  • 3:00 name of the movie?

  • the best part of this was the UNITED KINGDOM of Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England that arose from the darkness...UNITED they stood ---divided ?

  • legio ix was replaced by Legio VI Victrix, and then was send to The Netherlands, last known fact is that legio IX maybe was dispatched or anihilated in Turkey, Israel or even Armenia

  • Proud heritage

  • that awkward moment when you realize its not soldiers, but something warmer thats rolling into you

  • Great background music from "Braveheart" (the first one).

  • 4:41 omg, epic fail

  • @fgalaxie, too bad the Roman empire has vanish from history long time ago, otherwise you should be a good expectacle on the Roman circus, perhaps as lions or tigers's meal, but I will feel sorry for the animals after eating somebody like you, surely they will die of poisoning.Or maybe an old Roman will use you as lover, and make you more Roman in every sense.

  • @Shaliaj7 Roman empire will always exist.

  • @galaxie, yeah the barbarian romans "civilized" the world, and part of it was the Roman circus were people delighted on the sight of human buchery and blood, sometimes with gladiators (men took away from their families) and others with lions eaten Christians.

You just forgot to mention how Rome fell: victim of its own decadence. Rome is gone, the Jewish people, Celts and Carthaginians live forever.Make sure you worship the godess "Cloaca" to be complete "roman".

  • This is fiction.

There is no celtic RACE anyway. its simply a term used to describe various intermingled cultures around the british isles at the time.

  • @FGalaxie You are spouting nonsense! I have proved CELTIC YDNA!

  • @Reinaert53 Well youve proved bs then.

its ok, you will be muslim soon anyway.

  • why fights a klingon (4:04min) vs romans? Kirk or Picard should tell him they aint Romulian!

  • Wonderful depiction of Celtic war fare. :D

  • Icelanders and Celtics are my favourite european ethnicity! Not being racist, but they are arguably the only ethnicity to have maintained their original traditions! Gypies are very cool too(although they are of subcontinental origin)!

    cheers

  • @cillantro

in fact there is no difference in european people. there is no difference betwenn keltoi and germans, cause there never where "germans" as people till arminius united them to fight the romans in teutoburg. So this guys where celt too, all european people are named "keltoi", but they where parted into many many tribes.

In fact "keltoi" means the same as "aryan"

  • @DerErwecker Just FYI as far as I know, there is no ""race"" called aryan- speaking eulogically that is.

genetic mapping shows even the welsh(leave alone the scots) are genetically/racially miles apart from the english.Just google "welsh and english races apart" and read the first BBC article. It says that the english are descendants from anglo saxons of holland while the welsh are...welsh...pure and simple.Similarly the people of catalonia are also distinct as arethe scots,Irish and Finns! :0

  • Goodness gracious great balls of fire. I may have to check this movie out.

  • lol rome total war song at the end of the vid

  • Fantastic selection of images & music!

  • Long live the Celts, Jews, Carthaginians and any tribe who fought the cruel savage Romans.Yes they build acueducts, roads, etc, but not to improve the liife of others, only to their own convenience.Celts,Jews, Carthaginians theys were (and their descendants) advance in social laws, education oceanic travel, metal working, including the double sharp edged sword adopted by Rome itself, Romans were pure brutes imperalist, see how J. Ceaser die and how they fell apart by STD's.

  • @Shaliaj7 uhhh LOL

  • @Shaliaj7 You really are an idiot, no other words can describe it.

Poeple migrated TO the Roman empire to prosper and become citizens.

  • Great video, great historical account, too bad that the Celts were unable to achieve always this kind of victories over the savage Romans, too many people have this misconception that Romans were "civilized" they simple perfected the act of war, pilliage, the mass killing of nations and explotation of others, they were the real savages, long life to the Jews, the Carthaginians, and the brave Celts!!! cursed Rome forever!!!! I share your idea about the Picts as Celts, come back Hannibal!!!!

  • @Shaliaj7 man you are on pills.

Romans civilised the world, they should have killed the jews first.

  • @Shaliaj7 More a pity the Palestinians cant get weapons and take it to the evil hasidic untermensch with usa in their pocket.

    karma will come one day.

  • BC and AD will do Just as well..if not better

  • I consider the roman empire as the american one of the time. They were independant tribes facing a coordinated imperialism. I consider myslef descendant of Celtic, i have thirst for independance, glory and Imperialistic Blood !

  • tyhis is the movie king arthur if i am right

  • to me there are 'spheres of influence' in religious terms; islamic;christian;celtic[or pagan?]; and 'other' [ie, buddhism, pre christian roman religion, greek [-ie, romano w diff names]., egyptian, blah blah blah. the picts, like the gauls, britons, huns, etc, were all of the general 'celtic' religion, just as catholic, roman catholic, protestant, orthodoxy, baptist, methodist are all of the christian faith and shi-ite, sunni [c an't think of any more] are all of the islamic faith/religion. yawn

  • jesus christ is an idol invention and any christian males found following jesus must be sentenced to the death penalty.

ladies i love you be adolf hitler if you like.

  • my ancestors would approve this video. Also they didnt get the true (rage) in this...if your celtic and you have ever raged on someone.i know my last name is celtic for FIGHTER .DOWN WITH ROME!!!

  • I love watching Romans dying by the truck load. Rome was the ultimate dictator bully of the ancient world. When Rome fell that was a great day.

  • @svenmega10022 I understand and it should have been a great day but the Roman empire transformed itself into an ecclsiastical empire with the same persecuting spirit as the old empire (Inquisition, Crusades et cetera et cetera).

  • @svenmega10022 Yeah totally, what did Rome ever do for us? Oh you know, except for better healthcare, sanitation, roads, concrete, the calendar, FAR better education, writing, money, and all in all a better life for everyone in Europe at the time. Without Rome we would be nothing. From Brittania to Nubia, from Iberia to Parthia, S.P.Q.R

  • @TheCenturion1453 agree..

  • @svenmega10022 Rome never fell. The same guys just moved to Byzantium and changed their ruling religion of Jupiter into some hybrid mix of New Testament and Socratic doctrines so they could convert a Europe that was turning its favor towards the "new" savior religion to their own convoluted image of that religion. The Vatican ruled the middle ages and still is very strong.

  • Nice. What's the name of the music?

  • @Archosaur96 It's from braveheart and from the game, medieval total war.

  • @conor845 That's Rome: total war bud, not medieval.

  • Comment removed

  • built a wall to keep us out,the end of the roman empire was hadrians wall after that picts land and a few celts in the west coast

  • they are picts from what is now scotland ;]

  • Those barbarians looks too savage to be british celts. I think they might be picts. Who knows.

  • what is this movie please?

  • @SoulrapeR100 Centurion

  • @conor845 O_O when i saw that name i did not watch the video

i liked the movie but this part and the end sucked from the movie *no offence*

  • @conor845 centurian i could swear parts of this are from king aurther

  • @jeremybear14 yeah some are.

  • @conor845 and from the movie known as: The Last Legion

  • @SoulrapeR100 This movie is bullshit. It's like making a movie with a piranha eating a shark.

  • @SoulrapeR100 Centurion its a must watch awesome film!

  • that was a 15k denari clan battle

  • 9th Legion was in SPAIN and supposivly disappeared? Was it in Spain? Stationed in Spain but fought all over?

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570 Spain has more history than all Europe combined. The celts of northern Spain are the ones that travelled to what is now Scottland 500 BC. Scottish celts are originally from northern Spain. Also Spain was the second Rome. Just check pictures of Segovia, you won't find a larger acqueduct not even in all Italy. My point, i hear comments of ignorant American people who don't even know where Spain is on the map.

  • @sfumato1002 saying that spain has more history than all europe combined is something ridiculous. We can that about italy simply because if you inform yourself you can easily see how many unesco protected sites are situated just in italy.Btw i agree with your point about the americans misconception of the "indo american".I do believe the americans call "indios" hispanics or latinos just for the language.RACIALLY the indios can't be european obviously.

  • @ondasuondaable Yes, that was a bit of a stretch LOL. Sorry. But its hurst when Americans talk about Spain as if we were not European or have no history. It hurst when in the movie "Kingdom of the heavens" they use a spanish castle to represent the French LOL. Spain has no identity in the USA. The only movie they ever did about Spain was El Cid back in 60's. All Spain is remembered for is the conquistadors in the Americas. That is just like 1% of our history.

  • @ondasuondaable There are so many sites in Spain. Like the castle of sagunto where hannibal battled rome. Yet they decide to make a Roman movie about England and Scottland? I have nothing against that...but wow, can you mention us a little bit too? Spain was part of the Roman province of Hispania and no one mentions this? Whatever.

  • @ondasuondaable , And by the Way, when you talk about Rome, did you ever consider that all the Romans in Spain where Roman Spaniards? I mean Trajan was a spanish Roman emperor for God's sake, there were also many spanish commanders in the Roman armies.

  • @sfumato1002 eheh i can feel your pain about american ignorance LOL.Anyway yes there were important roman families in the province too.But racially they were of italic heritage, obviously. You have to consider that hispania wasn't a nation but only a region of the empire governed by roman families.I knew that spanish people have a celtic heritage right?in italy there were celtic tribes too in the north..in the centre the latini (true latin peoples[indoeuropeans]),and in the south greeks.

  • Corporate fascists in the US & in Britain are destroying Western civilization by hiring low paid illegal instead of their own people. Corporate traitors need to be prosecuted and executed.

  • correct me if i am wrong but this looks like the teutoburger forrest attack assaulted from the german tribe of cheruskie in 9 AD... I know this is the movie Centruion that is showing a slauhghter of roman soldeirs by teh picts... good movie though :D

  • @janzevec77 its picts or scottish ppl if you like but scots were not invented by then they lived in the western isles only and were called dalriadians then, from the kingdom of dalriata ,ex irish basically that moved there

  • @feckatroll Yes i know that the word Scotisch is from the word "scotti" which means pirates (or something like that) and came mainly from the Ireland. Even picts means "painted people", courious how they call themselfs. Thanks for reply.

  • @janzevec77 look up the visigoths they sacked rome in roughly 400 ad ? think they were german tribes too i think

  • @feckatroll yes they "invaded" rome in 410 a.d. but hey didn´t sack. they were germans but christians too and just come too get what the empire for they service promised (they guarded the border in eastern part of roman west empire), but never kept the word... look the terry jones series barbarians ita accelenct series about the gots and other "barbarians".

  • i am a pict ,the romans beat us at mons grapius but that only meant we did guerilla tactics after that, we are the only tribe in europe they could'nt conquer

  • @feckatroll i didnt realised that picts even exist today :D but glad to know this ;)

  • @janzevec77 only in name ,the culture died when the scots united with the picts in 745a.d through marriage and made 1 st king of a united scotland kenneth mc'alpine,

  • @feckatroll I saw the list of scottisch kings, pretty interesting to see how in 12th Century actually norways noblemans became the "kings" of scotland and later the english one. But i think that the actuall power of scotland layed in highlands clans who where actually independent from their king. But still scotland rules i hope i visit one day the magnificent highlands!

  • @feckatroll united is probably not quite the word I would use. Many high status Scots moved into Pictish land in a similar way to the Normans taking over Saxon lands. I thought David was the first King of Scotland not old Kenny mac Alpin although he is mentioned as Pictii Ri or King of the Picts. Some think he might have had a Pictish mother. There were Northumbrian English, Strathclyde Britons and Isle of Skye Norwegians holding land in what is now Scotland at this time not under Kennys rule.

  • @2112forfour its a shame they never wrote more down about their ways of life and the beaker peoples before them, these ancient tribes are fascinating

  • @feckatroll but they left some beautiful sculpture, both Pagan and Christian. I have a great book in my collection called The Picts by Tim Clarkson (amazon.co.uk/Picts-History-Tim-Clarkson/dp/0752443925).

  • Muy buen video sobre los celtas.

  • Ave this heroic roman soldiers which leave their lives.

  • @conor845 my view on the subject is that given roman desintegratin and that this legion was mainly composed by Asturians and gallaecians from northspain that were celts they quited the fight, as they show in the movie, but not the reasons, they shared a bound so it was kind of natural they joined as regular inhabitants bound legends Arthur Miles Spaine Oissin

Aswell like plinio said ponnies are descendants to our asturcones horses that were sailed with thei celt merc to fight in legio

  • at 3:52 its from gladiator in the first battle.

  • I hate to crash Hollywood's party on the 'famous 9th Legion', but the real Ninth Legion, Legio IX Hispania, was massacred in AD 60 by the Trinovantes. They were by no means the 'last Romans' in Albion. Roman forces pulled-out by AD 410 to help reinforce the borders in Europe, since the Germanic tribes were closing in.

  • uhhh, i like this brother

  • @conor845 does it also talk about the celts in the movie from the Iberia, France, Germany, & British Isles? :)

  • @OrlandoCG954 no, it centers around the 9th legion being destroyed in scotland by Picts, then the survivors have to escape wild pict women to return to roman lands.

  • what movie is this???

  • what movie is this???

  • love the braveheart into TW:viking invasion music

  • Very well done !'

  • @conor845

I did as you said, interesting. I was taught in school that britain was made up of celts to the north, picts in the middle, and saxons invading from the south. The peoples of newcastle and other northern england towns where art and culture is not exactly their strong point, were said to be pictish decendants. but then again that was more then 20 years ago, and most of my education was lies anyway...

    Thanks

  • newer videos are better

  • Werent the picts kinda morons tho? no writings no art, they left nothing for posterity. Completely unlike all the other celts?

I could be wrong im not expert, but this is my amateur understanding.

  • i liked the music

  • Actually these were Picts, not just celts, they were a merge of celts, and native european tribes.

  • This is americans ancestors lol

  • Honestly, all primitive Briton/Scottish/Irish tribes derive from Basque, a northern Iberian peoples who had migrated to the isles long before the Celts did. The Celt culture enveloped most of souther England, and although it influenced the north and Ireland, the people maintained their Basque DNA.

  • Besides, Britain eventually made Rome look like nothing, they conquered half of the entire planet...it just didn't last as long as rome ~Everything that rises also falls.

  • @lindachegwidden

"Britain eventually made Rome look like nothing"

In which way,Rome encompassed the richest territories in the world, made by the conquest of several great powers of the time, and possessed more than 1/3 of the world population, while the British Empire, was huge but encompassed in its majority deserts, territories conquered to weaklings.

  • @StellandBlood Are you kidding me? The British Empire was the largest empire in all of human history FACT. Just google a map of the British Empire in the 1920's and then compare it to the Roman Empire at it's peak. Rome only took half of Europe heck even the Mongol Empire was larger- It's just that Rome is portrayed as the greatest of them all and all glorious in Hollywood movies (possessed more than 1/3 of the world population? are you daft? as if the world map had even been created back then-

  • @lindachegwidden The population inside the Empire,is known by census,Roman invention, for the one in the rest of the world deduction by historians.

You seem a idiot, territorial largeness proves very little,British Empire was huge, but far from solid, and effective, most its territories were wastelands, many that were not,not even governed, just belonging to it in the map.

  • @lindachegwidden

Germany having a tiny territory in comparison topped the British Empire in many regards,so did France, while Rome at a point was not rivaled by no one in no area, except population by the Chin Empire.

It just took a real war,to see how that Empire was extremely overstretched(a mistake Rome searched not to commit, giving up territory it couldn´t effectively rule) and was extremely fragile, with a tiny sustaining core.......

  • @StellandBlood "Germany having a tiny territory in comparison topped the British Empire in many regards" NEWSFLASH They had just as many allies on their side- seriously don't even mention WW1&2, The Italians would just keep changing sides like a hooker changing her underwear- "The Japanese promising "independence" To the Asian people?" are you fucking kidding me?? like invading the China & Korea? or the Rape of Nanking?... okay just shut up now because you sound ignorant as fuck...

  • @lindachegwidden

"Allies",its funny you touch that question, the British Empire/England never fought a major war in its history alone, just 100 years war,and lost, and in European affairs the UK NEVER was the main actor, there is even a saying due to UK eagerness in wanting the protagonism for itself without the due cost "UK will fight Napoleon to the last drop of German,Austrian and Russian blood"your country was always a secondary military power.

  • @lindachegwidden

Its you who are "ignorant as a fuck",go read something instead of coming to you tube and assaulting people with your ridiculous ignorance.

  • @StellandBlood Sorry different account "LOL,you could have just shut up instead of babbling such crap, they had roads, they are the source of modern literature, and political thought, legal codes " <--see? you've just proven my point completely. All that shit the Roman never actually invented themselves, they just stole it off the Greeks, not only that, once they became powerful they just fucked the Greeks over also, face it, they were the ultimate culture thieves

  • @NelsonsCannon

They adapted the best of other cultures, there would be no Rome without Greece and the Etruscans, still most of what I mentioned they did invented.

  • @lindachegwidden

Germany gave Britain a hell of a bombing, japanese almost destroyed the feeble british-indian armies, and promised independence to the asian peoples, despite being on the victor side in WWII,1950/1960´s,all was over, while Rome lasted 1500 years, with constant wars,in several fronts.

  • @lindachegwidden

Roman Empires were so incredibly important, that are widely considered the fathers of the western world, their falls, defined ages, while the British was almost a footnote in history, past 50 years few outside the UK/Australia/Canada remember.

  • @StellandBlood What was so important about it? what did they really have that the "barbarians" didn't, other than fancy buildings and writing?, they pretty much just stole 90% of all their Ideas off the Greeks anyway~ The industrial Revolution and most of modern worlds inventions come straight from the Brits. But don't worry you won't see it glorified in Hollywood movies cuz they are made by American Jews-

  • @lindachegwidden

"What did they really have that the "barbarians" didn't, other than fancy buildings and writing?",

LOL,you could have just shut up instead of babbling such crap, they had roads, they are the source of modern literature, and political thought, legal codes(so called roman law) today covers all democracies in the world, aqueduts, medical and sirurgical tools, huge numbers of instruments and tools for engineering, construction and measurement, fast curing cement........

  • @lindachegwidden

    reinforced concrete(not a modern invention)ambient heating,odometer,magnifying glass,showers,cheap glass,and its mass production,overshot water wheel,hydraulic mining,Alum,reaper,heirapolis sawmill,long bridge construction,dams,indoor plumbing,foot-powered loom,tooth implants,glass blowing,stenography,greenhouse cold frames,cast iron,mangle for ironing,scissors,street lightning,sewers,hard sodium,mercury gilding,great number of war machines.......

  • @lindachegwidden

army tactics still used today, steam engine and industrialization(III century,it wasn´t you brits) and much more, great part we will never know. They were influenced by Greece, nevertheless they perfected what was taught to them, the modern world was even more influenced by them.

  • @lindachegwidden :epicfacepalm:

  • You NEVER underestimate the Celts, and you NEVER march through a narrow forest road in their territory. I'll wager that if Boudicca and the Brigantes allied with the south eastern tribes, Roman occupation would end in less than 15 years in Albion.

  • This is from King Arthur the Movie...

  • I don't buy stories about women overpowering Roman legionnaires...

  • Celts warriors are nothing in front of an imperial roman legion. The contrary could happen just in a (mediocre) movie.

  • Yea I don't think any limey bushmen took on the legion and won. As I recall my history the brits were licking the boots of anyone that came along...

    This is all fantasy

  • @reece45 You're right. The 9th legion went lost along with the golden eagle (symbol of Rome itself) - it was never again reformed, Romans were extremely superstitious. It was never captured or destroyed. As well, the Romans built what is today the city of London (Londinum). They brought civilization there, while the barbarians were killing each other for a cow or a chicken. They can say what they want, but History is there.

Brits, French (Asterix), Germans are just jealous.

    Saluti dall'Italia.

  • @atnight87 but i bet that was the best chicken or cow they ever had :)

  • @atnight87 Bullshit. It has been proven that some savage barbarian stories were invented by Romans. The Celts were highly developed culture. Watch Terry Jones' Barbarians here on youtube about various myths Rome created about Barbarians. Don't forget that at the time the fastest development was achieved by Mediterranean basin nations. While in the cold north with the harsh conditions technical and social progress was much slower as pure survival for human was in the first place.

  • @Lachausis you basically confirmed what I stated. Rome brought civilization to an arretrated society (in term of civilizations). Celts had their culture, their rituals, no-one is denyin that, but they were highly arretrated in terms of society, contructions and so on (like many other barbarians at the time). There's no myth in it - without Rome, London wouldn't even exist. The only myth is this film about the 9th legion.

  • @atnight87 The Romans were great way ahead of their time but they were also kind of evil. I'm Glad the barbarians owned them in the end. =)

  • Interesting mix of "Braveheart", "Rome Total War" songs. The Picts would have looked a lot uglier here, and the Romans a lot less like Britons..

  • @UberNovice I'm putting you guys in the category of insane that I put the people who believe we're controlled by lizard shapeshifters. The only people brainwashed here is you, frankly there is nothing wrong with other cultures and all of them are unique and interesting. We've been multicultural for so long, Romans, Saxons, Celts we always have and always will be. What perverse ideology is this? That we should get along with our fellow humans? Gods forbid we actually be civil!

  • @UberNovice Well said. Clearly treeeboy has been brain-washed by the Western mass-media to such an extent that he can no longer see the wood for the trees.

  • @UberNovice You're right, we should all be ignorant racists. Your ancestors would frankly be ashamed of you. I bet you don't know one bit about their culture, beliefs or faith. I bet you're not even pure blood yourself. You don't have any right to bitch about other people coming to this island, seeing as how we've been going to their countries for centuries and settling down. Stop being a simpleton.

  • @Treeeboy There is nothing more hypocritical than a gullible brain-washed social-marxist indoctrinated buffoon such as you calling someone "ignorant racist". The British mass-media is totally controlled by multiculturalists who constantly promote their perverse ideology. Gullibility is a sure sign of ignorance and when confronted with diametrically opposing political views the gullible believe the propaganda that is most prevalent. Clearly you are the simpleton.

  • I thought Centurion was an interesting movie, I searched to see if Titus F. Varilus was a real person, he wasn't. Before seeing the movie I ddin't know about the Picts. The massacre of the 9th in this film reminds me of Boudicca's assault on it during her rebellion and the battle of Teutoburg Forest in Augustus reign. The Romans sucked when it came to fighting in areas where they couldn't manuever well.

  • @ndkblackhawk /watch?v=EU5_bAlAgRw is that better?

  • @conor845

    Yep, that's very nice :D!

  • I mean its already no mean feat to invade territories like Britain and all the way into Persia. The legions weren't perfect but they are the most elite fighting force the world has ever known, even up to this age.

In a fair pitch battle, the Roman legionarries form mandibles that are like a machine that grinds away at the enemy line, yet flexible enough to flank wedged in enemy positions due to their mandible formations.

  • If the Celtic peoples are so heroic, as this video suggests, then instead of dreaming about the past they would be leading a new armed struggle to liberate Britain from the present illegal occupation and demographic holocaust known as "multiculturalism". If your Celtic warrior ancestors arrived in the present they would take up modern arms and lead resistance against multiculturalist genocide.

  • @5thcenturyad Britain has always been multicultural, your point is void. We've had Celts, Saxons, Romans and everything here.

  • @Treeeboy NO!....your point is void. Britain has indeed always been multicultural in a tribal sense, but it has never until extremely recently been multiracial. Stop hiding behind semantics and wake up to the uprecedented demographic genocide that is now been inflicted upon these islands. Are you even aware that England will have a non-White majority within 25-35 years. Maybe you live in Scotland or Wales and think you are immune? Think again, parts of Cardif an Glascow have already fallen.

  • @5thcenturyad Strictly speaking the Welsh should be the most concerned I would think. There are only about three million of them in the first place, they've been outnumbered by the English and Scots for a long time, but now there are actually more people born outside the EU living in Britain than there are Welsh and there are more speakers of each of Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Sylheti and Cantonese (And probably more besides) as first languages than there are of Welsh.

    It's actually amazing.

  • @Injektilo7 Yes, it is amazing, but what is even more amazing is that there are still large numbers of White people in Britain like Treeeboy (I presume) who refuse to admit or acknowledge this holocaust that is happening all around them.

  • @Injektilo7 You are also an idiot.

  • @Injektilo7 So they don't want to learn how to speak Welsh? - how could that be possible?, they're Living in Wales, right?

  • @gyrofoam1 Answering that question in proper detail would take longer than the character limit of YouTube really allows. Suffice to say that Welsh is (Not innacurately) viewed by many as being less "useful" than other potential languages that could be learned such as French or German, coupled with the fact that the UK education system in general simply has a very poor record of producing bilingual students.

  • @Injektilo7 I think the key word is "bilingual" - more youngsters learn a second language now than 10-20 years ago. We have kids where I live in England who speak French almost as soon as they learn English. We learned German. Gaelic is taught in Ireland and is the official language of the EU ( understandable;everyone in Europe speaks more English than French as a 2nd language). No-one sees Welsh as 'not useful', just too much of a minority language and not much good outside of Wales

  • @gyrofoam1 im 18 and in America all my friends speak english in school but spanish immigrants are crossing borders and putting business signs up in spanish in the cities. We all still prefer english as spanish sounds like monkeys talking, besides we speak english in america not fudo no si bananna!

  • My mother language is Spanish, I'm Mexican, and I dont need to go to US, these immigrants who go to your country are poor and ignorant people looking for work, they can barely pronounce and speak the Spanish, they have very deformed pronunciation with many vulgar and nasty words like the "Spanglish" and almost all of them have rural ulgy accent, and other rare indigenous words, for us immigrants are what for you are the "rednecks".

  • Comment removed

  • @gueropalma1990 Totally not. Rednecks built this nation.....Thats why Mexico has dramatic crime rates. I live near New York, Aint a redneck.

  • @gueropalma1990 Except "rednecks" run businesses, helped put men on the moon(Huntsville, AL), and over a third of them have college degrees. Most of the rest have a HS diploma. What about your "immigrants"? Only places I've seen them work are in chicken plants or farms owned by wealthy "rednecks". You know nothing about the people in the U.S, other than what you've seen in movies which perpetuate ignorance in the simpleton, such as yourself.

  • well, apparently did not understand what I wrote, initially it is a clarification of what the common opinion of Mexican immigrants, immigrants reality for us, would be what you call them rednecks, it seems that you miss the point , i do not insult you or your country, as you've done to me, dont be close minded, do not mistake ordinary Mexican citizens with those immigrants, as I do not confuse ordinary Americans to the common rednecks.

  • @gueropalma1990 No I understood what you wrote and was just calling out the ignorance. "Redneck" is a term that used to refer to southerners that worked out in the fields, because their necks would become sun burned. It eventually became an offensive term, or kind of like "nigger" was stolen away by southerners and the meaning changed. It is ignorant because I can tell you simply base your opinions of certain members of our society based on some hollywood comedies you've seen.

  • @gueropalma1990 Or some other non-sense that perpetuates stereotypes. These "rednecks" as you call them aren't sitting in their log cabins, with false teeth, shooting at black people, but that's probably what you believe. How can you expect me to respect you when you insult me with your comments? I was just pointing out, you know nothing about any part of our nation, in fact you've probably never stepped foot in this country have you?

  • @gueropalma1990 I was telling you that you should stop believing everything you see in the movies and making, generalized, ignorant comments based on some of the most ridiculous stereotypes in the world. The people in our country, the south included aren't living in tents or 19th century log cabins. We have colleges in the South too, and over a 3rd of the people there are educated. Most of the ones that aren't are illegal immigrants or black, not the traditional "redneck".

  • @gueropalma1990 I don't have any problems with the people of Mexico, the ones that come here legally or in their home country. But, I'm going to have problems with Mexicans that insult me or my country and needless to say, my response to those Mexicans are going to be similar to my previous comments; very negative.

  • @gueropalma1990 As for calling ourselves Americans, we have more than a right too, and it makes perfect sense. We named our land after the continent itself, minus the North part. It is the United States of America. Yes, it is the name of the continent, but it also became the name of the land, people have a right to name their land after the continent it is on; Australia did the same thing. Should we call ourselves United Statians? Non-sense, we use Americans, like it or not.

  • @daFattylover You're right, of course. There was no such thing as America before European geologists/cartographers named it after an explorer, Amerigo Vespucci. The natives of the continent didn't call themselves Americans. As the explorations continued, the adventurers who'd gone to settle the northern half gradually became known as Americans. This didn't refer to Spanish colonies, named Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Argentina, etc. Brazil (Portuguese)

  • @gueropalma1990 To correct my earlier post *Over a third of the people in the south have a college education, not just educated. Most of the rest have a high school diploma. But that is the southern states with all residents included. The number of those with college degrees is actually higher for the white residents as blacks and illegal Hispanic immigrants are generally less educated. Though this number is higher for the immigrants than blacks. *

  • @daFattylover Number of Hispanic immigrants have higher number of members without college degrees or high school diplomas I meant to say on this post.

  • @daFattylover It is so sad how the United States has stolen our identity. Hispanics are people from the Iberian peninsula. What is now Spain. Hispania was Roman Spain like 2000 years ago. Now US americans call all aztec and mayan decendents hispanics and latinos. Also celtiberians are the celts that travelled from Galicia norther Spain to what is now Scottland. The Scottish celts are decendents of northern Spain. Whatever, we have no history in the USA.

  • @gueropalma1990 Just to clear that up. Southerners are nothing like the immigrants that come here. Like I said, I'm willing to rethink my views about Mexicans if they can gain some control on their citizens, and will stop harassing us about taking action against illegals. Also, I'll gain more respect if it's citizens will stop being so ignorant in their comments towards my countrymen. Maybe then my comments will change also to something more positive.

  • you Us-centric point of vew is a falacy, learn what is an American or what America truly is, your arrogance will become shame, your country name is: United States of America, not America , America is a continent, the new world, if you dont know, all citizens under the sovereignty of the King of Spain born in the american lands of the Spanish Empire since 1492-1820 called themselves Americans, even long before the arrival of the english and the black slaves to north america, prick.

  • @gueropalma19 And if you're trying to lure me into a flame war you've got the wrong person. There are many more videos on youtube and I've already seen this one, so I will not be coming back here just to argue with you. I just wanted to point out that I know you are wrong in nearly everything that you said, except that Mexico has some good to it. I know Mexico has some beauty outside of the high crime areas and drug cartels. But for the most part you were regurgitating ignorance.

  • @gueropalma1990 I'll apologize for making the cesspool comment. I wouldn't have normally made it, but you made me angry with your previous insults. That is all, and this is my last visit. Good luck to you.
