  • Hi Davie,

what did you mean when you held up the chartruese tail litez and said "one to have, yiou know what to use that for"?

    Cheers!

  • Hi madaboottroot,

At the time I was tying this fly the Cats Whiskers version which has chartreuse on the body was working really well and a couple of my friends didn't want me to tell, so that's why I said you know what this is for...

    All the best Davie

  • At rgers 123, you can use this fly rainbow trout and blue trout but not Brown Trout. Rainbows are stupid, brownies are not. How many things in the water are neon pink, but the Rainbows go mad for it.

  • Your flies are just beautiful. It is a pleasure to watch you tie.

What type of feathers are you using for the eyes on this fly?

    Thanks,

    Dale

  • Hi Dale,

l'm glad that you are enjoying the videos..The material that I have used for the eyes is Jungle Cock..

    All the best Davie

  • wit fish do you use this fly for

  • Hi rgers123,

This fly is used mainly in lakes and lochs here in the U.K especially for rainbow trout, it's tyed in a size with competition fishing in mind..

    All the best Davie
