  • After tweaking it a bit I think I've found the perfect combo:

1/2 cup of nutritional yeast flakes

    7 on the vine tomatoes

    1/3 cup of cashews

    1 garlic clove

    1 tsp of garlic salt

I blended it on high for close to 5 minutes.

    The results?!

Piping warm almost hot delicious soup!! The tomato flavor is there but not as pronounced. It comes to 440 calories.

    Thanks Jane! You're the best!!!!

  • @trimbleforcongress

This sounds fab!! I have printed it out for my file and hope to make it on camera, attributed to you, of course - thank you - I like tweaks like this.

  • Do u need to add the yeast

  • @zzzyashiezzz

You don't have to add the nutritional yeast flakes if you don't want to, it will still be good. Try it and come back and let us all know what you think. These recipes are easy to modify. Try avocado instead.

  • At what speed did you do this? And was it on high or low???

  • @MelodyLubart123

    Hi Melody,

Probably on high. For soups I usually start on low just so everything doesn't blow all over the blender, then quickly ramp to 10 and then high.

(Sometimes I just start on high and let it rip.)

Of course, for chopping, etc., I use the low speeds.

The speed you choose and whether you pulse or not depends on the ingredients and what end result you want.

    :)

  • Anti-aging made possible by tomatoes... AMAZING!

  • @soupoftomato6

    I'm amazed, too :)

  • do you think that by blending veg that is high in Vit E, it would make a good face-mask to help heal skin complaints, like spots etc?

  • @johnboyjj

I don't think it could hurt, but you'd better google it and see what fruits and veggies to blend and apply to certain skin conditions, I know I've seen that info online.

  • Can't wait to try this......looks so yummy!

  • @BoomBoomsMama

Thanks! It definitely is yummy :)

Let me know what you think.
