ok,everytime i try to post,it disapears,so if this shows up 3 times ,forgive me....watch this show,its the best cop series ever,i'm american,& we love our cop shows,but this is better by far,than almost all of ours..love this man,esp when he takes his clothes off,wonderfull to have such a beatiful guy who is also a great actor,usually you get 1 or the other,here we have the whole package

The new series (series 5) is coming up on BBC1 i think next month, series 1-3 are available on dvd with series 4 and 5 being released together i think its 17th september (as a single release)

It IS made by BBC NI, but I think the quotes more referring to Murphy/Jimmy's actual nationality.
