  • You can also use condensed milk. My mom use to make Thai iced tea all the time and she used condensed milk.

  • Can you used evaporated o condensed milk?

  • How much thai tea should you our into the pot?Because that was alot.

  • Also, if you're serving it to a group and you want the half and half to sit on top of the tea like it does in restaurants, pour it directly onto one of the ice cubes in the glass.... Slowly and in a thin stream.

  • When I worked at a Thai restaurant, we'd put the loose tea in a nylon before we boiled it. When it was done, just pull the nylon out and you're done.

  • coffee mate works fine, but in my country (Thailand) they usually use condensed milk to mix with the prepared tea, then after mixing they usually add fresh milk to finish it...

But hey, there's more than one way to skin a cat

  • HAHAHAHAHA, there are coffee filters in the background

  • you should use hail the amount of cream next time... there is a fact that you can get sick from having too much cream in the thai iced tea... also along with the coffee ... i learned that from my parents restaurant/bar

  • O__O, i made mines with milk instead of coffee cream , still tastes good

  • @BboyAsianBoy I'm pretty sure that would be called Thai Milk Tea xD

  • @gotchacoke lol same here

  • Usually a teaspoon does fine for 6-8 ounces of water... not sure if it's necessary to use half the package for a couple gallons of tea, but at least it will be a strong brew

  • I Love Thai Iced Tea!!Especially Wwith Boba!! Tahnxx For Teh Video!!

  • love u darling

  • Wow nice. This is one of my favorite drinks...thanks so much for this video. I love the color of the tea, it's like a super orange. Would you be able to give some measurements for the tea and water you used? I'm so lost without something like that. Regardless, I'm makin this today! =D

  • thanks for the video :)

  • Thank you soooooo much! I'm really excited about this. You even used my favorite creamer. : )

  • o czym ty mówisz?¿?¿?

  • I was wondering if Thai tea has any bad side effects, if I drink it twice daily?.

  • @truelovewaits23 No. It can be a little fattening because of the creamer, but tea is good for your immune system.

  • Hmm, couldn't you just put the tea leaves into a cloth bag and remove it when your done steeping it?

  • the person who paid 4 bucks for a glass is being robbed.

you can buy a can for 50 cents at any mexican grocery store. once i ordered thai ice tea at a "fancy" thai shop and i watched my waitress open a can and pour it into my glass.

  • @vinger79 lol..she just had to do it in front of you too.

  • Thanks ! Now I know how to go about making it!

  • Is powder coffee creamer okay?

  • @koyfishie9 no cuz the powder wont mix really well on cold water :/

  • @koyfishie9 or u can just evaporated milk :P

  • @babesta07 Thank you!

  • I WANT SOME!!! i love thai tea.

  • I love thai ice tea (^_^)

  • your voice is so sweet! thanks for the video...thai iced tea is my fav!

  • thanks for your help, i have thia tea powder which looks like thai tea you just showed, are they both same because the package directions are same as yours but it tells me to put the leaves in a strainer since the directions are for making 1 liter tea only.

  • 4 dollars a glass? god damn where are you people going??

  • thank you so much!!

  • 1lb bag for 2.59.

i used 2 full bags for 1 pot full of water. holy crap, i guess i'm doing it wrong lol?

i like my thai tea strong, the other time i barely tasted the tea with 1 bag :\

  • @SyndicateAss the same thing happened to me too just add sugar while boiling the tea and leave the tea leaves in it for atleast 5 hours maybe over night if posible you willl see your tea will taste so strong

  • i need the leavess !!!

  • Mine's like 1.75 a glass at a viet restaurant and if you buy the thai tea already prepared in a bottle at an asian supermarket, its' like $1 . lol cheap.

  • It's like 1.25 at a local Vietnamese restaurant. I love living in Orange County :)

  • thanks sooo much for the vid!! :o)

  • pinay ka ba ate?

  • ohh my god.

i spent 3.75 for a large thai tea this morning.

    :(

    hahaha

  • Thanks for making this video. Do you ever make your Thai Iced Tea with the "Pearls?"

  • @arell56 Those are called boba or tapioca pearls. You have to buy them separately then boil them to make them soft.

  • <3 Thai Iced Tea. Thanks for this!

  • Try using evaporated milk instead of half and half

  • i made 10 cups of this and 5 minutes later it was all gone

  • instead of pouring, ever hear of a LADLE??

  • @cmandaro A ladle would stir up the leaves that sank already so you'd have to clean out the filter while you pour instead of just at the end.

  • my friend loves you <3

  • thumbs up if u are here becuase of timothydelaghetto!!

  • That looks delicious..

  • Thank you so much! :D

    Your recipe is very good.

But you HAVE TO try the tea with coconut-milk instead of half&half or any other cream..It's so delicious :)

I made my own thai tea-creation...Instead of adding cream or coconut-milk just add lime-juice (or lemon-juice),yummy.

  • That pitcher looks to be 2 gallon size, or at least 1 1/2. Very good presentation! I love how easy you made it all seem. Thank you : )

  • mmmm yummy

  • awesome

  • Tea leaves and coffee grounds make great compost !

  • yum yum

  • how do you know who much water to use with the tea leaves? I didn't hear you mention how many cups of water or amount of tea leaves.

  • @naveeyyy guestimate.

  • thanks for sharing this video...i love thai iced tea!!!

  • are you pinay?

  • wonder if condensed milk works cuz its sweet

  • yes it works.

  • @JTsai Yup! Codensed milk would work!(just make sure you don't use it with sugar or it'll be too sweet) Some people even use evaporated milk instead ^^

  • I am drinking Thai Iced tea right now....I love this tea so much.....The flavor is amazing and I can imagine this as a shaved ice too!

  • @NJBellyDanceEvents right on!

  • lol..im viet and i love thai iced tea..and it does looks so good...and is there a way you can show how to make the bubba for it(if you know how)?? =)

  • bubba aka boba is just large tapioca balls

  • You can buy tapioca balls at Viet markets OR buy the tapioca starch. It's the same thing that you use in che (or che chuoi).

  • you're adorable :)

    Thank you for sharing. :*)

  • I loved the casual matter-of-fact presentation in your video! I'm completely ready to make some Thai Iced Tea myself now.

  • cutest voice ever

  • great video thanks !

  • the tea you use for thai iced tea is called CHA THAI

  • are you vietnamese or sumthing? cuz thats viet

  • im filipino but i got this recipe from a thai restaurant owner

  • yeah can't you just filter out the tea leaves through a coffee maker?

  • Yes, you can use coffee filter to filter the tea leaves. I usually just line a fine strainer with coffee filter and use that.

  • another thing i want to add is, when i make this at home i just let it brew in the coffee maker. easy clean up.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! I've been craving Thai iced tea for a long time... =D

One quick question; is there any other stores I can go to besides an asian store to get Thai tea leaves?

  • @Agnauraq Anywhere that sells tea(or larger grocery stores) is likely to have it. Just make sure you buy loose tea leaves and NOT TEABAGS. Teabags have inferior tea leaves and don't have a strong enough flavor.

  • ^_^ yay! ive wanted to know how to make thai ice tea at home for months! this was a really useful video...thankies
