 because it is more reliable. Don't believe me? look up the 416 over the beach test.

  • @1169Timothy Actually you can call it m416 because it copied the m4 (i heard h&k germans saying this). Am studying M4s from every source since i was a kid... those vids that you tell me to watch are probably older than you... And as i said on my previous comment, M4 problems with water, jamming etc were solved since they have replaced the M4s' pistons with new type pistons

  • @xxXfanosXxx

    1. I am not that young but I am not that old either.

    2. I have heard of no such modifications, but there may have been some I am not infallible.

    3. I am an H&K Elitist so there are very few weapons that I will admit are better than there H&K counterparts. Not so in this case.

    4. Did you look up the video? Perhaps you could tell me if the M4 in the video is the old one.

  • @1169Timothy i didnt get the last question (4) tell me more precisely...

  • @xxXfanosXxx What I mean is;

I am sure that the Colt M4 in the video (HK416 vs M4) that I watched was the M4A1 model and it exploded when they tried to fire it after it soaked in water. The question now is, with the modified version of the M4 that you are talking about. Did they address this issue?

  • @1169Timothy now i understand your question... Yes, they actually solved every prob including this one... but, with a similar gas-piston system like the hk416 has ( 0:39 )

  • @xxXfanosXxx What date were these modifications made to the weapon?

  • Comment removed

  • @1169Timothy oh, am not shure exactly but i have seen that gas-piston system on the gas tube of the gun 1-2-.. years after hk416 was produced. And the bolt (or piston, idk how exactly is called in english) inside the receivers was modified some years before hk416 was produced.

  • @xxXfanosXxx oh. so that would mean that the new modifications that were made to the Colt model weapon were inspired from the HK variant. Question, what is your opinion of the Weapon manufacturing company HK?

  • @1169Timothy Yes, the gas-piston system was actually inspired from the hk416. And my opinion on the h&k company is, that H&K is one of the best manufacturers ever... i have never seen an H&K rifle which is not reliable, and some of the best guns in the world are made from H&K

  • @xxXfanosXxx and that is why I am an HK elitist.

  • acr and scar are much better

  • @0jakinho0 search it a bit... they are not..

  • @monkah15 future weapons, the very fact that it can handle the mud, water and sand makes it far better then the m4,and its ability to maintain perfect accuracy while full auto blows the m4 away

  • dear santa.......

  • The Best Assault Rifle in the World! HK for the win!!! :3

  • @monkah15 That's just the begining

  • i love the should i say 'M4-ish' design on guns (i mean M27 and the HK416) the HK416 is my fav assault rifle so far not to mention i like the MP5 from the HK company too

  • HK for life. fuck yea. HK makes damn fine weapons. After seeing these, I would be pissed to be issued an M4/16

  • ze germans!

  • @monkah15 your estupid,this gun is AMAZING,its safe,simple,fast and super accurate,it could blow the m4 straight away

  • Perfect!

  • try this water > sand > mud, see if it's still firing.

  • It like smg version of M4

  • lolz after seeing this who needsan ak-47

  • @pandawarriordingo Someone who is on a budget

  • @monkah15 hm... The Norwegian Armed Forces use this as a Standard assualt rifle.. Problem, usa? *Trollface* :D

  • This is all nice and well but this weapons worst enemy is cold. It jams ALOT in cold climate. True story, been there, done that.

  • What show is this?

  • m4+m16 and what we get.? = HK416...!

  • @Minecraftering121 M416 also works thats the american name

  • @Minecraftering121 1 difference is its gas system thats really all it is an m4 or m16 with a piston operating system

  • @ChrisRedfield226 that´s not really right - the name HK416 was chosen to from HK to make a joke in Colt. It´s former name was "HK M4" but they had to change it after Colt brought that name to court. The name M416 is just fantasy coming from computer games. The technology of the HK416 comes from the development of the XM8 und therfore the G36 and is still based on the FG42 and then the StG44, but massivly improved.

  • @VargVinter yeah it's designated as the hk416 and yeah i know had todo a hour long presentation on it

  • Dear Germany,

    Gimme.

    Sincerely, Anthony.

  • @SuperSocomSeals

    Hehe...Dear USA

    Gimme.

    Sincerely from fuck law Germany

  • Dan Bohner? (giggle giggle trollface)
