Dear Greg, i can relate to you. every test you did, i had to do, i am all most 13, and since i was 7, i have had 7 heart attacks. i get a lot of chest pains, my heart raises some times, my normal heart beat, is so low, i am like a 105 year old man( well woman). i have CPVT, i am the only one in Canada who has this heart condition. Maybe if you want to find out what you have, go to Vancouver in BC, then Children Hospital and ask for Doctor Sanatany. I hope you feel better. and i send hugs to you

People assume that person has that condition because they're fat.why is one and not the other judged so harshly...for all we know that skinny person could be doing drugs!
Havent read through the comments and whatnot, but its possible it was a pinched nerve or something in your back, causing one side of your rib cage, the side your heart is on, to pull down and thus causing the pains. This is in theory of course, but something to look out for should it happen in the future. Kurt Cobain had a pinched nerve resulting in severe stomach pains [which singing as he did probably didnt help any] and one of the Hanson dudes had a rib removed for his heart condition.

i know that doesnt sound 100% ligit but !! my dad was telling me that the other day my uncle went to a bbq at a friends house for lunch and all they had was meat ( idky thats really stupid but yeh ) and o to be polite he had some, it was the tiniest piece on the plate so he thought he would be fine. for the next week he could liturally not move. he's bones where all cramped up and stiff and the pain he experienced was phenomenal he hasnt eaten the slightest bit of meat since and now he is fine

When i was 2 weeks old i was suffering with leakage in my left valve of my heart, docter's ran scans and tests on me and i was found to have a minor leakage in my left valve. I was asleep for about a week and had my first surgery. Two months old my mom was told i needed another surgery. Valentines day of 2nd grade i had my 3rd surgery in less then 24 hours. and i'm due to have another surgery for a valve replacement in my heart, when i turn the age 18. Don't smoke&drink while pregnant please!!!
I had the same thing growing up. At least, the way you describe it sounds exactly the same because my condition was un diagnosed as well. I believe it may have been a side affect of taking a particular asthma medication, which I've since switched from. But after I became vegetarian about 4 or 5 years ago, it almost completely went away, apart from one or two occasions over the past few years (not every day like it used to be). So maybe vegetarianism helped you too. Just a thought :)

I am currently have some pains in my left arm, and a hard time breathing. This has been going on for week due to my high anxiety attacks. I'm 16 and my left arm is numb, does that mean I'm gonna have a heart attack, or could I have a numb left arm for another reason?
@MASR4 Ive had that to, I have REALLY bad anxiety attacks, you're 16, you're fine, go to the doctor and just have em check you out, I did, and my doctor said I was having bad chest pain and arm in the left pain due to horrible anxiety, they gave me some meds, everytime I get an attack, I take em, and within a few minutes, Im good to go.
i have the same thing and i fear that one day if i'm out with my friends or something ('cause they dont know about it) that if it happens to an extent where i can move because of the pain that i'll just die there and then
I had the same thing happen to me started begging of 10th grade , happened randomly , stopped about 1/2 - 3/4 of the year . have had little pains since then but not near as bad , now im about to start 11th grade . but im kinda just alot afraid of hospitials ...
when i was born i had a hole in my heart, unlike my sister i didnt get it fixed. I dont know if its still there or if it is gone. @1997BonBon you have atrial septal defect. i have it too, i was actually an extremely severe case with 6 holes. i was a tester for an invention called a 'septal occluder' which was successful for me and is now used on others :) the way they were made, the one that covered all 6 holes was too big for my heart, so we used the smaller one and i still have a hole and have a heart murmur from it, you also have a murmur because of the irregular heart beats, i also get heart palpitations sometimes

Wow, they threw the whole cardio lab at you - nuclear stress test, cath, echocardiogram and a Holter. From my experience of having almost died from a heart attack (genetic disposition, not lifestyle) and having an AICD and subsequent 4-graft bypass I can tell you if there were something they would have found it. Chest pains, or Angina, would not have resulted from an enlarged Aorta, but constriction of your arteries (blockages). But you already knew that. Thus endeth the lesson.
With all that medical torture and frying radiation exposure you got your going to be ok going through a TSA body scanner at the airport, it won't make any difference in your case, everyone else stay away and opt out of them.

I used to get pains exactly like this all the time.. I had the same caset player, strapped to my chest, And ... The results were inconclusive T.T
But through experience, I've found that mine were triggered by stress, I think... and they became less and less over time, and now have completely gone away. IDK if it's cause I stopped caring about stuff, or it's just an age thing. but yer. you're not alone. lol

I have a mild heart murmur and I get chest pains every day. To the point where I want to go to the hospital. My heart doctor told me that the chest pains don't have to do with my heart murmur. It is hard to believe but he is a well respected heart doctor so I have to trust his word. I don't know why I get these pains but they can hurt so bad at times and I do get afraid that I will die from it. I am glad that you don't get them anymore and I hope that when I turn 23, I don't get them too =]

I have this weird heart pain that feels like its in the back of my ribs like right under my heart (wich i take it as heart pain) . To make it simple , it feels like someone shot me in the heart with an airsoft gun. It might've been stress or stuff you keep inside~ I find that I get them due to the amount of anger I bottle up. My ex actually had pills to take for the exact same reason as me -see why we're exes?-
The radiation would have been so your organs absorbed it and the scan would see how much they absorbed (To see if they took in as much as they are meant to.)
I had chest pains from time to time too, I did research, went to doctors. Doctors were saying that everything is fine with my heart. Eventually I figured out that it was all about stress in all its different forms. I got the right attitude, like more stronger and more love and fun, more relaxed (i.e. more positive and relaxed) also Nature walks, vacations and stuff - all pains magically went away.
Stress is the number one heart killer, more than anything else like food, smoking, etc.

It could be anxiety(not to underestimate your situation by any means) but my heart problems are more prominent with stress & anxiety-however, Iam totally aware of the difference between anxiety & when I have an svt, but still it contributes to the problem.
I actually had to do ALL of this stuff myself. I was diagnosed with PSVT (paraxymal supraventricular tachycardia) . I had severe chest pains, couldn't breathe and major fast palpitations. In 2004, I had a catheter ablation to try and correct the problem. It made a huge difference in my life but I still have symptoms. If you ever start feeling the symptoms again, mention PSVT to your doctors. It might be this that you have. Hope this helps!
Quick one to onision. Are you depressed, bipolar,or anything of that nature? I ask this because you frequently pause in your sentences and take a moment to think you'll say first instead of planning a whole sentence. This could be for mental reasons,or physical problems. Just asking.
My son and husband get bad chest pains once in a while but one doctor felt they were having a problem with either deep chest muscle spasms or something like that and not their heart. So far they seem to be healthy relatively speaking so I am cautiously optimistic that they are both OK despite this strange and disconcerting quirk. Hopefully what you have is also not a threat to your health! Take care!

Commonly chest pain is felt near the heart in young adults due to a muscle that gets stretched as it's growing there. I spoke to my doctor and they said they don't know why it happens. It's more common in women, but men can get it too. I don't know if that's the case for you or not. But yah.

I had chest pains like that too I'm not sure why I don't really get them too often anymore, almost never. The doctors didn't seem worried so I didn't care and it hasn't happened since i think a year and a half ago. It's weird.

I was complaining about cheat pains on a daily basis in 8th or 9th grade.and my doctor told me was "oh its all in your heard, "your depressed" i never got any tests run on me.
That's terrible. It's amazing the way that some doctors really listen beautifully to their patients and some don't. Maybe you should consider going to a different doctor.

I am currently have some pains in my left arm, and a hard time breathing. This has been going on for week due to my high anxiety attacks. I'm 16 and my left arm is numb, does that mean I'm gonna have a heart attack, or could I have a numb left arm for another reason?

@MASR4 Ive had that to, I have REALLY bad anxiety attacks, you're 16, you're fine, go to the doctor and just have em check you out, I did, and my doctor said I was having bad chest pain and arm in the left pain due to horrible anxiety, they gave me some meds, everytime I get an attack, I take em, and within a few minutes, Im good to go.

when i was born i had a hole in my heart, unlike my sister i didnt get it fixed. I dont know if its still there or if it is gone. I also have an irregular heart beat that i dont know is related or not to the hole i have/dont have. I hope that I dont end up in a hospital bed of something heart related that was there for years and i never knew. That would completely suck!

@1997BonBon you have atrial septal defect. i have it too, i was actually an extremely severe case with 6 holes. i was a tester for an invention called a 'septal occluder' which was successful for me and is now used on others :) the way they were made, the one that covered all 6 holes was too big for my heart, so we used the smaller one and i still have a hole and have a heart murmur from it, you also have a murmur because of the irregular heart beats, i also get heart palpitations sometimes

Wow, they threw the whole cardio lab at you - nuclear stress test, cath, echocardiogram and a Holter. From my experience of having almost died from a heart attack (genetic disposition, not lifestyle) and having an AICD and subsequent 4-graft bypass I can tell you if there were something they would have found it. Chest pains, or Angina, would not have resulted from an enlarged Aorta, but constriction of your arteries (blockages). But you already knew that. Thus endeth the lesson.

i have a heart condition as well.. they run in my family so odds are im going to die from a heart condition one day.. i had to get an EKG done and blood work and they don't know what's wrong with me.. these symptoms arent supposed to show up until im much older so im kinda scared that this'll wipe me out sooner rather than later.. wouldn't that be tragic? i never went thru with suicide, i've fallen in love and i'm only 14.. if i die from this soon.. man.. that'll be a story for the kids.

I used to get pains exactly like this all the time.. I had the same caset player, strapped to my chest, And ... The results were inconclusive T.T
But through experience, I've found that mine were triggered by stress, I think... and they became less and less over time, and now have completely gone away. IDK if it's cause I stopped caring about stuff, or it's just an age thing. but yer. you're not alone. lol

I have a mild heart murmur and I get chest pains every day. To the point where I want to go to the hospital. My heart doctor told me that the chest pains don't have to do with my heart murmur. It is hard to believe but he is a well respected heart doctor so I have to trust his word. I don't know why I get these pains but they can hurt so bad at times and I do get afraid that I will die from it. I am glad that you don't get them anymore and I hope that when I turn 23, I don't get them too =]

I have this weird heart pain that feels like its in the back of my ribs like right under my heart (wich i take it as heart pain) . To make it simple , it feels like someone shot me in the heart with an airsoft gun. It's bearable (or however you spell it) and it happens rarely , ive told my mom but she hasnt done much to investigate. I think it could possibly be a minor case of what you have/had

They have a less complicated name for it, besides echo-cardio-whatever, they call it "heart break syndrome" and many other names. it's where stress basically wears down your heart tissue or something, can't remember, it's on wikipedia :) idk, I might be totally wrong, but, oh well, at least they stopped.

I had chest pains from time to time too, I did research, went to doctors. Doctors were saying that everything is fine with my heart. Eventually I figured out that it was all about stress in all its different forms. I got the right attitude, like more stronger and more love and fun, more relaxed (i.e. more positive and relaxed) also Nature walks, vacations and stuff - all pains magically went away.
Stress is the number one heart killer, more than anything else like food, smoking, etc.

It could be anxiety(not to underestimate your situation by any means) but my heart problems are more prominent with stress & anxiety-however, Iam totally aware of the difference between anxiety & when I have an svt, but still it contributes to the problem.

I actually had to do ALL of this stuff myself. I was diagnosed with PSVT (paraxymal supraventricular tachycardia) . I had severe chest pains, couldn't breathe and major fast palpitations. In 2004, I had a catheter ablation to try and correct the problem. It made a huge difference in my life but I still have symptoms. If you ever start feeling the symptoms again, mention PSVT to your doctors. It might be this that you have. Hope this helps!

My son and husband get bad chest pains once in a while but one doctor felt they were having a problem with either deep chest muscle spasms or something like that and not their heart. So far they seem to be healthy relatively speaking so I am cautiously optimistic that they are both OK despite this strange and disconcerting quirk. Hopefully what you have is also not a threat to your health! Take care!

Commonly chest pain is felt near the heart in young adults due to a muscle that gets stretched as it's growing there. I spoke to my doctor and they said they don't know why it happens. It's more common in women, but men can get it too. I don't know if that's the case for you or not. But yah.

I have a heart condition, luckily mine is congenital and was noticed when I was 15 months old. I go through all those tests you are talking about on a yearly basis ... it sucks.

I had chest pains like that too I'm not sure why I don't really get them too often anymore, almost never. The doctors didn't seem worried so I didn't care and it hasn't happened since i think a year and a half ago. It's weird.
